Isle of Man-based international hosting company wins Data Centre of the Year for sixth year running
Continent 8 Technologies, an Isle of Man-based company that operates data centres in several countries, has been awarded the prestigious "Data Centre of the Year" accolade for the sixth year running at the EGR B2B Awards in London.
The Awards honour and celebrate the best service providers and B2B operators in the eGaming industry, recognising achievements across all the major eGaming disciplines including betting and gaming software, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, IT and infrastructure.
Nick Nally, Continent 8 Chief Development Officer, who collected the award along with Peter Williams, Director of Global Sales, said, "This award recognises that Continent 8 continues to raise the bar in terms of service provision around managed hosting and network services in challenging locations and now services operators, networks and content providers in 10 locations, all connected over a global redundant private network."
Williams added, "In December 2014 Continent 8 reached a key milestone by signing up our 100th client in the gaming sector. The key to our success lies simply in our thorough understanding of our clients business, and this dictates our service approach."
Continent 8 CEO, Michael Tobin said, "New locations, products (Managed Data Backup, Enhanced DDoS), and services (an expanding global private network) will require even more new people to join the Continent 8 team and will accelerate our evolution into the next era of our growth.
"Continent 8 has made significant investment in Gibraltar and London and our Network Operations Centres providing second and third line global support services from Dublin, Isle of Man and Montreal."
Continent 8 has been supporting the global eGaming industry for more than fifteen years and now operates in three continents with ten strategically located data centres linked by a single private global network.
