I know it has been hinted at before but I wondered what everyones opinion was on the AWP slots from Microgaming. There are a few - Cash'n'curry being a recent addition. Firstly, what is the difference between AWP amusement with prizes and a traditional on-line slot? Presumably, the fact that it is totally not random and more in line with UK slot machines.

When it streaks, it streaks and almost in an embarrassing fashion. This week, from Pandamonium and Gee Gees (a clone) on MG flash casinos only, I have taken over 4k from 2 a spin - 200 in total invested. You know when its streaking literally win after win after win (dozens) are at the end of the high pay table and the features keep coming. Although the jackpot doesnt tend to drop, the second best does and if you keep rejecting it, the next spin tends to offer something bigger and so on, so forth. It is literally a case of not being able to lose.

Now, there is a trade off. Getting the streak is not easyand I am interested to know whether being awarded the streak is actually random i.e. x in x or whether it simply works on the total amount being wagered over a period of time. My feeling is that it is the former as the trend would be too obvious for the experienced gamer. I have hit 2 or 3 streaks in a row and that would suggest pure luck.

Pandamonium is a little different from the other AWP slots as the amount of features, nudges, cash prizes etc mean that you tend to hit the feature often but not win as much. With say Chavin It Large, the win tend to be 10x, 20x max during normal play but the feature pays 250x if you hit it correctly which is pretty easy. The interesting thing is that I have NEVER spent more than 500 (2 a spin) to get the feature which returns my money. Of course its boring to play a pretty basic machine just to get your money back but you could hit the feature in 10 spins which is beneficial. When its streaking, the feature can repeat (I have had it repeat 4 times once) pretty cool.

All of the slots are predictable although this is something that MG may tighten up on in the future. The truth probably is that the odds of hitting a streak are low but when you do, be prepared for a serious payout! Otherwise, I have found that your cash can last a long time.

Thought this might be of interest to someone!

Good post julester!

I always warn people to be very wary of these MG AWP machines, they are absolutely NOT random in the way the traditional online slots are.
As described, they will tease you for hours giving your features with very poor or no return, then suddenly go on one of these mega streaks.
I seriously doubt there is any way to predict when this will happen, or 'force' the machine to pay like skilled UK Fruit Machine players do, as this would soon be widely taken full advantage of... if by no-one else, then certainly by me! :D

So play them with the above in mind, but PLEASE don't confuse them with the random slots we all enjoy.

Slightly off topic, but I was playing in Vegas, frittering away money on a slot with 4 different features (I forget now what the name was). I inserted a bill and it got stuck. The floor people came and opened it, took my money out, fiddled around inside the machine for a few seconds, closed it and reinserted my money.

After that I went on a streak that was unbelievable. I must have hit each of the features some 8 times, one after the other after the other and round again with only an empty spin or two between.

I don't know if they did something to the machine or if it was coincidence.

Thanks.....

...for the responses. I guess 'in a nutshell' what I am asking is whether playing a non random slot which sooner or later WILL streak has better odds than playing a truly random slot that technically could never pay out...or at least not to the same predictability. Unless, the award of the streak itself is as 'random' as the normal 'random' slots. Does this make sense? If so, it might even itself out.

My experience is that the payback on the AWP is far better long term but but but......who I am I to say!

Have a great weekend everyone. Chavin' it large he we come!!!!....although might throw in a bit of Thunderstruck...

It's similar to playing high variance slots - long lean periods followed by one or two big hits. Personally, I like this style of play as it makes it easier to set & hit cashout targets.

chavin' actually pays? i tried it for maybe an hour a couple times and blew my whole 5000 fun balance that's how hard it sucked me. i really like the game because it's hilarious, but i hit the feature maybe one time and never got a better payout than the "3 pink sneakers". this type of game is intriguing though, like how are the nudges etc determined, and guessing what lies just above the visible reels on a multi-nudge. i don't fully get it but it looks like fun, but based on how little it paid me back in fun mode, i could never play such a thing.
