australian legislation amendments! HELP ME

I just withdrew 11k from spin palace in the last week to Neteller and have another 3k pending at Gaming Club.... Still waiting the pending period to go from Neteller to my bank though and both Spin Palace and Gaming Club no longer have bank withdrawal as an option.

Is anyone actually still playing online? I'm worried if I get a big win there will be some loophole, although guts,Trada etc haven't said anything?
I don't think you need to have any worries about getting paid by the "big boys" (casinos licenced in the EU) - especially if they are accredited here.
They will not just shut off Australia and steal player's money!

Last night i spent a lot of time (way too long really) reading the entire IGA bill, and the breakdown of each stage as it made its way through the senate. I copied and pasted all the best/worst/interesting parts and of course added my thoughts and so many jokes, like really really funny stuff.
You all would have commented on how informative, yet utterly enjoyable it was to read...
But Alas, I spent so long reading and collating the info, by the time i pressed submit, it said the page had expired and said 'press back and then reload the previous page'.
And I lost it all.... Waaaaaa.

Oh no - would be really great to read that masterpiece - I am lost with all those recent law developments - is there any chance you retrieve it pleaseeeee :) Thanks in advance!!

:(
I have been trying to locate the IGA bill text from the parliament website since thursday, (the same page i was on before) though i keep getting error messages for website maintenance .Capture.JPG
i'll keep checking the page and post the info as soon as they'll let me see it again.:)

Does anyone know or recommend any au registered or legit online casinos with slots to play at? Or is this really the end seeing as anything to do with MG or NetEnt seem to be gone?
Not all casinos with MG & NetEnt games have left Aus yet - but it's a virtual certainty that they will by the middle of the year at the latest.

I don't know if the Au government is going to license any online casinos or not, but there are quite a few who are "legit" in my opinion who will carry on taking Australian players as before - but they just wont be the ones with NetEnt & MG games.
I have already started listing these on my new Aus site (link in sig) - if anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know!

Welcome to the best gambling forum on the net

Nice page! I think it's very useful, but on the Best Online Casinos page - Vera & John needs to be updated as they are also no longer accepting Australian players.

As far as I know about the Australian Legislation, it refers only to online poker and sports betting, with not much mention of Online Casino but Australia doesn't have a licensing framework for Online Casinos so I doubt any Online Casinos will get a license, since they cannot apply for it, so Australians will be left with the foreign operators....I have my eye on All Australian and Gday and those with an Australian look or theme, but they are both owned by companies who have a license from Malta so their Australian look won't do nothing to help them operate legally

A decade or so ago Australia seemed to embrace online gambling and even had an official casino in Lassetters and another casino whose name I have forgotten. Both of these casinos, being government backed, received precious few complaints from players and personally I found them very fair. So they are now in reverse mode.

Australia

Good day,

In anticipation of changes in the gaming regulations in Australia, the Gibraltar Gaming regulator has requested that we stop accepting players from Australia.

These changes will come into effect at the beginning of May. We will communicate with our customers based on the timetable below.

Australia Plan.png

From 4 May 2017, our accepted markets will be: UK, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Sorry, I stand corrected, both sites are useful for information but yours is nicer looking, with no white background :)

I suspect once the ban is in place, around June, there will be similar messages to Casinos from their license givers, and the ones that care about having a good reputation will adhere to it.

The real problem Australia is facing is not that there will be no Online Casinos, but that there will be very few legit Casinos that players will know they can trust as they've had their reputation built up over several years. There will probably be some new names, with no info online, and the rogue casinos that will give you problems with your winnings. Online Casino playing will still exist in Australia, but the experience form the players point of view will be less enjoyable

Absolutely right in all respects
In other words, Australian casino players are facing the exact same future that American's went through 10 years ago...

I have decided to leave all online based casino because this government in Australia will causes too much problem to everyone living in Australia. If they close up online casino to Australia all of sudden it will affect our fund in casino. Its very bad move. I am sorry to say but I don't have choice. I have to be careful with money and fund movement. If they close suddenly I lose fund. Very bad business from Australia government, very disappointed to see this happen. 32Red closed my account permanent today as of 19th. I don't have any fund in it but I removed from 32Red software etc. I do not appreciate how this happen. It hurts the customer a lot.

The ACMA (australian communications and media authority) i believe is going to provide a list of legal Australian online wagering sites. i dont know what "wagering" covers, if its just sportbetting or like the horses, or if that means slots/ lotto etc...
this is the text in full-
Based on stakeholder feedback, it was decided that the register of unlicensed and illegal interactive gambling services will be changed to a register listing Australian licensed wagering sites. It was suggested that listing the legal wagering sites will be easier to maintain and will not inadvertently advertise illegal offshore gambling sites that should be avoided. It is important that the proposed new list does not in any way promote gambling and will rely on states and territories working with the ACMA to keep the list up to date. The list will be accompanied with text stating that websites not listed are likely to be illegal offshore gambling services.

anyway i attached the fun stuff if you like to read.... really riveting stuff, i was on the edge of my seat the whole time i was reading it, a real page turner, some might say...
most will not.

Anyone here use Betsafe? I just received an email...

We would like to inform you that we have processed your withdrawal but due to the changes of the policy you will not be able to process with further deposits and gameplay from your account.

When I log in now it says that my account is limited. I'm not sure if this has to do with the legislation or having a decent winning run there. This sucks because it was my go to site for the combination of casino and sports betting. :(

Did you check out CS for the reason? What did they say?

I tried the chat thing a few times earlier, but nobody answered. I'll give it another go now that I'm home from work.

Edit - Just confirmed it chat that it's because I'm from Australia. Can't use the site any more.

Are there any sites left that offer Casino + In-play Live Sportsbetting on the internet for Australian's? This was the only one I could find.

I think some Casinos might just add in their T&C's that it's the players responsibility to ensure they can play in the jurisdiction where they are playing from so that they rid their hands of having to pay winnings to Australian players.

I'm sure there are still sites where you can play online casino and in-play live betting from Australia, but as mentioned, most of the reputable ones will be leaving soon

I am considering BetOnline, I see they offer sports betting and live dealers. They seem popular with American players, so i think they should continue to accept Australian players.

However reviews of this casino on other forums are mixed. They are licesnsed in Panama and apparently charge a $20 fee to withdraw on Skrill, im not sure about other withdrawl methods. But please do reserch this casino before joining them, I'm still undecided myself. But im also tempted by the idea of sports betting + casino with live dealers

Evolution Software?

The site I mostly use utilises Evolution software...So far...no probs. Does anyone have an update of possible issues with Evolution?

Many thanks

Not that I'm a big fan of this group, finally had a win that got me ahead at their casino's (was only ahead by around $1500) with an email a couple of months later on a Sat night giving me a 125% special bonus offer for my account. Sunday make a deposit and find out claiming my loyalty points is suspended, their chat telling me when they sent the email it wasn't suspended but in under 24 hours the change was made, what a load of crap.

Wonder if end of this month is the pullout of the MG viper casinos for Australia :(

(still no email from any of the Digimedia ones yet)

Videoslots also have restrictions.

Saw this over on LCB:

"From Monday the 21st August, we will not be accepting new registrations from Australia.Customers that already have an account with us will stay active until further notice."

However, I haven't received an email relating to this decision. Has anyone else?
