My online slots videos (plus UK AWPs)

Hi mcgameboy I was intending to keep the online slots stuff completely off my new channel, separation of church and state as it were.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a second channel for online slots reuploads, so it could go on there I suppose, is there anything in particular in that video you were interested in that I could review and post back here about?
The part I was interested in was how/where you find the RTP within the "inspect element" (that bit when you press F12 on the browser), which
then splits the screen in half.
I do remember watching the video you did on your old Degsy channel, but my memory of the finer details is rather sketchy.
Was there something about having to only use Google Chrome?
And also that Play N Go was the only provider that a casino could falsely advertise a game's RTP for, via the casino's own help file?

Yes, Create a new channel and add the low ebbs to it

I can get that info out of the video and just post a few screenshots and a quick guide, there's also a thread somewhere here at Casinomeister where it's explained too but I wouldn't fancy my chances of finding it.....

Oh yes and also this emptier for a modern £70 Deal Or No Deal fruit machine, quite a complicated method but a lot of money to be made.

More coder incompetence where the players worked out shit that the coders didn't.

The extra life not losing seemed an intentional little thing left in during that era as quite a few DONDs it could be used to a player advantage (They did remove it for the £100 upgrades!)

Nothing quite as extreme as an emptier but for example on Cops And Robbers / Right Deal Right Time you could get an extra life then land on a Noel head on the inner board (by the time you were on the inner board you would have 3 white Noel heads so that would turn 1 red), gamble and if it lost to either 2 or 11 - of course a lot of luck involved here but the point is it was stupid enough to do it from time to time - you simply went lower, higher (or higher, lower) for the 3 red Noel heads and GATW!

DOND Live you could do in a similar way with the Noel heads but for some odd reason that even worked if you hit a 3 or a 10! (I remember they eventually chipped the £70 version from winning the second extra life gamble though!)

Even without emptiers a very profitable time the late £70 - early £100 era was, you were of course competing with 100 other players but literally every single pub had at least one machine of interest and 200 drunk people filling them up daily too!

Yes so many of the DONDs were massively doable, I'm still not entirely sure if it's industrial grade corruption or incompetence on Bellfruit's part. For some reason there were never that many DONDs over here, so in many cases I had the methods but none of the real machines to do them on!

Thing is though, if a player or players were already on them, they were miserable things to play, There was a Mega DOND in a pub in my town, and at least one person must have been on it, because it was always completely on its arse whenever I played it, £2/£3 block boards and never a sniff of the DOND game, I'd chance the odd tenner when I was in there, but it was pretty much permanently on its arse.

Compensated machines are flat out just a bad idea IMO, and I'm glad they've died out, and I say that as someone who's been winning on them since 2001.

Latest reupload, this is quite an interesting one, a fully emptiable club machine with a £250 jackpot. We never had early unchipped ROMs for this one for years and years, but someone dumped the ROMs out of a real machine that still had early ROMs in it, and we were away with trying to work out the details of the emptier. Someone over at Desert Island Fruits managed to work it out, he passed the info over to me via some detailed private messages, and after a few hours of practice over a weekend, I was ready to make a video about it.

This was a real thing out in clubs, a true 'infinite emptier' for a club fruit machine, with hundreds of pounds available to the player who could do it.

There was only one of these that I knew of in Wolverhampton, located in the Riley's Snooker hall in the town centre.

Trouble is there was always a "restless mob" of regulars in most days and nights so we had to tread very carefully lol.

We'd usually fire it up and nearest win a cheeky £150 rather than the JP, just to make sure it never needed refilling or even got close to "what's going on over there" type scenario.

Once we'd took the "free win" collect a couple of £20's or so to kill it off and leave it for a couple of weeks, got away with maybe 5-6 visits doing this before the machine got changed.

Wish I'd been a bit braver!

Latest reuploads to the channel, the Coronation Street one is just me banging on about how the machine is. The Bullseye one is a full emptier thanks to an absolute clanger in the code that under very specific circumstances allows attract mode to be carried over into real play.

Best ever game show. It was actually a guy in Northampton who won the speedboat - the point in the UK furthest from the coast in every direction. I think you were a bit unkind about the special prizes, luxury holidays for 4, reasonably priced car, fitted kitchens etc. The most infamous episode was the one with John Cooper in, a quadruple murderer, rapist and robber from Wales whose appearance and his distinctive permed hair led to an eye-witness ringing the police and stating she was 100% sure the bloke in the artist's impression and him on TV were the same one she saw. So the police get all the episodes from Central TV and went through them until they found the identity of this bloke and he was later given a whole-life sentence. I always wanted to know if this guy and his partner on the show actually won the special prize - they did win through to the Bully's prize board but lost the gamble for the special prize. A crime documentary actually settled this question of mine a few months ago. He actually won a substantial prize jackpot on Spot-the-Ball and spunked the money in two years which was the main reason he embarked on a life of murder and robbery, having tasted the high life for a while.

Back to the slot - I am glad about this video as I KNEW there was something going on regarding this game back in the day, with a lad or two furtively seeking them out in the local arcades. Like Jono, I was in the dark alas.

I hope 'The death of the fruit machine' goes back on the channel. Fingers crossed

No problem Phil, as chance would have it I'd set aside a bit of time to get one of the old videos timecoded ready for reupload so I did that one. Should be up on the channel in the next few days.

Out of interest, any particular reason why you wanted to see that one again?

