Vegas Frontier and FortuneLounge Spam

mary said:
GM, that's not my real email address, but it's good to point that out if anybody else JOINS ME IN MY PAIN!

Three more this afternoon....

Let me emphasize some points:

*I am not complaining about real opt-in emailings. I get the casino's newsletter for their members and I'm ok with that.

*I have tried to unsubscribe via the provided links. It may or may not have had the effect of multiplying my torment. It certainly hasn't stopped it.

*I am forwarding them all to vpops@fortunelounge.com
I have yet to receive the courtesy of a reply to my email, but perhaps things are getting a bit flooded there.

*I've sent them to the spam@fortunelounge.com address as well. No replies from that address and of course it has had no effect.

*This has been going on in increasing severity for several months. Fortune lounge representatives have made statements in several fora that this problem would be fixed. This clearly has not happened.
mary just do like me i dont unsubscibe i just delete them ,,after 2 or 3 they stopped totally

I asked the VPOPS to get me off the mailing lists. It took about a month and I was free of this spam for two weeks, but it started again today.

Just jumping in here on a Sunday.

Posting complaints in forums is fine and dandy, but I can't use this. I NEED your complaint via email. No, I don't want you to forward me 100s of spam mails - I just want you to tell me the email address that is being spammed, and if you have success "unsubscribing" to the spam.

Four days ago, I asked people to complain directly to me. Only one person has done this so far, so why shouldn't I feel that this is being blown out of proportion? This is why it is important to make direct contact. Posting in forums don't cut it.

I guess I can count Spear, Mary, Dominique, paul02085, and erp1's, but no one has given me the information that I need.

I need:
1. Email address that is being spammed
2. Have you unsubscribed? Yes or no.
3. Do you still receive them after being "unsuscribed"? Yes or no.

And please don't bs me on the unsubscription. Thanks!

Bryan,

1. mesuzecat@aol.com

2. yes I clicked the links provided to unsubscribe and they either did not work (404 error that no page existed) or told that I would receive one more email to confirm my request (which never arrived)

3. yes, until I turned the whole mess over to spam@aol.com with the request that they help me, then PRESTO.....two days later the spam stopped and has never returned.

No bs.

*For the first few months, I just deleted them. They kept coming and multiplied.

*I've tried the "unsubscribe" link three times with three different results, including no response (from casinoprophet) and a response from Vegas Villa, but as you can see from yesterday's spam that is not being honored.

*I've forwarded them to spam@aol.com, they still are coming; what did you say in your email Suze that got AOL's attention?

*I forwarded fifteen emails to vpops; vpsops didn't get them because of his/her own spam filter

*I've emailed Andrew; time hasn't run out on that yet.

*I've forwarded them to spam@aol.com, they still are coming; what did you say in your email Suze that got AOL's attention?

Mary, I forwarded one of the emails from "123skidoo" to spam@aol.com with this note:

Dear AOL,

I have tried to unsubscribe from this email list many many times. Although the unsubcribe appears to go through, I still get these emails. One of the many problems is that a popup screen tells me that I will get one more email to confirm my request to unsubscribe, yet that email never comes, but more of this lousy spam.

Please, can you help?

Mary, hope this helps.

PS. I have been an AOL member for about 11 years.

Thanks Spear........ever since AOL won its lawsuit against a spammer last year, and probably before that time, they have been extremely proactive against spam. Now if only the spammers would get the clue.

I've just forwarded the complaints I've received at Casinomeister - all three of them.

Remember, I can't track these things unless you file a PAB. It gives me all of the information that I need, and I keep these on file.

I'm not going to waste my time looking under stones for problems, and it makes it a lot easier for me if you'd just PAB. If you feel something needs to be done about this then get with the program.

This is the final request. Thanks!

Today I received a email saying that I would be removed from the spammers email list by the end of the day. I did contact Andrew and yesterday he told me he would forward my information to the CEO of FL. So hopefully it's the end of this crap for me.

Not sure what this means. Seeing as how this block verification email admits that I was already blocked, and you guys can all see how little that stopped the flood of casinoprophet.com, 123skiddoo, 123rickey spam...

I keep getting this e-mail, too. Funny thing is, e-mail to block@xmr3.com just bounces back.

I have too received the two mentioned mails with Return-Path: <block@xmr3.com>.

I have not received the usual spam mails yesterday or today.

A second copy of the email from block@xmr3.com, and also none of the usual spam yesterday and today.

Dare we hope? Could the nightmare be over? If so, I credit: Andrew
Bryan
Spearmaster

and the supportive folks out there who shall remain unnamed.

I got it too, and it says I had previously unsubscribed on Sept. 22 - and I have copies of that as well.

However - I have never clicked any unsubscribe links. It appears Fortune is making very half-hearted attempts to have certain addresses removed.

Oh and by the way, don't credit me, credit Jetset instead, as well as Andrew and Bryan. I'm just one of those loud-mouthed people who bitches and moans until they get sick and tired of me.

Only five days without spam from FortuneLounge.

Today I received a spam mail that wanted me to sign up at Fortune Room - needless to say that I allready have an account at Fortune Room. The spam comes from Support Department <marketing@thecasnoweb.com>
34065 Mariner Way, Seattle, WA

The "good old" Test777 spam with an offer of "15 Minutes Free + 500 Casino Credits" has too returned. This time the spam comes from Sara Marks"<accounts@mplsdotcom.com>

The spam mail has too the following reference: Resavska 2811000 Beograd, Jugoslavija rec@bgrarg.te.

It could be someone else, you can only tell by looking at the affiliate tags, Shawn Berkovitz is not the only person spamming for FL. mplsdotcom.com is registered to someone in Israel, rec@bgrarg.te is fake, .te is not a recognised top level domain.

One issue that has not missed in the webcast, is that Shawn Berkovitz is not an affiliate, the VPOPS of FL explained wrote several times that he is their publisher, whatever that means, and this is why the prohibition on spamming by affiliates does not apply to him. To me, being a publisher seems to imply a closer connection than just being a random affiliate, which makes FL more guilty.

There are two links in the spam mail.

One link directs to to "http://www.7-sultans.com/freetime/default.asp?BTag=MS_124170_490980_051138&link="

Another link directs to guidebest.com. The site is under construction.

The other spam mail I received was send from a seeming "reputable site" with an opt-out option

I don't really care if the spam mails are from Shown Berkovitz or some other evil spammers.

I'M JUST TIRED OF BEING A VICTIM OF OBVIOUSLY SYSTEMATIC USE OF SPAM FROM FORTUNE LOUNGE CASINOS

Spammers

I don't care what his official relationship is with them, common sense tells me that if he wasn't getting paid for it he wouldn't be doing it. Who else would pay him for FL signups, directly or indirectly? FL of course.

I didn't get any for a day, now it's 3 times as many. They try to disguise it with different "from" names but Outlook Express knows its them and sticks it in my junk folder since I have them on block sender.

A year or so ago FL had that unsubscribe link that didn't work. I had to change email addresses to get rid of it. I just have it all blocked now.

I'm still ok, no Fortune Lounge signup offers from third parties. If that changes, like it did for Grandmaster, I'll be sure to let everybody know.

There exists the possibility (and some may think I'm being unfair here, so be it) that other third party marketers (affiliates etc.) having seen no Fortune Lounge smackdown on Bercovitz will start also sending spam with their aff links.

Everyone who has a website is a publisher.

If you publish something on the web, you are a publisher and affiliate programs of all descriptions will refer to you as such.
