That Newsletter currently goes out to roughly 4500 subscribed accounts. Oddly we’ve never thought to publish past Newsletters here on the forums, and that’s what we’re starting today.

Each week we’ll publish the past week’s Newsletter, meaning that if you’re subscribed you’re have the info a week in advance. *nudge*nudge*

We're halfway through August, and there's plenty on the go. Our €1,000 competition is entering its final stretch, a long-overdue overhaul of our Ratings system is underway, the new football season is up and running, and we've opened one of the more interesting debates we've had in a while.

Two Weeks Left to Hit the Target

Our €1,000 Bonanza Target Hit Challenge runs until midnight (BST) on 31 August, so there's still plenty of time to get involved.

Here's the thing worth knowing: the Silver board is filling up nicely, but the Gold tier is still remarkably thin on entries. One big hit on Bonanza over the next fortnight and you're straight into contention for the largest share of the pot.

And if a monster multiplier isn't on the cards, the Bronze tier covers everything from 10x upwards, with the top ten each taking €30.

Our Ratings Are Getting a Rebuild

Now that the site migration is complete, we've finally been able to get properly stuck into revising the Casinomeister Ratings.

Among the proposals on the table are separating jurisdiction into its own standalone number, giving greater weight to the things players actually care about, like payment times, significantly increasing the weight of a casino's response to complaints, and adding a visible breakdown so anyone can see exactly where a rating comes from.

Nothing is set in stone yet, which is precisely why we're asking now. If we've missed something obvious, we want to hear it.

Stake: Time for a Second Chance?

Our long-standing warning against Stake is now under review, and we're putting the matter to the community.

One Last Shot Before the Bank Holiday!​

The final Friday of August is upon us and, for those of us here in the UK, there's the added bonus of a Bank Holiday Monday to look forward to.

It might have been a slightly quieter week than usual on the forum, but there's still plenty to keep an eye on as we wave goodbye to August. The Casinomeister Ratings Are Getting an Overhaul​

If you missed Max's announcement earlier this month, there's some important work going on behind the scenes concerning one of the longest-standing parts of Casinomeister—our casino ratings.

We're currently revisiting how casinos are rated and looking at how the system can be revised and improved to better reflect today's online casino landscape.

And importantly, this isn't something we're doing behind closed doors.

We want the Casinomeister community involved, so if you've got thoughts on what should matter when rating a casino, what perhaps shouldn't carry as much weight as it once did, or how you'd like to see the ratings evolve, we'd like to hear them.

Merkur Founder Paul Gauselmann Dies Aged 91​

Some sad news from the gambling industry this week following the death of Paul Gauselmann, founder of the Merkur Group, at the age of 91.

Gauselmann was one of the most significant figures in the European gambling industry, building a business that grew from its origins in Germany into the international gaming group behind the familiar Merkur brand.

His influence on the land-based and online gaming industries spanned decades.

Autumn Arrives and We're Off on an Adventure! ​

Autumn or Fall is here, the summer is disappearing into the rear view mirror and, here in the UK at least, we're rapidly heading towards that wonderful time of year when putting the heating on becomes a financial decision requiring a board meeting.

But while the temperatures might be starting to head south, things are most definitely warming up on the Casinomeister Forum.

Our brand new September exclusive competition has only been live for a matter of hours and already passports are being stamped, challenges completed and entries collected.

Meanwhile, we've also got an important player warning to bring to your attention involving a crypto site that decided spamming the Casinomeister Forum was a good idea.

Spoiler: it wasn't.

Grab Your Passport!​

After August's Bonanza Target Hit Challenge, we've gone for something completely different this month with the €3,000 Casinomeister Passport Challenge, sponsored by our friends at All British Casino and FortuneJack Casino.

And it appears you lot didn't need much encouragement to pack your virtual suitcases.

The competition has been live for less than 24 hours and we've already had eight forum members pass through Border Control and have the first stamp added to their passports.

This isn't your usual hit a multiplier and post a screenshot competition either. Throughout September, members can collect different Passport Stamps by completing a variety of real-money challenges at their designated participating casino.

There's the Explorer Stamp for playing five different slots, Bonus Hunter for triggering five bonus rounds, Gold Rush for landing a win of 100x or better, Card Shark for venturing onto the tables or Live Casino and Game Hopper for playing games from three different providers.

There's also a Souvenir Stamp, plus the mysterious Bierfest Stamp, which involves tracking down a hidden image somewhere on the Casinomeister main site.

And for those determined enough to complete the lot, there's the coveted VIP Traveller Stamp.

Different stamps earn different numbers of entries into the final draw, with a completely filled passport giving you a maximum of 13 chances at one of the prizes.

The good news, however, is that you absolutely do not need to complete everything to win. Even collecting a single qualifying stamp gets your name into the draw.

15 Winners – €3,000 Prize Pool​

And this month we're spreading the loot around.

