UK businessman Raj Kundra understood to have abandoned Celebrity Poker
The operations of Celebrity Poker, an Indian-facing online poker site launched amid considerable hype in September 2016 by Brit businessman Raj Kundra and his wife, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, appear to have been discontinued, with the site no longer accessible.
Media reports indicate that Kundra, who has not yet issued a statement on the apparent closure, has abandoned the venture.
InfoPowa readers will recall that the idea behind Celebrity Poker was to involve celebrities, thus attracting users with the opportunity to play against stars of the sports and entertainment industries; among those named were Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Rohan Gavaskar, Harman Baweja and cricketing legend Shane Warne, although the latter has since denied any involvement.
