Last year I opened an account with Ladbrokes online casino. On the same day I was allowed to deposit £43,000 in 40 minutes with no verification process no source of wealth for that amount off money I haven’t played since.

do you guys think I will be able to get my money back from Ladbrokes casino online as I believe they have broken there license agreement and obviously haven’t acted responsible towards a customer.
I have attached the screenshot from my deposit.

If you was on GameStop or self excluded from there partners then yes you have a chance
But making a deposit and losing it no matter how big was your choice, why would the casino ever refund you in that situation ?

which exact section of the LCCP do you think they have breached?
I can assure you you were verified as it was automatic with GVC back then, and Entain do the same now.
What reason should they have done a SoW on you? What would have made them think there was anything suspicious about you?

[maxd says: the OP's second thread begins here. After a good many posts and a lot of blow-back from the forum readers he came back and deleted them. Given the situation I've merged the OP's threads and restored the original posts.]

So March 2020 I deposited £43,000 with Ladbrokes I opened my account on that date within 2 minutes I deposited £3000, £10000,£10000,£20,000 all on roulette in just under 40 minutes. Obviously I lost this money but this year I was going back over all my gambling activity in 2020 and I found it very strange that they didn’t freeze my account after losing the first £3000 which as I understand under the regulatory obligations they should have done.

I complained to Ladbrokes a few weeks ago about this and I have attached the response.
I just wanted to see you’re thoughts?

One you have more money than sense and two stop trying to get back what you lost

Why deposit £43k in the first place? I take it that you were prepared to lose that money? If you had won, would you have complained too and refunded the win to the casino?

I just want to know Ladbrokes justification why they let me deposit £43,000 in a very short time plus a new account same day is that responsible from the Ladbrokes team I think not! They don’t know anything about me my work savings etc but they must check this before I deposited large amounts.

Do you think it was responsible?

I think Ladbrokes need to be made accountable especially when they have all these adverts on tv ?. If I went into a landbase casino for the first time with £43,000 they wouldn’t let me spend that definitely the limit would be around £5000 then they would ask questions. The threshold requirements for an online casino are not above £43,000 that’s for sure

Let me rephrase my question. Do you think you were responsible depositing £43k

I mean on one hand they really shouldn't let new players deposit 43000 in under an hour, but realistically the whole ordeal took under 40 minutes by your own words. Not even the CIA or NSA can do something in that little time much less a casino. They can't monitor everything 24/7 and let's face it, it's your money and your decision to deposit and play.

That’s not what I am saying it doesn’t matter whether I deposited £43,000, £10,000 or £100,000 what my issue is why didn’t Ladbrokes put a freeze on my account after my first deposit £3000 that would be the correct thing to do not to let me deposit three more times for £40,000

They have systems in place to stop deposits after a certain amount surely from a new customer? So you’re telling me I could have deposited £100,000 in one hour?

How about you take responsibility for your own actions? I take it you were prepared to lose the £43k? Would you have returned any profit that you made?

I don't know. Clearly they don't have them or they're way too high.

I agree with you that they should have a system that allows a NEW player to deposit no more than say 2000 bucks the same day they register. Or whatever number seems appropriate.

However, they're not your mommy or daddy. It's your money, your bank account, your decision. I doubt they forced you to deposit 43k in under an hour. It sucks, but the best thing is to just move on.

Your solicitor is going to tell you if you liked the answers on your other thread?
It’s ok Colin I have discussed it with my solicitor and I will be enforcing action against them. Even if I don’t get anything back it will be raised with the UKGC and Ladbrokes will more than likely get a fine for there irresponsible behaviour.
why do you think that most casinos have a deposit threshold before source of wealth verification???
