Issues with Ladbrokes - Low Play'n go Slot RTP?

Hello everyone,

First of all i would like to say that this is an amazing forum and i wish i discovered it sooner as i feel that i got ripped off by Ladbrokes and what i've read on this forum about them has opened my eyes and makes me not want to gamble ever again. Apologies for the long thread, i will try and explain my situation with as few words as possible.

I started playing on Ladbrokes online casino around April 2021 as i wanted to try out a different provider than the one i was playing on (started gambling around August 2020 due to lockdown) and i thought that a good strategy would be to just play one or two slots because, in my head at least, i thought that with the help of RTP i won't lose as much money if i play one slot. I decided to play Rise of Olympus and Moon Princess (Play n Go slots) as i liked them the most from what i played before and i read that they had an RTP of 96.5% which i thought it was pretty good and that was the main reason of choosing those slots.

I've been playing Rise of Olympus for 2 months+ straight with some on and off playing at Moon Princess. I noticed that i was actually not getting any decent wins at all for a long period of time (3-4 days for example) and when i did get 1 win, it would not even cover 1/5 of what i lost so far. The bonuses were extremely rare and most of the time they wouldn't pay nothing at all. I was playing with 20p-40p spins and in total i've spend around 1.5-1.6k (that is net deposits, i've also played some of the winnings i had so the amount is more). I thought that i as unlucky but that kept happening for quite a while until something seemed to be really dodgy. Now you will tell me that everyone that's been losing money on gambling are blaming the RTP, the casinos etc and it's the typical behavior of a gambler. What worries me though is that i repeatedly asked them to tell me the RTP on that slot (the RTP is not written on the help section or anywhere else on the specific slot) as i wanted to see if it was tweaked on their website or not and they would not give me an answer (apart from a link that directed me to the RTP of microgaming slots Play'n GO Slots which wasn't even relevant.).

I actually filed a complain through Resolver because it was the only way for them to reply to me in a more decent manner than what i was getting on live chat (that's what i thought at least, proved to be the exact opposite). I asked them to justify the situation as i read the reviews on trustpilot and quite a few people are complaining about the exact same thing. They just said the usual stuff about RTP and how it works (they even told me that i don't know how RTP works and tried to be proper smartasses about it) and inn order to make me forget about the whole thing they offered me 20 pounds as i was a 'good customer' which i find completely ridiculous as i've spent way more on their website.

I know that at this point i won't get my money back but i am pretty sure they have breached some of the regulations that are out there ( for example RTS requirement 3C which states that the information that may reasonably be expected to enable the customer to make an informed decision about his or her chances of winning must be easily available before the customer commits to gamble and that includes RTP.). I've also set a limit at some point as i didn't want to spend more than a specific amount per month (80 gbp to be exact) but i was so annoyed by the fact that i kept losing again and again that i was changing the daily limit every day and then after 24 hours i was able to deposit as much as i wanted. Is this how they protect their customers?

If, in my case, the RTP is lower than the one stated isn't that illegal and if it is, can something be done in my case? Shouldn't they lose their license after all that's been done by them?

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.

How do you access the game help files? Is it the question mark on the bottom left? Because that is not accessible to me for some reason as i tried to click it so many times and it doesn't do anything for me.

Also, the stated RTP for the slot is at 94.51% but the official RTP is suppose to be 96.5%. 2% is a huge difference and i haven't read anything about such change.

Yes it's the question mark. If it doesn't work for you then it sounds like a local problem rather than server side, so I would imagine Ladbrokes would say it's not down to them.
I'm not sure where you are getting the 'official' RTP from, but PlayNGo have 5 settings, 94% is second top. A quick google search clearly shows that, and the first result explains it.

I'm not sure what you are expecting, but money back won't be happening, and they aren't in breach of any technical standards.

I'd guess you have a popup blocker enabled - the help file loads in a separate pop-up browser window, rather than the main game window.
