I play 20c bets most of the time, for entertainment. I've had huge wins related to the stake but also lost it all back and then some.

There is no such thing as a professional career playing slots. When you're going to bet €20 a pop you might get lucky but it's either going to cost you alot in advance or you'll give it back. If you were only in it for the profit you should've indeed taken the 65k and ran. Hindsight 20/20 and all that.

I've posted before so hardly any sort of secret; I've managed more than less, to pay my bills playing slots.
Being patient, playing smart, checking games, reading reviews.

But being SMART about game choices, bet sizes, volalitity, balance and bankroll management doesnt make me a career nor professinoal player..merely, a BETTER player.

Ive no control, whatsoever, over randomness and luck.

House WILL always, forever and a day, have edge...and ultimately, clean me and anyone out, if you dont walk away when (imaginary) Lady Luck smiles :) I can, at best, hope to make my lessened edge a little less rough :p

Sure, I've been able to buy some stuff from my winnings (even on 20c!) which I otherwise had to save another month or 2 for.

I have strict weekly limits in place which keep me in check because I did go near the out-of-hand-limit last year and don't want to go through that again.

I used to have a pretty costly hobby before: remote control cars. The money I sunk into those compared to what I'm actually losing on slots is quite the difference. But I could afford it and it was fun. Sadly I wasn't able to go out and drive them that much anymore, I didn't have to sell them (you barely get 25% of the value back anyway) but I did because it would be a waste if they'd just sit there on a shelf instead of being driven by another enthusiast.

The best way on how to play slots, I found for my self is to stop playing any slots (for a couple of weeks at least) after winning something big. I don't know how it is with others, but for me after the big win follow big loses. So, to avoid this happening I stop playing and then come back and try my luck again.
Also, I try to avoid playing at casinos where my new gaming session (on my favourite game) starts from the same point that I have left. Superstition? Maybe! :D But if possible, I prefer to start a fresh game from the scratch.

To be fair to bloat, I can relate to what he is saying. You seem to be saying similar too.

My luck seems to come as one streak over a few days then bam, after a massive hit the games play worse than ever. Complete dog shit. We're not even talking average gameplay either, we're talking dire.

Same pattern, rinse and repeat. Once you've eventually lost what you've won (and perhaps more) they loosen up again. This could be 1-2 months down the line.

So many people witness the same thing yet everyone who mentions it is somehow a conspiracy nutjob

Anyway, not that it really matters...it is what it is and we play for that entertainment and the chance of that whopper ;)

I never used to buy anything when I won, which was a mistake because all you did when you won was, over time, sink it back in. Now I try and get something tangible; 5 day air b n b break, stuff for my photography etc.

There has been a general weariness with my slotting over the last 12 months and there will come a day where I just jack it in but one thing that’s good and keeps me playing is where you’ve done your monthly budgets, hit a decent amount and are now able to buy that thing a few months earlier than you’d planned or go on two trips, not one etc.

I'm pretty sure most of people who play slots share opinion that after you win big, you tempt to lose. Can have something to do with fact that big wins are quite rarely happening and if you keep on playing, most common outcome is that you lose your winnings back, dunno does there have to be anything dodgy?

My uncle won once big in lottery and never ever after that one time, bit suspicious how he started not to win anything after getting millions once.

Pretty similar here too!

I remember, over the time of my gambling journey, there were countless of times when after those big wins all my fav games go dead and on next couple of days I pump all the winnings back plus everything that is available on my bank account too.

Of course not straight away, but after some time I realised that this is like some kind of regularity that follows me and happens all the time.

Looking at my life from the side I started to think about how to change it and what to do, and then I came to the conclusion that the best way to improve it is to stop gambling after there are a few good cashouts sitting in my bank, and ALWAYS BUY SOMETHING DECENT USING AT LEAST A PART OF THAT MONEY.

Still working fine! :) [knocking on the wood three times]

PM @maxd (oft-times Bryan but he's busy of late) and I'm fairly sure they can meet your request
He'll be back in a day or two full of joy after hitting a progressive or getting a monster win and it will all be smiles again. Just a severe bout of gambling pessimism, I know the feeling as my year has been one big, predictable conspiracy. I have been going on about it in my YT videos to the poor sods prepared to listen. :D

If you don't have deposit limits on already and you have a big cashout just set one, even if it's just for a week, because it's usually in the days after the winnings have landed on your bankaccount or other wallet that you tend to deposit more.

Mistakes were made, deposit limits were set :p

That's golden advice too! Here in the UK, there is no option to send the money back to the player's account anymore. It definitely nice and I guess it saved quite a bit of money for some players.

I hate it when casinos scam me by letting me win 5-10 times my initial deposit, then force me to play it all away again.
