Sportingwin, the ambitious online sportsbook operator, is going for goal in Romania after securing both a licence from the country’s National Gambling Office and the dedicated domain: Sportingwin.ro.

The operator will make its hotly anticipated debut in Q1 2024 where it plans to quickly take market share away from the incumbents such as Superbet, Unibet, Entain and Flutter, thanks to the superior experience it will offer to Romania sports bettors.

To coincide with its planned market entry in the first quarter of 2024, Sportingwin has penned a sponsorship deal with Romanian Cup holders, Sepsi FC. This forms part of a far-reaching marketing campaign that will be rolled out across the country.

Sportingwin is laser-focused on Eastern European markets and last year became the fifth operator to launch in Bulgaria and is already generating more than €1m YTD. Romania is the next step in its market roadmap with other jurisdictions in the pipeline.

The Malta-based B2C betting company delivers a winning player experience thanks to its modern and powerful platform, a wide range of markets and odds, big bonuses, localised payment options and a team of highly trained customer support agents.

Led by a team of industry veterans and sports betting specialists, the ultimate goal is to dominate Eastern European sports betting markets, making the company an attractive acquisition opportunity for one of the power players looking to enhance its presence in the region.

Mark Chakravarti, Investment Director at Sportingwin, said: “From day one, we have made it clear that we see huge potential in regulated markets across Eastern Europe and already our brand is well recognised by players across the region.”

“With our Romania licence in hand, we can now get ready to make our move in the market where again we see massive potential for our brand and the sports betting experience that we offer to players. This is a stand-out experience that will allow us to quickly gain market share.”

“Competition is stiff, especially with the likes of Unibet and Superbet already live and engaging players, but we believe our offering is a cut above the rest and that with the right strategy, we will be able to match the revenues we are achieving in Bulgaria within the first year.”

“Partnerships with the likes of Sepsi FC will really help towards not just hitting that target but surpassing it.”
