Not a whinge or gripe, just a puzzlement! I joined V&J years back and have just been asked for ID to verify my account?

I submitted a withdrawal request last night (not my first request) and it is still in a pending state and can be reversed. Very unlike them, so just checked the status with their online chat only to be told that they are waiting for documents to verify my account!

There has been no correspondence from them to ask for docs and it is only by chance that I asked their online chat if any problems as they normally process withdrawals pretty quickly. It was so long back that my debit card had been replaced by a later one, but thankfully after sifting through my trash file I found a picture of my old card.

Comment over! Like I said, not an all out whinge, just a puzzlement why they left the withdrawal pending (possibly indefinitely?) without contacting me to advise of a problem.

Not saying it is the case here, but I have heard something in the lines of casinos not having to do a proper KYC before a player withdraws over 2500 euros.

I could be wrong on this, but thats what I have heard.

Yep, I have heard of places not verifying players until they withdraw more than £2k. Think I will have to check my account for this as I know I didn't manage a withdrawal in 2015 with them! I'm probably more disgruntled at lack of communication if they encountered an issue with my account. Nevermind, still a good outfit and am more than happy with them so far.

Well, I submitted docs yesterday. Unfortunately late last night the withdrawal was still pending (£200 from £40 deposit) and I hit the dreaded poxy 'cancel withdrawal' button with a view to playing with £50.

Tut tut, shocking behaviour given that I told myself never to do that.

On the plus side, I now have a £300 withdrawal as pending!!

I will give them a couple more hours then contact them to see if there are any other problems with my account which have not arisen in the last couple of years play!!

And KK, at least with VS they have easy document uploads and speedy turnaround on getting them approved!

edit: while typing this, I have just received an e-mail from V&J confirming receipt of docs and they have now passed them to the relevant department - another days waiting perhaps?

I had to get re-verified with them last year too. I can't remember but I think the process itself was quick enough and I don't think I got an e-mail either. I contacted live chat to verify that docs were received and after confirmation they processed my withdrawal quick enough. I am very happy overall with VeraJohn. Good selection of games, fast cashouts and they have a decent loyalty program IMO.:)

P.S. 9 times out of 10 I find contacting live support speeds up the process of KYC and pending withdrawals if it takes longer than usual.

Quick update. Withdrawal was still pending earlier, so back onto live chat. Firstly the agent says they are still waiting for copies of my cards, I reply saying I had a response to my e-mail confirming receipt of the documents so yes, they do have the images. She checks and confirms, then say they need copies of the rear of the cards. Fair enough, two attachments were removed as it exceeded the 10mb e-mail limit. I send in the copies and soon after, the same agent confirms receipt and can now see my withdrawal as being processed.

The good side: nice and friendly customer service agent/s and dealt with me promptly.

The bad side: lack of communication to advise of a problem or issues with my account, or at least contacting me to say they need some docs sent to them.

Still happy with them and a good outfit. But the question is, would I still be saying that if I had lost after reversing my first withdrawal?!?!?! Actually, I wouldn't blame them as I am responsible for that action, not them!! ;)

Delighted to see that you had a good outcome. Congrats on the win:thumbsup:

I was going to register with them and make a deposit but asked questions via the live support and was informed that they don't flush payments unless you deposit high amounts 15k or more a week, they take several days to verify ID, several days to process withdrawals and still the option to reverse. It made me tired just reading all the delays they kept listing one after another.

I'm getting a little sick of sites like this now to be honest, it's about time some sites had guarantees for verification to be checked within 60 minutes let say and the options to get this reversal option removed. Casino sites seems to be making it as difficult for new customers as possible, it's nothing for hassle, stress and negativity these companies need to figure out new ways to make things easier - If UK banks and energy companies can do it so can these companies.

You seem to have staff sat there waiting to respond to live chat requests, get them bloody working checking documents etc, not just sat around waiting for requests and watching users lose/win on games.
