Cool idea! I have a site where I sell a gambling book. I accept credit cards through google checkout. It is just like paypal, only free until 2008 and then it is still much cheaper after that. Check it out.

Cheers

Joe

Oh you are from Austin, my sister lives there. She doesn't gamble so I don't know...are there casinos there?

That reminded me (in a wierd way) of this 'system' a guy was selling. I think it amounted to a simple skim money management strategy but the cool thing was this little locked wallet sized box that you are supposed to put the percentage in... the thing is you are to leave the key to it at home so you can't dip into it when you are at the casino.

Here's the product

it's only $20...

That's

what husbands are for!!!!!

LMAO....really, that is a great idea! Remember the Senfeld episode when Kramer got that job as a fill in at award shows? Pretty funny

Thanks Simmo! When I go to the local casinos and use the seat saver the other players stop by and always say how cute an idea it is. Just from them seeing it in use I have sold quite a few in the online store. The main reason for making them was for the player but how to get it to them in mass...that's always the problem. So then I thought about the crap that the casinos give out when a person signs up for a players card. Who really wants a plastic fanny pack these days?? So I am now promoting it to the casinos to give away as a promotional item and we're getting alot of positive feedback. I hope everyone that reads this thread goes to the website and buys one for their next trip to the casino. I have had a few people get them for Christmas gifts for their gambling friends. They are certainly NOT expensive as you will see, the cost of a few spins on the penny slots!

Sorry, I didn't realize it was your product when I posted about the slot bank earlier.

Have you seen BingoT's thread in wildcards? He sets up a booth at fairs for casino runs, I bet he could move some of thse nifty place holders for you :)

Most don't mind because you are using it just for short trips to go to the bathroom or to cash in tickets. I have given them out to about 5 people that go to the casino several times a week at various casinos and there has never been a problem. I am sure that some people may abuse it but so far so good. It has even been used in Vegas by seveal groups and it has always worked great. The casino staff has been happy to see them because they spend so much time watching machines for customers, they said it would free up alot of their time.

If someone wants to sit there, no matter if someone or something is watching the seat, there's no way the casino will stop them. Revenue is revenue.
But, thanks for answering, and I hope you do well in your businesses.:)

Thank you for the feed back. There is one Racino in town that does not allow saving seats for any reason. But that is because it is very small and has very few slots. Their policy is that you cannot tip a chair etc to save your seat. But in the bigger casinos it doesn't become an issue for the casino. Yes I suppose if someone complained...but that has never happened in the last seven months of testing them. Yes it is all about revenue but gamblers are generally a respectful bunch and so far the casino has been happy to see them around.

That's okay lojo, and thanks for your tip on BingoT's thread. I asked him to take a look at my website. I am not ready to do tradeshows yet as the business just launched last week. So maybe this is a good alternative. Thanks for the heads up!!

Just out of curiousity, how does the b&m casino feel about a slot machine not making any revenue while the seat is being saved with a seat cover? Does the casino give permission?
I will check this out as well with Foxwoods & The Mohegan Sun and I will post my findings.I think it would be a great idea.

That would be great! I didn't mention it before but a casino in Tulsa, OK has looked at the Watch My Seat seat saver and LOVED them enough to put in an order for 10,000 for their new casino and 2500 for their existing one in October. That shows that the casinos really do want their players to have the option to save their seat. If it makes their customer more comfortable then....why not?

I just got off the phone with both casinos and they said it would be a great idea But they told me it would not save the seat at a slot and anyone can walk up to it and take it.
They told me once you leave that spot anyone can clam it because no one is playing it.And the person next to it can't save it for you as well.
It must be in the play mode.
It's only common Couricity that people tell people that the person will be back.
I told them I will start to watch the slots now lol if someone leaves and leaves $1000.00 bucks in it I'm going to clam it and run lol
I would never do that I'm not that dishonest.
But your idea is a great Novity idea to use.
I would like some of them to show to people at the show.

Again, of course anyone can come up and take any machine saved or not. I would never advocate leaving your seat with money in the machine. Maybe it's different in this part of the country, but generally players are nice, fun people and everyone is there to have a good time. The casino employees love the seat saver and I think before you pass judgement use it and then tell me your experiance with it. The special price runs through September 30, and even after that it won't ruin your budget to spend the extra $1.00. I hope out of curiosity some of you will order one. I know personally that I go to the casino at least twice a week and because I have used it for so long I would feel lost without it. It gives you a sense of freedom to not have to run to the bathroom or to cash out your ticket.

You are a laugh riot tennis balls! To answer your question, the seat savers are made from microfiber cloth. They are 8X8 squares and are dense, soft, machine washable and wrinkle free. It is the same kind of cloth that you would use to clean your eyeglasses. Actually that is where I got the idea to use that cloth. It is heavy enough, feels good and prints very crisp and clean. It is digitally printed so it looks like a photograph. I am lucky enough to have my son and son-in-law as graphic artists so each design is an original piece of art. I would welcome the sale and love a photo of it on cynthial's back!

I do doubt that any casino would make it floor policy to require the saved seat, but that doesn't make the product any less valuable. I for one, get pissed when someone has leaned a chair up against a machine I want to play and simply sit down and play if I choose. Also I will just take a club card out of the slot and place it on top of the machine. I may play a machine next to a 'save my seat' for maybe three minutes and if someone isn't back by then, simply place the the item on top of the machine and have my go.

It is a good idea, the product, but it will have limitations and each floor manager will have to decide how it fits with their casino policy.
Many casinos have a one machine per person policy, but when it isn't crowded they don't mind in the least if you pump your bucks into more than one machine at once.

I think the 'seat saver' is a nice bridge between the rudeness of people leaning chairs and leaving club cards in the machine, and a-holes like me who don't care...you snooze you lose. I would wait a couple of minutes for a seat saved with this product, but only a couple unless it was casino policy:)

hey, what did the second string footballer say when the coach asked where he wanted to play?

i'll be right back.

That's the whole point, it's designed for being gone from your machine for just a few minutes. We have all been there, the machine is hot, you gotta pee. Come on most players will help you out and watch your seat for a few, this just helps out in a cute way. I guess I would say it is makes people smile. All I can say is try it out and tell me how it works in your part of the country. It has worked great everywhere we have tried it.
