PowerPlay has quietly built itself into a solid option for Canadian players since entering Ontario’s regulated market in 2023. Operated by Deck Entertainment B.V., regulated by the AGCO and the CGA, and holding an iGaming Ontario licence for its sportsbook, the casino has undergone a noticeable transformation in recent years. Following a rebrand and a major platform upgrade in 2025, PowerPlay has placed a stronger focus on mobile play, introducing a redesigned app and a smoother user experience across sportsbook and casino products.
Not everything hits the mark, though. We were left scratching our heads over the VIP programme, which support confirmed exists but couldn’t really back up the claim with evidence.
In line with that, customer support is definitely a mixed bag. Live chat performed well during our tests, but email follow-ups were nowhere to be seen.
Generally speaking, we can’t really close our eyes to PowerPlay Casino’s getting all the basics right, especially with the move to improve the user experience. But doing the bare minimum won’t earn them any gold medals at Casinomeister. More like the smallest of nods.

We’ve had one Complaint against PowerPlay in recent years and in the end we decided that it came down to the player having not read the Terms, so all good on that issue. The casino offers an industry-standard Complaints procedure backed by IBAS as their ADR which is again “all good”. What isn’t so clear is the casino’s self-exclusion policy which seems to boil down to “get in touch and we’ll help”; not great for players who want to step back immediately without faffing about over it. So overall it looks like a good casino in need of updates on some of its policies: tentative thumbs-up.

PowerPlay Casino Bonuses and Promotions
Loading at the ‘Offers’ page at PowerPlay, you’ll notice that the section is neatly divided into sports bonuses and casino bonuses. Scrolling through the collection of promotions, you’ll see they’ve come up with lots of ways to give you the option to test the waters at PowerPlay without putting a huge dent in your wallet.
Each bonus has its own personal set of terms and conditions, though you can find more general information in the main Ts and Cs section. We recommend reading both before you claim anything, but everything looks to be in working order. A $10 minimum deposit, mixed with an average of 35x wagering to be met within 30 days sounds like a semi-reasonable deal.
Game restrictions are all over the shop, with progressive slots contributing 0% to wagering, blackjack and roulette contributing 10%, and slots being consistent at 100%. For your own sanity, try sticking with slots until you complete the wagering.
Following a few comments found in our forum, we wanted to check if there was a 10x maximum cashout for bonuses. Turns out, PowerPlay doesn’t apply a universal 10x max cashout limit across all bonuses, as some promotions can offer relatively small bonus amounts (e.g. $10) while still carrying a maximum win cap of up to $4,000 depending on the offer. Glad to have cleared that one up.
VIP and Loyalty Programme
Noticing no VIP or loyalty programme on the site, you might assume that PowerPlay doesn’t offer one. However, they do talk about a VIP scheme in the FAQs, so we reached out to live chat support, who claimed it’s real. But after we wanted to see it with our very own eyes (read: asked for a link to their VIP page), the rep just referred us to ‘the VIP team’ (whatever that’s supposed to mean). Then, they just outright disappeared despite it being midday on a Thursday.
We definitely can’t give them a pass on this, so for all we know, the VIP programme at PowerPlay Casino doesn’t exist.
Banking & Payment Methods
Variety isn’t the word that first springs to mind when looking at the payment options at PowerPlay. They cover card payments, e-wallets, bank transfers and even crypto, but there are relatively few options within each category. Visa and Mastercard are available for those who prefer traditional fiat methods, while Bitcoin and Ethereum cater to crypto players.
Withdrawal speeds at PowerPlay don’t hang about, with e-wallets and crypto payments taking up to 24 hours, while card payments take 48 hours. There are a few downsides to consider, such as the potential withdrawal fees and withdrawals only getting processed between 8 AM to 5PM EST. On the plus side, withdrawal caps are $20,000 daily and $100,000 weekly, which is pretty generous, as it should be.
You won’t be able to play until your account has passed verification, though. This includes uploading a few documents in the verification section of your account, such as proof of ID, proof of funds, occupation clarification and possibly a selfie. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
Responsible Gambling
When putting our casino reviews pen to paper, we kick every casino’s tires responsible gambling-wise. If they don’t step up to the plate in looking after players, we’re not shy about flagging it.
Turns out, PowerPlay offers a good range of tools. They are all located in the ‘Responsible Gaming’ page found in the footer. You’ll see deposit limits, loss limits and reality checks, as well as cool off and self-exclusion. You can set all limits via your account settings, allowing players to set the pace for their playing habits.
Though, it’s worth pointing out that deposit limits are calculated on a net basis, rather than a gross deposit limit. This means they factor in withdrawals, too, and these can effectively increase how much you can redeposit over time. The only workaround is to combine the deposit limit with the loss limit. But we’d still wish not to have to get creative with RG tools, so this is far from a point in PowerPlay Casino’s favour.
Customer Support at PowerPlay Casino
Customer support at PowerPlay covers a lot of ground, with 24/7 live chat, email support, FAQs and a phone number. A promising sign that soon soured once we put them to the test.
The live chat was perhaps the saving grace of the bunch. It was easy to access, and each time we were connected to a human agent in under a minute. For the most part, they were able to help with any question or query we had, with the added bonus of being available around the clock.
At one point, a live chat agent passed our request on to the VIP team and assured us that they would get back to us via email as soon as possible. More than 24 hours later, we’re yet to hear a peep from them. If you’re looking for a reliable response, it might be best to stick to the live chat.
The FAQs could be a useful alternative, but the page design makes it difficult to find what you’re looking for because the red writing is difficult to read and the overall layout is a tad confusing to find topic-related questions. They’re only really helpful if you happen to stumble across the exact answer you need before carrying on spinning.
PowerPlay Casino Experience and Features
PowerPlay treads familiar ground with its website design. You wouldn’t necessarily pick it out in an online casino lineup, but perhaps that’s what makes it so accessible and user-friendly. The red, black and white colour combo work well together to give the casino a sleek look and, for the most part, it’s easy to navigate. You won’t spend hours figuring out where to go next, as the site map is optimised to get you playing in record time. Load times also won’t slow you down, so you can focus on logging in and getting straight back to your favourite games.
One of the upgrade features from 2025 was a new betting app with a redesigned interface. Comparing the old PowerPlay app we previously used to the new one, you can immediately see that this development has been put to good use. The new design is quicker due to improved technology, consequently making it smoother too. PowerPlay clearly considers how to streamline the user experience on a small screen, making it as accessible as possible. It is a one-size-fits-all app, meaning you can place sports bets and play casino games in one place on both iOS and Android devices.

