Question What slot features do you hate?

On Pyramid(NET-ENT) When you start a flurry of the wilds only to have the run ruined by symbols you didn't need for example have the wilds there and get kings but also 3 irritating jacks which ruin the combos/run. grrr! Didn't want ya jacks!!:mad: It stops the next 3 wilds appearing because too many symbols fall. The best combo is just symbols at the top row for ages then when on a big multiplier by all means have ACES or whatever to make my mega win!

i hate falling blocks games. PERIOD.

SERVES you right for messing with them. :what::rolleyes::cool:

Choosing A Bonus

Not sure if this has been covered (long thread!) but how about games where you get to choose your bonus (Eg: Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck II, Jurassic Park). For indecisive people like me, we would really love to have a 'random' button so the burden of choosing is not on us :)

And while we're ranting...

I detest the many variations of "fake-outs".

... Like in Koi Princess (Net|Ent). If I am paying double to "activate" the feature bet and you zoom out for the bonus fish to appear and then Princess-What's-Her-Face shrugs her shoulders like "I don't know where they are", I'm done. In fact, I haven't played since.

...Or like in "Girls With Guns II" (Microgaming). Getting to the bonus game is hard enough but when you get 2 scatters it takes freaking forever for all the reels to stop to reveal whether I've won (not likely). The saving grace here is, if I am running the game on software (not mobile/flash), all I have to do is flip back to the casino main screen to see if my balance went up. If it did, I got the bonus! If not, I flip back to the game and wait 30 seconds for the reels to tell me what I already know and start the next losing spin.

...Or where you have to "save up" your wilds as in the Untamed series (Microgaming). Don't you just love when all the reels have 3/4 "saved" wilds and all you need is 2-3 on the same spin to activate a major win? Luckily, I've had this happen before and the win is amazing. But usually, the wild reels fire up one at a time and take all hope of a big win with it. And then I don't play them again for a LONG time.

...Or in virtually any other game on "Auto Play" where you always seem to get 2 or 3 spins right towards the end of your Autoplay where you get 2/3 of the symbols for a bonus... or 1 symbol away from a huge payout. This is insulting to our intelligence. In fact, it is a complete back-fire. When a game does this I switch to a new game or quit, always.

I have the best story for a zero win bonus round. Was playing Willy Wonka in Vegas and finally got the bonus round. It paid zero and then Willy makes it worse by actually saying "YOU win NOTHING... NOthing.. You win nothing sir.. Good day sir!!!!!!.

That's was the best for a zero bonus. It made me want to punch him lol

OMG I would have actually laughed the first time I saw that. Amazing. The way the line is delivered is hilarious. Quality inclusion from the slot makers there :D

Pick Me

I hate the "Pick Me" bonus features the most and another user has also mentioned that when coming off a bonus game it says "Congratulations, you won £0.00" ...Especially when you've been waiting a while to trigger it !!

Certain slots that have glorified 'pick a box' rounds which always pay a pittance. I think scareface does it a lot where you always win around 6x your bet and it takes ages to play through it.

More grievances than features as such, but infuriating nonetheless:

- triggering a bonus round after lowering bet size on the very next spin

- the 'say hello to my liddle friend' bonus in Scarface. Goes on forever for so little reward

- any accumulator-ey bonus round where one does finally get a x15 multiplier only to find that the next spin is.....dead!

- games with long load times or even better, the un-skippable intro animation

- symbols that chug along after your PC is feeling the strain from a six- hour session and then fool you by changing mid- spin due to a graphical glitch

- obviously any 'pick me- feature, but especially the ones that consist of sterling prizes such as 1x, 2x and maybe up to 10x your bet. Waste of time. And while we're at it, 'randomness' does not seem to be at play when choosing certain prizes and always ending with the lowest one, especially after the 20th time in a row.

- any game where you need first, third and fifth reel scatters to trigger the bonus. I avoid them like the plague even if statistically they trigger as often. It's just visually taunting me!

- fixed multipliers during freespins are great and all, but only if able to re-trigger the bonus round.

- any rolling- reels feature. Why have them when you can have stickies and stacked wilds!

Koi Princess bonus-feature teases .. What is even the point of these? I can't express my hatred enough for the type of straight up bs this slot game does. Even thinking about it and writing it right now makes me furious.

Basically .. During any spin, the game may zoom out and fish would appear. If they do appear, you got the random bonus. However, it often zooms out.. spins for a while, then zooms back in. No fish come out, no feature, nothing. Just a tease that occurs very rarely (as does the bonus as well!) and makes you mad. Literally what is the point of this '' feature '' if it's not going to trigger?:mad::mad:

Similarly if you get 2 bonus symbols and a third lands just outside of the game area, a fish may appear and attempt to nudge the bonus symbol into the game. Except that it doesn't .. usually anyway. 9 times out of 10 it keeps nudging it back and forth only for nothing to happen at the end .. WHY?!:mad:. There are other games with features like this where a symbol may be nudged into the screen but in such games if the nudging happens, it WILL give you the bonus.. And if it's not gonna give it to you then nothing happens in the first place. The thing with Koi Princess is that the nudge feature doesn't even always happen, so when it does why does it still have to end up failing just to make you mad?

