100 points was equal to $50 of bonus money.
that is a fairly obvious error, andi. When the error is that obvious, you usually don't get to keep the money. if my bank made an error and added $500 to my account, I wouldn't expect to be able to keep it.
still, they did mess up their promotion so they should throw you a few bones.

Seaman63 - I just received this today after sending out a reminder last night.
tennis_balls - This causes me to think that at any casino, I should question everything. If I am on a roll somewhere and winning then perhaps I should question the payout structure being too high and the reels set too loose?
Perhaps I may not be able to claim these winnings. The point is they messed up their promotion, no matter whose fault the flaw was they need to take responsibility for their actions, which they are not.
Also, please note even though it was free bonus money the playthrough was incredibly high. The casino had themselves covered with the playthrough requirement, which unfortunately for them I cleared (and checked with support at the time). Please consider this has been a roller coaster ride of telling me yes and no and yes I will receive my cashout. I understand what you are saying, maybe if it was your situation you may feel a little more adamant about it.

Big Dollar could have done themselves a great service here by paying out and showing that their players are important to them - instead they have created an atmosphere of mistrust and have certainly caused me to put a big red cross next to them on my list.
i'm not sure they could afford to take the hit on this one. it was an effup of monumental proportion. I saw one player at a forum that "won" over $100k from this. some players grabbed the reigns and freerolled like mofos with all these free bonus dollars.
I agree that Big Dollar has really dropped the ball in regards to providing a clearer explanation as to what went down. Once word of this promo hit the bonus-hustler forums, this thing surely took on a life of its own.
Had I known about this promo, I probably would have taken a shot as well, but I would have done so knowing that there was a good possiblility the water could get murky.
And I have seen things of this nature occur at a B&M casino and the player doesn't always necessarily get to keep the winnings.

is it worth posting anywhere else? or am i basically screwed? They screwed themselves. I crunched some numbers and, over the years, between Big Dollar and Miami Beach, they have me upside down for over 220k. but, the early bird gets the worm. and the idiot buries their head in the sand....

Ok, I want to understand something here. I tried to read through all the posts and believe the issue here is that Big Dollar did not stick to the promotion's terms while it was still active. I fully understand that eCOGRA states that was quoted above but that doesn't mean the casino has no obligation to stick to the rules of their own promotion, does it? I mean they can change it, stop it cancel it or what ever they please, but they have to pay up to the point they change or stop the promotion. Whether or not you redeemed or not is of null value. The casino still has to pay. I believe that eCOGRA missed this point or am I missing the point?You did not redeem your rewards.
The General Terms and Conditions of the promotion state that BIG DOLLAR CASINO reserves the right to discontinue or cancel any promotion as and when management deems it appropriate.
Bearing the above in mind, I must inform you that I find your dispute to be invalid.

This has been going on for me since the first week of February, with still no results. No correspondance from eCogra as of yet, I am completely frustrated and fed up. I guess ideally this is what the casino wants, to make people like me go away. My only solution now being I will never deposit with the entire Grand Prive group again. Yes I know they say the support is only linked with Big Dollar, but it seems a little odd how they can share the same support program and not be associated. Thank you all for your comments...I appreciate all of your help. I feel now there is no other option, I hate giving up but can find no answers.

Have you not been contacted by their manager? He told me that he was going to contact you on Monday.
There is no reason IMO why your issue should not have been dealt with swiftly. I told you that I forwarded your info to eCOGRA, but you also need to contact them yourself as well. They will not initiate any procedures unless you contact them personally.
Please do this now.

I have done everything I was supposed to do and haven't had eCogra or Big Dollar contact me! I even sent Tex a quick note yesterday for an update and still no response.

I would just wait until you get something back from Tex. Post about other stuff in the meantime.I recieved the exactly same mail from big dollar...same words used. Also I recieved an answer from ecogra / Tex that they are checking this. Now my question: one of ecogras rules is not to post at any forum about the dispute..hopefully we havent broken that rule by posting here?
