Captain Cooks group in trouble?

I am happy to report that I have been paid as well.

Thanks very much Bryan, JetSet, and others for helping to get this resolved!

Wow, this is great. I am so glad to see everyone here so far getting their money. Most excellent.

Thanks Meister and Jetset

I am also. Does anyone know if Casino Rewards is making a committment to make whole all the players including those extorted into forfitting their bonus and winnings - even those who don't PAB?

i have my money back in my accounts, and am now clearing the bonuses (though so far, should have just accepted the deposit back in captaincooks-lost all 189 (100 deposit) on $3 bets). looks promising that they are treating us right now though. thanks so much for taking care of us casinomeister and company.

I'm still not satisfied...I am waiting for a response from Integrity before I PAB but this is what I got today even though I have only gotten my deposit back from Crooks and not my bonus/winnings (I had withdraw all my money and they reversed it and locked my account). :(

Never mind those that were extorted or didn't PAB. I never recieved the "drop your bonus" e-mail and certainly never agreed to that, my account was never locked as far as I know, and I send in my PAB about 2 weeks ago. (See my post in this thread)

Today I got back my deposit only, shorting me well over 300 in bonus+winnings+comp points.

What else should I do?

Although it's still early days to be too optimistic, it's certainly a relief to see solutions now coming through, and we're still communicating with CR and its owner on the other questions. Sorting this mess out must be soaking up a lot of time and staff resources but I still believe CR should take the time to issue a communique clarifying this and we have recommended that course to them. It could actually work for them as well as the players.

It would be appreciated if those who still have problems and have not yet submitted a PAB would do so as it helps to keep independent track. And those who have been paid please post also for the same reason.

Lehammy, your's is a case that looks as if it requires some review. The 'Meister will probably do this through the PAB system when he returns from Amsterdam next week. In the meantime I've flagged it for him.

What would be an excellent exercise would for one or two players with relatively small cashouts, and so who can wait, to NOT file complaints with Bryan. Just work with Casino Rewards as a kind of "undercover agent", to see how they respond to people who they believe are NOT aware of the channels.

That'll tell us precisely whether or not CR intend to pay only the 10% or so who field complaints and hang on to the other 90%. If they refuse, post about it and THEN complain to Bryan.

That would be a very worthwhile exercise.

would be interesting to see what would happen if someone "played dumb". I (see earlier post) only received my deposit back from crook's so far. All of my e-mails either got a BS response ("we are forwarding this to the trash") or just went unanswered. I finally wrote them telling them I was unhappy and aware of the shady business that was going on. I got this in response:

Hello you handsome devil you (okay, I added that but the rest is theirs),

Thanks for your email :)

I've now manually adjusted your account so that your winnings will be
paid to you. As you are aware on April 6th GBP100 was paid to you, and
I've now added a withdrawal of GBP172 to your account so that the
balance can be paid.

This amount will be sent via NETeller with our next outgoing batch of
refunds.
Thank you for your patience and understanding you handsome devil you(okay, last time) - it's much
appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Louise

My last withdrawal was not in GBP (as my account was in dollars). I wrote them back to make sure they were aware of this.

I send them a terse note yesterday saying that they still owe me 320, and today I got a response acknowledging that fact:

Hello lehammy,

Thanks for your email :)

I've now manually adjusted your account so that your winnings will be paid to you. As you are aware on April 6th GBP60 was paid to you, and I've now added a withdrawal of GBP320.00 to your account so that the balance can be paid.

This amount will be sent via NETeller with our next outgoing batch of refunds.

Thank you for your patience and understanding Imelda - it's much appreciated.

Looks like the same letter Stinkbug got, so let's see where this gets me.

Hey, take double the money and run (you handsome devil, you).

Just kidding (on both counts). :D

I also recieved my cashouts.

I also recieved my cashouts. Thank you Bryan, JetSet, and others for your hard work in sorting out this mess.

After getting my withdrawal, I went ahead and redeemed my loyalty points for GBP10.00. I looked around for a while and could find no mention of a playthrough requirement (and they were in the main account) so I tried to cash out. Minimum cashout=GBP40. Damn. I wasn't about to deposit 30 more to get that 10, so I figured I'd run it up to 40 or bust. Got it there in 8 hands. Withdrawal pending. Take that Cooks! :D

Today I received the last of my payments from Captain Cooks and Casino Classic. This includes my $238 profit.

Thank you Bryan, Jetset and everyone else who played a role in getting this resolved. Your efforts are appreciated more than you could possibly know.

I would also like to commend the Casino Rewards Group for the way they handled this matter once they became officially involved. Their expeditious hands on efforts are to be applauded. I am very impressed. I fully retract any previous harsh words that might have implied that Casino Rewards was implicit in this from the beginning. I was wrong. My frustration and suspicions toward the Integrity Group should in no way taint Casino Rewards.

I'm glad I found this site. The CasinoMeister and the posters here get things done. You are a valuable asset to the community.

Good luck to all, and thanks again to everyone.

Somehow I still feel like this was the plan of ICL the entire time. Since there were a lot of "New" players coming from some of the forums (mostly the zoo...you know who you are), I think this was their way of leaving a bad taste in their mouthes so as to scare them off. As a result, Casino on Net (I'm not using Sports InterAction anymore - they don't check for blackjack) and intercasino will get all of my business. Again, though, thanks Brian!

All through these problems that have been posted about these 3 casino's, I have always been paid. I have won more than I lost, not a big amount, but I did get paid and always within 3 days. So I don't know if its just because I don't deal with big cashouts.

The new T&C have taken effect on or around wednesday the 16th of march 2005 if i am correct. Anyway, this GBP issue should not be hard to solve. If necessary i will query one of the message boards for someone will have a copy.

I'm going back a bit here with this quote but this was also when they changed the terms to not allow GBP deposits for non-UK residents. They had just started sending out the 'audit' emails at the time. As far I am aware, only Casino Rewards casinos have this rule about currencies so maybe they were more involved with the casinos in the time leading up to the 'audit' than they want to admit.

What seems obvious is that the Integrity group was in a desperate fiinancial situation. Although they opened up a new casino, I also remember a similar thing with Vegas Strip Group (RTG) soon after they opened up Cleopatra's casino many years ago.

I am still waiting to get a withdrawal from my Captain Cooks Poker account. I hope it goes through in the next day or two, or I'll became really peeved off for the first time, considering the casino people have been paid.

I just don't get their thinking to punish their poker players for the problems they had in their casinos. I didn't autoplay my poker hands or anything. This has been a real eye opener for me, and I will choose my poker sites more carefully. Probably avoiding those that have casinos or sportsbooks in the future.

EDIT UPDATE: A few hours after writing this I was paid. Thanks everyone for your help.

After meeting with some of the people working behind the scenes of the ICL - Casino Rewards escapades, I'm more in tune of exactly what went on. There were some not so good management decisions that simply escalated into one hell of a mess.

My suspicions of scandalous weirdo background activities were pretty much squelched after getting the real story on what had happened. There were a few things that were majorly unclear. Communications via the Internet can get pretty foggy when dealing with so many people - especially when some of these people are in time zones 10 hours from yours. This is why I prefer face-to-face meetings to get the real story.

I'm really glad the smoke is clearing on this issue - it's a real shame all of this had to happen.

And I'm just beginning to weed through the PABs - hopefully most of these are comments that everything has been resolved. :D