:machinegu And you're paying the bonus bet to try and get the features more  Bad, bad game indeed !!

I personally find NetEnt games to be very willing to push the "needle the player as much as possible" envelope to its limits. The 4 scatter trigger of doom being a particular annoyance, ESPECIALLY on the turd.

But this "bogus animation" stuff (like the bubble that looks like it's about to burst on Ruby Slippers before changing it's mind and floating off into the sky like a
right proper c*nt) - that shit really yanks my chain.

And I haven't even played Koi Princess yet. And after reading some of the comments on this thread, I don't think that even Jon's post above (nice one mate) is going to persuade me to try it.

Glad I am not alone, defo a fist mark in my screen moment

Hahaha yeah that one is a good addition to this thread.
You think you are gonna get another wild reel and then the little fekking bubble floats away out og your screen.

I have to say after playing hundreds of spins on the newer slot from netent (jimi hendrix , Guns N' Roses , Koi princess) only to see a coin win!!!

I'd rather have a BG on RR ....... At least there is the excitement and possibility to win huge :D

Something just came to mind.. This isn't really a bad feature per say but more like how it's triggered and how MG games seem to function sometimes. Well everyone knows how Wild Desire or Wildstorm trigger in Immortal Romance/Thunderstruck II. The reels spin .. and keep spinning, then music starts playing etc. Well what's really annoying is that I get often (and I doubt I'm alone) some delay when spinning MG games .. The reels keep spinning for a bit before stopping. So of course if I'm playing IR or TSII I always get that sliver of false hope every time the reels keep spinning .. Only to realize it indeed, did not trigger. I can't even remember the last time it DID actually trigger ..

"Scatters that only pay out if they are in a certain pay line..."
Because of that I have lost a lot of money already! Hate scatters!:mad::mad:

Most annoying is the Top Gun fucking planes which randomly are triggered during spins and shooting Wilds. You wait for the first plane to shot its one wild and then the pilot says its low on fuel heading back to base, waiting for another one to come and shoot another 2 random ones in places wherw you just know nothing will happen and then the third one comes and shoot s final random useless wild and in the end you waited like 5 minutes squizing your butt muscles to help them shoot and in the end you win fuck all.

I really hate the stop-reel feature. I hate when one or several reels in the slot are stopped and others are continuing to spin. I've got nothing good from this bonus, it only irritates me

I'll try to keep it not specific to any game, some of these have been mentioned before but...

1)free spins and features that pay exactly 0. Nothing like going 700 rounds to get spins/feature in a game where that's pretty much the only viable chance of winning significantly, only to get 20 spins of absolute ZERO.

2)pickme's where you always get with little to no exception, the shïttiest win possible

I'd also like for game information to be more detailed. What is the RTP, what is the probability of the maximum win, what is the probability of a feature etc. etc., is the game considered volatile or not

The worst has to be on NetEnt slots, not a feature as such but after the feature where it says "Congratulations you won 0 coins" after the worlds worst bonus round

nothing like kicking a man whens hes down :D

Totally agree on that one. It feels like it wants to confirm that you feel like you've been tricked and rub your face in it.

Been a while since i was here last time now...

Nice thread this.

My clear and obvious candidates for worst slots are relatively easy to come up with:
- Eye of the Kraken: More horrendous, crappy and time-wasting slot i haven't found, throughout my 348326734623 slot machine tryouts! And what's worse; you get "only" €240 @ €1.5 bet if you get a FS WILD! That's just awful, considering the symbols. And if that's not enough, the game itself is non-entertaining nor much appealing either. Probably on joint 1st place along with....
- JokerMillions (Ygg.): ...this game! I'd rather spend my money on Hall of Gods than this one. Getting them 5 jokers alone happens rarely, and when you do get them, you have to be betting quite big to win anything from it. The reels fall down in a jiffy. The payments are so much worse than even the not-so-good Sherlock-slot by Yggdrasil. Entertainment level = boring.
- All the "Tetris"-slots (as I call them): Gemix, Cool Jewels etc. They are simple money-stealers. WMS are king kong, along with Yggdrasil, when it comes to making entertaining and addictive-creating slots, but CJ... well... it's not the best, to put it that way. The same with Gemix... the big wins are as rare as 5-jokers in JokerMillions. The only positive thing in Gemix, is the 1st stage music, and that says it all, heh.

Ok, so I sound like a super-whiny fella' now, but yeah, those really ARE my WORST slots. At least the ones I can come up with straight away. There are more, but none I can think of right now.

Any NetEnt slots that are rather crappy, huh?

They copied these teasers fron these awful blueprint games wush upon jackpot, genie jackpots,jungle....etcetc.like the hole game is a copie of them. Thus fairy flying in and exploding or the genie looking out of his bottle just to get in again instead of giving bonus... when i first played them i liked them as i had some nice sessions and they were fun because of different features etc. ...but now they always let me bust in shortest time.
