Yes you read it right. Dont go near this casino. Although sources might tell you otherwise. Their roulette animations are easily the dumbest cover-up in the world. The ball goes round and suddenly appears into a number slot without being shown its falling in :eek2:

I dont care if people tell me they're Microgaming or whatever crap.

I won on their roulette wheel when I was wagering low and lost it all
when I started wagering high. I wagered upto 55$ on the roulette wheel per spin with a super high chance of winning! (PM me for an explanation) And yet they cleaned me up.

Till now I have found just one single online casino which is fair : Global Player

Should this post not be in the "Disasters While Drunk" thread? <sarcasm>

So you lost, therefore this casino and every other Microgaming one operates a "cover up"? Hmmm. Let me consider that for a moment.

In all seriousness, if you get this emotional over losing, you really ought to sit back and consider whether gambling online is the best thing for you shiv888.

Having played at Vegas Slendido myself I can tell you these guys are straight as an arrow, no problems at all here for me.

Sounds like you have just had a bad run...it happens...especially with roulette.

I rarely play roulette myself, but I agree that MGs roulette animations in terms of gameplay are not as good as their other games.
The clearest roulette table I have ever seen is at Casino-on-net, as soon as the ball spins you can watch its exact progress until it lands, without needing a magnifying glass to see the numbers!

That is what happens when you play a roulette system.

All MG casinos aren't bad. But this one sure is. And I have lost at other MG casinos whom I would still hold up as good. However, as is the case in this particular casino and only this, if you look at the way the ball lands in roulette there is no freakin logical explanation to it. Just dont brag without playing the casino's roulette game and then you will know what I am talking about

Damn! The trick is to jar the table when the ball is in rotation. The way to do this is to slap the right side of your monitor when the ball nears the number of your choice. This sounds weird but it works for me every time.

I've played it, and like you I don't really like it compared to other software. But that's no reason to suspect it's a cover-up. It's just a different graphical way of displaying the result of a random number. Your initial post just sounds like you are bitter at losing and looking for someone else to blame.

The latest game releases from Microgaming have European Roulette Gold which apparently has been extensively revamped, with particular attention to ball animation...that might improve matters.

Here's the press release announcing the changes - European Roulette Gold is in the first bit:

TRADITION, MYTH AND FAST SLOT ACTION
IN MICROGAMING RELEASES FOR MAY

Microgaming announces its latest launches for the month of May - four new games that cater for roulette, slot and video poker players.

The first is a totally new version of the company’s well established European Roulette Gold game, in which the latest technologies have been used to present an easy to use, smooth playing, traditional casino game. Billed as the best in the market, Microgaming developers conducted intensive player research in order to ensure the game achieved an ideal balance of sophisticated ambience with hi-tech efficiency and ease of use.

Outstanding graphics showcase the razor sharp quality and true colour reproduction of the walnut-rimmed table through to the wide choice of player controls and assists, and the game delivers fast and positive action and the feel of true quality.

Control buttons such as Call Bets, AutoPlay, Redo and Undo are sized and positioned for maximum convenience, together with zoom in snapshot windows to ensure that players remain in the picture and on the numbers.

Through the use of new wheel and ball animation technology, interactive chip selection, animated 3D chip action, precision graphics and crystal clear ambient sounds, this online game has an authentic feel, and the new ‘brass’ frame buttons plus the inclusion of a useful Bet Timer add to the quality and the realistic experience of the game.

Extending Microgaming’s selection of big, epic-themed games is the new video slot Avalon, which harks back to a bygone mythical age when chivalrous knights roamed the land rescuing damsels in distress. The five reel, 20 pay-line game features exquisite illustrations, with free spins, mystery multipliers, Scatter and two Wild opportunities and a Gamble feature where the intrepid can double or quadruple wins on the right selection of suit or colour. With up to 15 Free Spins (with the possibility of up to seven times multipliers) this is a game that ranks high in terms of excitement and opportunity.

The latest in Microgaming’s series of six 100 Play Power Poker VP games, the new Double Joker multi-hand video poker, offers new levels of excitement and action in this popular genre, on which thousands of players have found hours of solid entertainment and reward.

Up to 100 hands of video poker at a time can be played simultaneously with a wide choice of wagers. For the gambler with a good bankroll and a penchant for action this is the ideal game, and it comes on the features-rich Viper software platform with autoplay and a range of player assists.

Finally, Microgaming issues a major thrill warning with the launch of Twister, a five reel, 15 pay-line video slot that is set to blow players away. With Wild and Scatter symbols, a Free Spin bonus feature with spins within the free spins, together with a double-your-money gamble opportunity with a $10 000 ceiling, it’s easy to see why this one could have slots fans in a whirl.

This tornado of fun and thrills has a humorous airborne trailer park theme that has everything from pick-up trucks to outhouses up in the air and an amusing cast of characters populating the lines, all executed in bright, clear graphics and backed with easy to use player controls.

Twister will keep players on the edge of their seats, with hours of great entertainment and the possibility of substantial rewards – for example the top jackpot in the base game is a cool $75 000, and that can be lifted by the Twister to $150 000 with free spins.

