Maybe Im looking at this a little simply, and I apologise if its way off, but wouldnt there be a potential positive for the casino if they just paid everyone and took the hit?
Apart from the fact it would create 100% confidence for players, but surely there would be a fair number of people on the 'sidelines' (i.e. who havent decided to play at big dollar yet) who watch these kinds of situations pan out in the forums who would think 'hey this operation is honest' and maybe throw some business their way? I know I watch reports about new casinos quite often before I play, and more often than not I avoid them because of what I read.
Unfortunately for the casino, these 'sideliners' are probably putting a big red line through them as we speak.
The only thing I will say in favour of Big Dollar is that the email DID say recipients of this email only - they should have set up the loyalty program to only award the promo to those invited, but the terms are still there in the email. RTG promo coupons usually work for everyone, even if they are ineligible, but the 'email recipient only' terms are frequently relied upon by these casinos to deny withdrawals and most have agreed this is reasonable in the past.
I know that if I discover a new promo somewhere, which I havent been offered personally, I always read through the terms or if I cant find them I contact support/live help. It is a few minutes well spent IMHO. We are all adults and there should be some onus on us to make sure we arent using something to which we are not entitled. Whilst forums (particularly ezboards) are great for keeping other players informed of good deals, there are many that just whack the code/promo up as soon as they get it and dont bother to check the terms themselves....and I suspect that it probably where some of these problems started.
The part I would be most upset about as an eligible participant would be my usually very fast cashout being delayed up to a week due to a combination of casino ineptitude and players who werent eligible who didnt look into things a little more.
