Sadly, this is how eCogra operate, and believe me they DO get some stick for it. IF T & C state something, and the casino act within the terms, eCogra will find in favour of the casino. In this case, the casino pulled the promotion early. What they mean by "the early bird gets the first worm" is that you, the player, should give the casino no quarter. You should have withdrawn funds, and then redeemed further points while still at your girlfriends house, and played them back home.

This is probably a pointless exercise in any case, if you had done this, the casino would have voided your winnings anyway.

The fact that a term is unfair has no bearing on dispute handling, all that matters is that the casino acted within its own terms. Since the casino get to make up the terms, the casino are always at an advantage.
Because of the way this works, casinos often find that players consider gaming online as a war of wit, rather than entertainment. A "B & M" casino is short for "Bricks and Mortar", a real physical casino that you go to in person.

Had Big Dollar NOT had an early cancellation get out, no doubt eCogra would have found they had breached their own terms. This would not help, as all they would then do is use the "software malfunction" general term to wriggle out of it.

Every now and then, players DO get the upper hand over the casino, and had this promotion not appeared all over the internet forums, it is likely that a few players would have made a packet.
I have not played at Big Dollar, as they seem to still exclude the Brits from promotions. If they want our custom now they have lost the US, they had better treat us like normal players.
I will stsay forewarned, if the other Grand Prive casinos offer a promotion that looks similarly generous, I will ensure the option to screw me over does not become available to them; ie - I will redeem as & when, not save them up so they can pull the plug early.
 
is it worth posting anywhere else? or am i basically screwed? They screwed themselves. I crunched some numbers and, over the years, between Big Dollar and Miami Beach, they have me upside down for over 220k. but, the early bird gets the worm. and the idiot buries their head in the sand....

You did not redeem your rewards.
The General Terms and Conditions of the promotion state that BIG DOLLAR CASINO reserves the right to discontinue or cancel any promotion as and when management deems it appropriate.
Bearing the above in mind, I must inform you that I find your dispute to be invalid.
Ok, I want to understand something here. I tried to read through all the posts and believe the issue here is that Big Dollar did not stick to the promotion's terms while it was still active. I fully understand that eCOGRA states that was quoted above but that doesn't mean the casino has no obligation to stick to the rules of their own promotion, does it? I mean they can change it, stop it cancel it or what ever they please, but they have to pay up to the point they change or stop the promotion. Whether or not you redeemed or not is of null value. The casino still has to pay. I believe that eCOGRA missed this point or am I missing the point?:what:

I guess ideally this is what the casino wants, to make people like me go away. My only solution now being I will never deposit with the entire Grand Prive group again. Yes I know they say the support is only linked with Big Dollar, but it seems a little odd how they can share the same support program and not be associated. Thank you all for your comments...I appreciate all of your help. I feel now there is no other option, I hate giving up but can find no answers.

I am certain they share rather more than support! I suspect Big Dollar is not a part of Grand Prive, just as Aspinalls is not actually a part of Vegas Partner lounge. Corporate Confusion for the masses. This got rumbled a while back when a Big Dollar player was thanked for "playing at Grand Prive" - that was their undoing. It looked like personal details were shared between Big Dollar group and Grand Prive group. If it was just the same support centre, they would be duty bound to keep personal details ringfenced within each brand they provided a support service for.

I DO hope they share that incompetent fool who designed that promotion though, I'll just lie in wait:D

I am afraid we all may literally be "lieing" by the time that happens!
I have just completely lost faith in any reputable casino these days. I really thought these guys were great.

Have you not been contacted by their manager? He told me that he was going to contact you on Monday.

There is no reason IMO why your issue should not have been dealt with swiftly. I told you that I forwarded your info to eCOGRA, but you also need to contact them yourself as well. They will not initiate any procedures unless you contact them personally.

Please do this now.
 
Do you mean the manager Tony from Big Dollar, if yes then he has not contacted me. His last email was the condescending one from last week telling me I should have known better.
I did submit my information after you to eCogra last week. I just sent another email to them and they were under the impression you were following up with them. They are checking into this now and said they will get back to me soon. ????????

I have done everything I was supposed to do and haven't had eCogra or Big Dollar contact me! I even sent Tex a quick note yesterday for an update and still no response.

I received this email from Big Dollar today, this is it! He told me he has emailed me twice this week, however this is the only one I have as of now.

dealt with via ecogra and casinomeister. The casino took the decision that cashins that fell into the
category subject to the Errors and Omissions term could not be paid.

We did not take this decision lightly - we spent quite some time discussing this with eCogra from the time
it happened to the end of this previous week. Your cashins for $60 and $1504 have fallen into the
above category and as such, were not paid and cannot be paid.
 
no, the 220k is the amount i LOST over the years.

I have an update. despite Tex Reese and his "e-cogra" BS, i went to casinomeister and asked that he intervene. He did. All that I asked for he got me. All that I asked for from e-cogra, was a crock of nothing.

I am not a regular here, but I will say this, the "meister" is the man...

Somehow I would like to thank him....

I recieved the exactly same mail from big dollar...same words used. Also I recieved an answer from ecogra / Tex that they are checking this. Now my question: one of ecogras rules is not to post at any forum about the dispute..hopefully we havent broken that rule by posting here?