Roger Raatgever, Microgaming CEO comments, “These latest releases further reinforce our commitment to providing players with the best gaming experiences, in the widest number of categories. We are committed to continually improving our existing games, as well as creating totally new gaming experiences and as a result, we’re sure players will respond to these and the rest of the games lined up as part of our busy release programme over the course of this year, extremely positively.”

The latest releases are part of an ambitious schedule of some 60 planned by Microgaming for 2006.

Fun you might make of me. But none of you care to go look at their animations. Just because you guys "endorse" this casino, I am not allowed to talk against it? I am not allowed to express my views? And whenever I say something serious about it, its going into holy shmokes air? You are gonna make casual fun of it without lookin at my valid point? Whoever said this was a casino watchdog forum. I am not postin here again

Goodbye Gracias

Come back!!! Please...come back!! :p

Dude! Lighten up! No one said you couldn't criticise anything - endorsed casino or not. I was making a funny ha ha joke.

It's not the images that matter - the images are an illusion, really. It's to make you "feel" like you are playing a game. The ball doesn't "drop" anywhere, Lara Croft doesn't really kick ass, and this little icon isn't really moving  -- it just appears to be.

As soon as you hit "spin" the random number generator generates the outcome. The graphics are only an enhancement of the game. Why play if you didn't have this?

So you think the graphics suck. Fine and dandy - then to you they suck. No need to slam a specific casino because of this.

Even if the roulette table looked like a 3yr had drawn it using MS Paint, the result would be the same. Why? Because the casino uses a random number generator. Hence your system or any roulette system will not determine the outcome.

Vegas Spendido is not rigged or fixed and the random number generator along with all MGS Casinos is independently audited. You hit a losing streak, deal with it. If you are unable to, perhaps you should seriously consider whether you should gamble online.

Well its been a bad morning and all I needed was a little humour and now I have found it. Thanks I feel great.
Did you slap the side of your screen?

If all MG casinos really just used a random number generator on roulette wheels, why would the numbers that come up always follow the laws of physics of a roulette wheel. The law of third cannot ever be disproven on a roulette wheel and the same is true with all online casino softwares.

Lets look at it this way : What are the chances of 13 spins showing more than one repetition of a number out of every 39 spins on a Random Number Generator? Not a 100% I believe? But on a real roulette wheel the chances are 100% and its never been disproven in billions of spins.

If every online roulette game just used RNGs why would it always follow the law above?

Random Roulette

A good reference is www.wizardofodds.com

In roulette (european single zero) the chance of any given number is 1 in 37, this means that the chance of the same number coming up again is also 1 in 37. The chance of a specific number coming twice in 2 consecutive spins is 1/37 x 1/37 = 1/1369. Thus in 39 spins it is likely that a number will repeat, but the chance of you choosing a number and hitting twice on 2 consecutive spins is only 1 in 1369.

The animation is the same on all MG casinos, but the performance is based on your PC, operating system, DirectX version and graphics card capabilities.
Even on a good PC, the animation leaves a little to be desired, but the Gold series is an attempt to address this.

I see no reason to specifically criticise Vegas Splendido, as any MG could give this result. There is a general impression that the MG RNG can deliver streaky results at times, you only have to play Blackjack and watch that bloddy "cheating" dealer get all those pushes and 21's against your own 20's. Equally I have seen the dealer in "fumble" mode, losing repeatedly with 10 up and Ace up to your stand on crappy 17's and 18's.
If you feel the casino has it in for you, try one of the other roulette games. It seems that if the RNG favours the dealer in one game, there will be a game where it favours the player. The problem is finding it, with over 150 to choose from.

Admin note

Removed Vegas Splendido from the title. No need to senselessly slam a damn good operation. I hate it when people do that.

Please PM me details of the Martingale system. Thanks. Whatever you do, don't post about it publically as I don't want the others to know about this famous advantage play system.

Oops. I've already said too much.

Till now I have found just one single online casino which is fair: Global Player

...until you up and lose, at which point Global Player will join the "I upped my bets, lost and so was cheated" group - which will eventually extend to all casinos you play at, terrestrial or online.

I have to say I've never heard of this, which I would have if it were really a general impression.

Microgaming blackjack is streaky because blackjack is streaky per se and nothing else. If it were programmed to behave "abnormally streakily" - or it simply happened so to be - it would be beatable. Clearly it is not, on either counts.

Gambling games are streaky - that's why people play them. If they simply churned out the house edge, win / lose / win / lose with the occasional extra loss but no up and down streaks, nobody would play because nobody would win.

Streaks built Vegas. They don't mean that Microgaming is cheating.

Rigged, rigged, fixed, fixed, whatever....

I believe that company like Microgaming, don't want to screw up their reputation... because a few games.
They earn enough.

AND If you want to find something "evil" from roulette... here:
The numbers on a roulette table (1 to 36) sum is = ?

:icon_twis

;)

I don't wish to answer on behalf of the Casinomeister, but are you insinuating that the Microgaming Roulette is different at one casino from another!?.

I think, as he explained, it's unfair to slander a specific casino based on your (losing) experience on a game. Had they not paid you or not responded to your emails or whatever, it'd make sense. I totally get that you're a bit annoyed about losing at roulette, but you can't blame the casino - and you're starting to come across as a bit crackers!
