Your Input Please FOBTs stake reduction brought forward.

The point is what is the difference between loosing your money on a FOBT or loosing it online? Anyway you play your going to loose both ways, I don't think having a cap of £2 on roulette numbers or no more big bets will make any difference in shops, most players I have seen including myself play the slots all the cap will do is just make it take longer to loose or win. Now say I decided I don't like the £2 cap on roulette I could just go online to leovegas, videoslots, williamhi etc etc and play there but not only could I bet the same as I used to do on FOBTS I could bet a lot more not just £50 or £100 bets but thousands on one spins and hey hoe loose it all in one spins, yes you can win so much more online but you can also loose so much more as well. See my point and if not that's the problem everyone is looking at this as a hate the FOBTS that will cure everyone's gambling problems, it won't it will never cure it. What would cure the problem is if they 100% banned gambling in the UK, bookies, online and land casinos, not to forget bingo halls, lotteries and practicly anything that has a bit of gambling attached. But they won't too much money to be made

The thing that appeals to a lot of FOBT players is the anonymity of it, no kyc checks or waiting weeks to be paid out, you take your ticket up to the counter and have the cash right there and then (usually when they've emptied one of the other machines of some poor souls money)

Yes, whilst the cap will mean you can still lose a lot of money, as you say @Scott1baird it takes longer, thus meaning that if people play them they will be on there longer, and with the 4 machine max it may mean people wont be able to get on them at all in the first place if they are being used.

Sure banning the FOBTs will never cure the problem, I dont think thats what is being suggested, its more a case of having a fair crack of the whip when gambling, and not being robbed blind. yes you can put more on online, but you feel more like you are getting a fair chance of winning something.

like with the £500 cap, it means you can have a Jackpot screen roll in, which in reality to the winlines should pay maybe as much as £1500, but you dont get that extra. a lot of the time if you hit jackpots you are only really getting money back or worse, like you get to a stage where you know youre in the shit when your £300 down and unlike online where you can roll in a huge win, its capped.

I wonder if the jackpot screens of say £1500, and the machine jackpot amount of £500 are factored into the rtp? that might explain a little of why they play so poorly

‘Dilly dilly’.

The government and tax man has well and truly got their foot in the door,it will get worse by leaps and bounds,
regular increases in betting taxes will be the norm, as with cigs and petrol.Probably end up with state owned
online casinos as the established casinos are taxed out of existence and leave the uk market in droves.
Why the hell cant they leave us to gamble in peace and sort out out bloody brexit, its only taken them
2 and a half years to get nowhere with that.

To answer the first question of this post around 15- 20% better rtp online.
