More Biting Humour In Brazil

Adidas pulls Suarez advertising posters following tourist photo trend

Adidas has pulled adverting posters in Brazilian cities that depicted a ferocious, teeth-bared head shot of disgraced Uruguayan footballer Luis Suarez, ostensibly due to tourist interest.

The wide publicity following Suarez's FIFA suspension for biting an opponent in a World Cup football match (see previous InfoPowa reports) triggered a trend among tourists in Brazil to pose for photographs next to the posters with various parts of their anatomy positioned between his jaws.

The "just for fun" pics caused a barrage of further unwanted social media coverage on sites like Facebook and Twitter.
