We are on the same page here - the point being made is that none of them appear to have industry experience... if say 3/22 had experience we might suggest they are under-represented, but it wouldn't be in a way that impacts their ability to function.Agreed that you need experience, just not convinced it has to be from the same industry in order to be good at your job.
I agree having that input from other industries - particularly those that provide insights to risk management, wellbeing and addiction - is extremely valuable, which was part of my observation that having too many would be equally bad... as it risks becoming yet another rubber-stamping quango.
As for Elon, I wouldn't confuse narcissism with smart... at least you wouldn't have to watch your back with a colleague like that because they'll happily stab you in the front instead to move up the ladder. ?