There are 15 separate cash prizes, starting with a €500 first prize, followed by €400, €300 and plenty more all the way down to 15th place.

Each member can win a maximum of one prize, so once your name comes out of the hat, your remaining entries are removed. That means we're guaranteed 15 individual winners sharing the entire €3,000 prize pool.

The competition runs throughout September, finishing at 23:59 BST on 30th September, so there's plenty of time to get involved.

Trocrypt.com – Thanks for Bringing Yourselves to Our Attention...​

From something fun to something considerably less so.

Casinomeister's Nate has issued a Player Beware warning concerning Trocrypt.com, following a rather curious attempt by those promoting the site to get themselves noticed.

Over the course of a few days, Casinomeister received a wave of new forum registrations, all using usernames referencing Trocrypt and all posting essentially the same marketing material around the forum.

They wanted our attention.

Mission accomplished.

Unfortunately for them, when Nate attempted to visit the site, antivirus protection flagged and blocked it as unsafe. That prompted a bit more digging – and what was uncovered certainly didn't improve matters.

The domain itself is relatively new, having been registered in December 2025, with the owner's identity hidden behind a paid WHOIS privacy service. There is no visible company name, jurisdiction or directors, while Nate also found numerous poorly rated websites sharing the same server.

Perhaps even more telling was discovering the same promotional copy being sprayed across completely unrelated forums around the internet – covering everything from technology and finance to consumer sites and, apparently, even a bass guitar forum.

When you're promoting a supposed crypto financial service to people discussing bass guitars, subtle it isn't.

More concerning still are some of the search terms the material appears designed to target, including queries about withdrawing money using card numbers, CVVs and expiry dates, accessing funds without an OTP and whether money can be withdrawn using ATM card details.

Hardly the sort of thing that screams reputable financial service.

The advice from Casinomeister is therefore very straightforward: stay well clear of Trocrypt.com and do not provide the site with your card or financial information.

Another Friday rolls around and we're already well into September. The nights are drawing in, summer is rapidly becoming a distant memory and, judging by the Casinomeister Forum, quite a few of you have decided that the best response to autumn arriving is to grab your passports and go travelling.

This week we've got an update on our €3,000 Passport Challenge, we'd like your thoughts on a completely different competition idea, we're asking whether the humble casino bonus still has a place in your gambling life, and we've got an important reminder about a particularly nasty scam doing the rounds.

But first, let's see who's been travelling...

The €3,000 Casinomeister Passport Challenge has now been running for a little over a week and we've already got 15 travellers taking part.

Even more impressively, five members have already earned the VIP Traveller Stamp by completing their passport challenges. Clearly some of you don't hang around once you've cleared Border Control!

But here's the important bit: you don't need to fill your passport to have a chance of winning.

If you've been looking at the competition and thinking you need to complete every challenge, you don't. Simply earning the Border Control Stamp is enough to give you one entry into the €3,000 prize draw, which takes place on 1st October.

Of course, the more stamps you collect, the more entries you can earn – but one stamp means you're in the draw and have a shot at one of the 15 cash prizes on offer.

Clash of the Casinos – Would You Take Part?​

Sticking with competitions, we've also been looking at another potential format for the Casinomeister community – and this time we need your feedback before anything goes further.

The proposed Clash of the Casinos would see a number of participating casinos going head-to-head, with forum members trying them out and providing feedback on their experiences.

It's a rather different beast from our regular monthly screenshot and challenge competitions, and that's precisely why we want to know whether it's something you would actually be interested in taking part in.

And while we're talking about competitions and casinos trying to tempt players through the door, here's another question for you.

Once upon a time, bonuses were a huge part of online casino play. Deposit bonuses, reloads, cashback, free spins – players would often shop around specifically looking for the best offer before deciding where to play.

"Deposit More Money to Release Your Winnings"​

Now for a timely reminder about a scam we've highlighted before, but one that is worth repeating because players are still being targeted by it.

You've apparently won. You request a withdrawal.

Then comes the catch.

The casino tells you that before it can release your winnings, you need to make another deposit. It might be described as a verification payment, a tax, a processing fee, an account upgrade or some other official sounding excuse.

Whatever they call it, don't send them more money.

Legitimate casinos do not require players to keep depositing increasingly large sums of money simply to "unlock" winnings. The money you've supposedly won is the bait; the objective is to persuade you to keep sending real money in the hope of eventually getting it back.

And once you've paid one fee, don't be surprised if another suddenly appears.

25 Years – September 11th, 2001​

Finally, today marks 25 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001.

For those of us old enough to remember that day, the images and events remain difficult to forget.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the attacks in New York, at the Pentagon and aboard United Airlines Flight 93. Behind that number were thousands of individual lives, families and friends whose worlds changed forever.

A quarter of a century may now have passed, but the enormity of what happened that day has not diminished.