Here you go @philderby1

------------------

At the time of making this video it may have seemed a little premature (as compensated traditional reel-based AWPs were still to be found with relative ease in UK pubs), but I was basing my prediction on what I'd observed on the Isle of Man (as we were ahead of the UK with random machines in pubs). Given what's happened to the AWP in the UK in the four years since I made this video, I'd say the prediction has turned out to be pretty accurate.

Chopley, do you know the difference in laws in IOM and UK currently, and how they are in licensed premises?

Any compensated machines I have played in the last few years have absolutely destroyed any money in . No fun at all.

The old days of AWP (early 1990’s) at least it seemed fair until people learnt how to take advantage.

Compensated machines were fantastic for all the extra features/ skill stops etc , just needs a company to bring more interesting features to random machines now.

We've got the same rules for compensated machines that you have in the UK, so currently that's a £100 jackpot at up to £1 per play. (Over the years we have basically mirrored UK legislation, with the exception that tokens were never a thing here (you have to go back to the £8 jackpot and earlier days for that), so whilst UK machines paid out certain wins in tokens, they were always all cash here, we had specific IOM ROMs in our machines.)

The difference here is that the random £500 machines have been legal in pubs for years and years (since about 2005 or so I think), and as per the video they have basically wiped the compensated AWPs out, as people prefer to have a fair punt on a random machine than get their arse handed to them on a plate by a bent compensated machine.

I’m wondering why they can’t make a new pub market out of random £100 jackpots?

Surely a better option for the UK casual pub visitor .

I wouldn’t really want £500 jackpots in a boozer , £100 is plenty .

£100 jackpot random machines are the mainstay of UK pubs now, there are loads of them :) (Unfortunately they tend to be on rather poor percentages, 88% and suchlike.)

OK this one is a re-edit of a video from the old channel, it has been updated with the channel intro, a couple of tightenings of the edit, and has footage of the real machine being trapped (by me in an arcade here) added onto the end.

This was a fiddly one to get right, but once I got my eye in with it, these machines became decent, consistent earners, didn't really seem that anyone else was doing them either, the ones I had here were basically always ready as long as I left them for a decent amount of time between 'visits'.

Latest reupload shizzle on the channel.

The Super Blackjack Club one turned into a rather interesting insight into how club machines compensate themselves and allocate RTP to certain things.

I had to laugh at the second video, as it reminded me of an old Bastardcrest £150 jp I used to own. I tried hundreds and hundreds of pounds trying to force it past the 'bar' 4 features down from the top on 88% setting and it soon became apparent that as long as I had a hole in my arse it would never do it, it was simply impossible to achieve on that combo of dip switches/RTP. It got so stupid that to compensate it dropped the £150 triple-red-bars 4OAK jackpot in a couple of times when holding just one or two of them so the RTP could catch up. So I came to the same conclusion as you - that after getting the machine so far behind % the best policy was to play features to and gamble cash to just below the barred level.

On every RTP setting there were differences - I recall on one that the Cashpot 3 symbols would ALWAYS drop in between 80.00 and 81.00 after a really stupid deliberate spin, and afterwards you would be able to gamble the cash up to £50 for 'afters'. Then fuck-off. All in all, my conclusion was the same as yours - however these compensated AWP fuckers were ever allowed to be produced and inflicted upon the general public is still a mystery to me, it's one of the biggest unpublicised scandals in UK history.

Imagine a product in any other industry which had pictures on it of features and characteristics that were simply impossible for the consumer to ever see or use, yet were visually advertised as such - for example a Walkman pictured with earphones/plugs and when you bought it or used it it had NO 3.5mm jack socket. The fines and repercussions from various agencies would be enormous. Yet for 40 years these pieces of shite were allowed to suck in the gullible or ignorant to the tunes of thousands of pounds with often a gambling problem resulting. Your eyes literally welling up on occasion when some poor mug was in the zone pumping hundreds into some poxy machine in a club or arcade chasing the impossible. (Like I did once seeing a lad spend over £200 on a 10p £5 convsersion, almost every spin allowing him to get to the £4 level but whatever he did, busting him on the final step.) In that instance I tried explaining that the MPU board was set so it was impossible to do, just to take the lower prizes and get say £20 back. When down to his last quid he actually did this - achieved a compensatory run of £21 before it went dead. I was hoping he'd smash the thing in, but he looked depressed. Ironically, I had just moved and it turned out this lad lived in the same block of flats as me. He avoided my eye every time he saw me, embarrassed no doubt. Poor fucker.

Bullshit and I am sure I was one of these poor unsuspecting fuckers until I hit my more clued up days, albeit on a smaller scale, common sense alone would tell me not to put £200 into a £5JP lol....

At a young age (early - mid 80's), I'd regularly go to the local social club with my Dad, game of snooker, few soft drinks, game of bingo maybe, you get the idea.... One night, recall like it was yesterday, watched this bloke mid 40's come in with this fat envelope full of £20's guessed it was his weeks or maybe even month's wages from a local warehouse or factory where they paid cash.

Several trips to the bar for £1 coins until the envelope got paper thin, spunking £10 after £10 into the 10p play £100 machine (can even remember the name, Maygays 'Club Reserve' )

Only watching from a distance but sure the best he got was about £15, think this would put me off for life but it did keep me away from Club Machines and only play AWP's until a good few years later when I had a much better idea what I was doing. Penny never dropped once with this bloke he was most likely being mugged off by the machines compensated program.

They had a Black Jack club at Sunny Sands Caravan park in Barmouth, played but always took wins to cover the cost of 2-3 pints and never pushed it past that.

They also had at the same park, Psycho cash beast club....... Sadly I never knew of the empty at that point, it was that far back and new to the site at the time it defo would not have been a re-chip one!