PowerPlay features 44 game providers, including big hitters such as Evolution, Pragmatic Play, NetEnt and Games Global. There are a few up-and-coming studios in the mix too, so it’s worth checking out Fantasma Games, Foxium and Snowborn if you’re in for novelty.
Seeing this provider list at PowerPlay is particularly encouraging, as back in 2023, the casino only hosted games from Playtech. That’s a standout provider by any measure, but an expanded games lobby featuring a broader range of industry names is non-negotiable in this day and age.

Slot games are the centrepiece of most online casinos, and PowerPlay is no exception. This is where the majority of the games are concentrated, creating plenty of choice for players. We found a bunch of popular titles, including Big Bass Bonanza, Sugar Rush and The Dog House Megaways. The games lobby doesn’t appear to be lacking by any means, but with just shy of 600 games, however you slice it, it’s less than average.
Live Casino
PowerPlay’s live casino sticks to the tried-and-tested formula, offering a solid mix of blackjack, roulette, baccarat and game show titles. Familiar favourites, such as Crazy Time and Stock Market Live, sit alongside lots of live table variants. This would definitely spread your net wide, regardless of whether you’re into traditional casino action or after bells and whistles.

PowerPlay launched in 2018 as an offshore sportsbook and casino, originally operated by Deck Entertainment B.V. under a Curaçao licence. There hasn’t been too much commotion about the site in the past, but since shifting more towards the Canadian market, comments have started to crop up. These seem to be part of a wider discussion rather than anything specifically targeted at PowerPlay, but they do suggest a bit more visibility and scrutiny as the brand has grown in the regulated space. Complaints and Track Record
We spotted a handful of complaints in the PAB section over the years, but not enough to raise any real concerns. In one case, we found ourselves siding with the casino, as the issue appeared to stem from the player not fully understanding the bonus terms and conditions.
All in all, no alarm bells are ringing here at this point.
