Tried to access my Unibet account tonight only to find it locked. When onto live support to be told that since the merger with Stan James and the fact that i had a self exclusion request there in 2015, my account will be locked until 2020. I also asked if this would affect my Maria Casino account and he said that it would also be locked. Just a heads up to others to check status of accounts before depositing because i can still log into Mario casino but don't know if i would have had trouble depositing or withdrawing from there.

Unibet is reviewed at Casinomeister. It is an CM Accredited, vetted, and highly recommend casino listed at our site.
I asked if, apart from the transfer of personal details, withdrawals would still function the same now that Unibet owns Stan James.

The very helpful answer I received was that my log in details would be the same

Needless to say, I shan't be taking the plunge with Unibet as I cannot be arsed to re-verify for no reason, especially with all this SoW BS doing the rounds too

I'm not sure, but I don't think they are allowed to transfer any of those details.

I would actually be more furious if anyone could buy my documents. That wouldn't be very secure if you think a bout it.

Here is a butchered transcript I dug out from the depths of my junk folder. It was about the verification thing. Names have been altered to protect their identity: :p

Dear So-and-so,
Thank you for your recent email.
No, you won't need to do that, your account will just be transferred over with all the same log in details.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,

Person

This would lead me to believe I needn't worry about any verification lark. I'm not going to bother finding out though....I think we all know what would happen come cash-out time

I had a SJ account as well as an old Unibet account that I havent used for years. Tried to login to Unibet using SJ details and account is locked  Tried to login using old Unibet details and that account locked too. Emailed support to ask what's happening and have had no response for 3 days. They obviously don't need existing customers. Think I will give them a miss in future.

So this the Kindred group, apparently at last count they own: 32Red, Bingo.com, Bohemia Casino, Casinohuone, iGame, Kolikopelit, Maria, Roxy Palace, Storspiller, VladCaasino, Unibet and now Stan James. Is there no end to their megalomania

I had no idea they also own 32red. I guess they also own all 32red plc casinos or do they? These include Dash, Goldenlounge, Nedbet and a few others not mentioned above....

I'm bloody confused myself

I should think every subsidiary of 32Red just falls under their ownership too. Maybe Nedbet etc will cease to be entirely. Who knows

Total f*** up of mega proportions. I played fairly regularly at Stan James Casino, couldn't log in to Unibet. Again, 3 days for email response then email today saying fixed - No, having to use Unibet Casino username (never played there really) and apparently 50 free spins on Twin Spin Deluxe I've heard a lot of players received for migration denied by Live Chat and zero offers under bonuses. Can't see me returning in a hurry tbh. Poor show Unibet

You probably have some spins on the Asgardian Stone's wheel at least

They just recently announced they are closing 4 of their brands - we will only be left with 32Red & Roxy Palace.

I played mostly with stan james and also had a account with unibet that i have never deposited with.

I logged into unibet yesterday using my unibet log in details as my stanjames one would not work and was given 50 spins on twin spin deluxe spin value 50p.

I was hoping to test the withdrawl to see if i would still be verified but i only won 17 pound and promptly lost it all.

Might try a deposit to see what happens as i still have the 100 percent deposit bonus to try.

Yeah, I'd been wondering the same thing in regards to withdrawing. I'd like to hope so, but I wouldn't bet on it, so to speak

The decision is final on my account :)

Permanently self excluded from Unibet because I self excluded myself from Stan James, when they had nothing to do with Stan James YEEEARS ago.

Oh well :) That's three casinos down... Never really played at these sites anyway, free spins saviours.

it's easier for them to make it final, than to look for a fix for something as complicated. Had they not, you could have probably messed with them if you wanted to. I'm sure they took a look at your ltv before making their decision. Just because all Casinos say they value all their customers, doesn't mean any of them do.

I haven't bothered to check if my account there is still active, haven't logged into the site since 2015

I refused to play with Unibet because they refused my ID, I totally understand that they want photo ID and now that I have it... This happens :) I made a deposit on Maria, Unibet and Bingo.com then I gave up after the ID situation.

But Stan James had nothing to do with Unibet (Unless Unibet has been Stan James all along ?) To me, they were totally different sites ??

I do remember Unibet stamping their logo on Stan James a year or so ago. I asked for my account to be reopened after the Unibet takeover and they refused it... So I asked if my Unibet account would be closed and they said they're the same company but each site runs differently and that my Unibet account would remain open........ Yeah ?

Very unfair if you don't ask me :) But if they don't want me, who cares ?? There's thousands of casinos !! They just couldn't see past the self exclusion, that wasn't connected to Unibet in any way.. And let me become a depositing player (With fresh ID of course)

The reason Unibet bought Stanjames was that Unibet wasn't happy with their UK share, and felt that the Unibet brand was too swedish for the UK players to prefer their Casinos so the management felt buying a british online casino that wasn't doing so well will get them these UK players, as will 32Red.
Anybody could play the same stuff at Unibet but Unibet has a brand name to follow and the UK team couldn't do whatever they wanted to without approval, whereas with Stanjames and 32Red they can do anything they want, as it doesn't affect the good name of Unibet. I wouldn't be surprised if in the end, they close down Stanjames and 32red and transfer you all over to the mothership, aka Unibet

I don't think anyone's in a hurry to jump onto their brand after they way in which they discarded UK players as lepers. They have bought UK player databases but they can't buy loyalty.
If anything, their incorporating Stan James & 32Red into the hive puts me off them even further. They've left UK players less choice.....and 32Red will be a puppet, simply for their brand name.....

32Red too ?! Cheesus !! They've just offered me a whopping 400% as a welcome bonus !! I was seriously going to consider...

I signed up years ago and never bothered.. Gut feeling ?? :)

Glad I've seen this, thanks.

I cant understand how they do business. I mean i would think that they would atleast leave dash open because it mostly has uk customers if they want to raise their uk player database. Migrating the customers to unibet seems atleast like a very bold move, because for some reason when people trust a brand, then they play there, but if the player database is moved to a whole different place, then people might stop playing. They should have just bought these companies and left the websites open. If someone can link me to a post where it says they will close dash, goldenlounge and a few others, i would really appreciate it.

They aren't moving Dash players to Unibet.

"All Dash, Golden Lounge, Nedplay and Splendido players will be migrated to 32Red or Roxy Palace".

They see the future of this industry as the big brands buying out the smaller ones, until there are 4-5 big brands left. After a failed merger with someone around 5 years ago, they decided not to merge but to become one of these big brands which is why they've been buying so many brands, including some in Australia
