My online slots videos (plus UK AWPs)

A reupload from the old channel, originally uploaded December 2017.

This is quite an interesting trick that worked on the real machine, getting £140 (double the jackpot value) on a single credit.

If you're not familiar with UK AWPs, in online slot terms imagine a slot that has a 5000x stake top prize, and there's a trick you can do to win 10,000x stake from a single spin.

This was done out in the wild on the real machine, and it was possible to do it twice on the same machine with stake switching, for a total take of £280. (Leaving a very dead machine behind you, as it knew it'd paid it out, and being compensated, it then had to get it all back.)

Couldn't you have at least left a discretely placed yellow post-it to warn the next punter! "degsy was here" :p

Lol!

The decent side of me did feel regular pangs of guilt when I left hundreds of machines on their arses back in the day, following a successful (but legal I must add) "bashing" session

This soon passed however when I returned to same regular locations a week later to repeat.

More I see on this thread together with YT videos in general grieves me on just how much we missed out on, that being said to be fair we also did get to take advantage of a good chunk of sloppy(???) programming.

I just, naively, remember feeding some of these games note after note. I didn't really know what RTP was at the time but can certainly remember doing my nut on Andy Capp (6 quid jackpot), Luxor, and Ghost Train IIRC. Road Hog also felt a few quid in its prime.

Summer was also the good time our seaside town - the ones from Belfast would drive up, spunk their cash in them and like vultures we swooped: few times we equally needed to dash outside as, when they heard the coins hitting out, they (weirdly) got angry

Hopefully your SWP videos didn't reveal too much personal info and can be resurrected. Your playing of The Mating Game whilst half-cut had me in stitches, and there isn't another video on Youtube (that I can find) that even shows the gameplay - so from a historian's perspective, it would be great to keep it!

All those machines are emulated pinnit, so if you want to play them again you can do so free of charge in the emulator :)

As it happens Mr Blor, I already had The Mating Game on the reupload list so I'd already done the timecodes for it, I'll get it uploaded and published later today. I'm trying to do a new (old!) video every two days at 5pm.

Latest reupload, originally from July 2018.

Fairly straightforward video about a couple of old nutty BFM £6 jackpot AWPs that streaked like bastards, but would rip you a new arsehole if you caught them wrong.

Latest reupload from the old channel, this is a combination of two videos that I've re-edited together into one and done a few snips for stuff that was no longer relevant.

Not sure if this was one of one @trancemonkey 's machines, I know he was working at Impulse around this time :)

Maybe ;)

Very cagey :)

Do you have any theory on why the machine allows itself to be trapped for the jackpot off Super Hold once and then skips it every single time thereafter? It clearly knows it's there and avoids it (completely!) when it wants to, but if no one else has done it, it'll have the Super Hold trap in it, and then the 1/12 trap after that.

A stunning new update to the amazing Arcade Simulator, this one is really quite something!

(All available completely free of charge, this is a passion project.)

Not visited the arcade in a while now but just had to have another peek after the latest video/updates.

It is looking simply awesome, JP has done an incredible job and to think it is this good yet still nowhere near the "finished article" , well let's just say "WOW!"

Degsy, do you have a decent link to a free MAME download please as I feel this is why none of my video games are working in the arcade, sadly the external hard drive you sent me a few years back, packed with all the MAME stuff has stopped working.

Cheers!

There's probably a way to download it all for free if you're committed enough, but a full MAME collection is so massive now, and across so many thousands of games that you're best just paying one of the ROM burner services to send you a collection.

The drive that I sent to you is a copy of a drive I bought from a ROM burner, from memory it cost about £90 and given that the drive and postage added up to about £65 or so at the time, I thought that was more than reasonable.

You're looking for a service like this:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

If you want another copy of my MAME collection (which is the same as it was a few years ago, it still works fine), then by all means post me over a hard drive (500GB just about does the job), I'll copy it over and post it back to you :)

Hats off to mr Parker, amazing what he's created, and really good to see the arcade games added, sat watching that just wondering 'how?', so clever.

He really is the nicest chap too, super active over at Desert Island Fruits, letting people know what he's tinkering away with, if anyone reports anything not working properly he investigates and fixes it in the next patch - doing the whole thing as a passion project completely free of charge.

This is what he started with 18 months ago, and look where we are now!

Latest reupload, albeit only going back to May 2021 for this one.

This is one I wanted to get back up as it was a decent method on the real machines out in the wild, and really shows how the coders just couldn't get on top of their shit when it came to fixing this stuff.

We used to block everything when the comp was in level 0, and then above that, we would mostly let the control loosen. That doesn't mean there isn't a bug in it, but I would never keep track of whether someone had used that super hold "bug" or not...

Latest reupload, this time covering a truly magnificent fruit machine from 1991/92, where Maygay literally put a small telly into the machine that you could play simple videogames and trivia challenges on for money.

Would you classify the 1/12 trap as a bug/mistake? It isn't an emptier because if the machine has no value in it then it won't let you get the platinum Impulse symbol which is required for the setup, but it is possible to keep the machine in a permanently unhappy state with this trap, and it'll never pay a jackpot naturally to anyone not doing the trap unless they put a load of money in.

Hi mcgameboy I was intending to keep the online slots stuff completely off my new channel, separation of church and state as it were.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a second channel for online slots reuploads, so it could go on there I suppose, is there anything in particular in that video you were interested in that I could review and post back here about?

I miss the 3dice content=). Cool unique slots. Thanks for the reuploads so far though.
