Those people who attended Trump rally, including Trump himself, were warned about the virus many many times. They keep ignoring the warnings and putting innocent americans at risk. I strongly oppose his views, denying there's a racial ground for Floyd's murder by the police being one of them, and let's be clear here: he was becoming more provocative and belligerent in his posts - check p. 404 if you like.

But this was not the reason I reported him. His attacks on Vorcirion (even if he doesn't mind himself) were totally uncalled for, as eloquently explained by Max.

And for the record, I read every single Report that comes in, usually within a few hours or less of it being sent. As far as I can tell there has been no abuse. It's true, some folks are a little quicker to hit the button than others, but this is hardly our first day at the rodeo so don't assume that we're unaware of the need to take that into account.

So you baited him, then when he reacted, albeit at someone else, but mentioning you, so obviously clear what it was really about, you then reported his reaction? Not because you were outraged at what he said, not because the person the comments were aimed at were outraged, but because you you were outraged on the persons behalf, who actually didn't care, probably because he understands, its the internet, tempers flare and things are posted in the heat of the moment, then a day or two later, its' forgotten.

It's not about reporting you, it's about the blatant double standards at work, and hypocrisy of some sanctimonious members.

I am innocent of the crap you've thrown at me, I wanted to pick you up on your logic, but as is the way with forums sometimes, it escalated and morphed into a shitstorm, you could have just replied 'it might change the provocation angle, if the same person did the reporting' or it wouldn't change it for you; but no you had to go into vilify mode and make things personal with accusations.

I then replied, and there was a genuine misunderstanding to the meaning of my post, I thought 'they' would be seen as a plural, but you interpreted it as meaning I was accusing you, and then went into rant repeatedly calling me a coward. I'd bet no one thought it was you making the complaints/reports.

That's it. Your 'coward' posts should get that warning as far as I'm concerned but I won't lose sleep over it if it doesn't happen, certainly not going to report it like crying to teacher, as one or two members feel they must do when someone posts an opinion that offends them.

Caveat: I haven't yet read every response in this thread since Playford's suspension, so my following comment is based on what transpired shortly after that happened.

Playford's postings on his return to the forum were low-key and non-confrontational, mainly about Lady Sox and his COVID19 cooking. Even his posts in this thread were fine. Until his comments on George Floyd and racism, and that is when it all disintegrated.

George Floyd was scum and deserved to die as he lived by the sword.

It’s all about culture and nothing to do with race.

You have no idea as you have never been close to real racism.

The majority of crimes are committed and proven statistically to be people of one culture.
It makes perfect sense to target those people more for stop and search for example.

But once he made some very divisive statements (examples above), he would feign faux virtue:

In response to some of his more extreme comments, there were some very balanced posts counteracting his statements:

I don't question the fact that criminals have to face the consequences but the police isn't judge, jury and executioner. They're supposed to apprehend the criminals and bring them to a DA who will present the case to the court.

Everything else is just trying to justify what the police officers did. (SufferinSilence).

This was in response to the following post:

This forum thread is also called 'political rants' or the 'attic' section? It's not called the far left only zone but it is fast becoming that.

I have spoken to Ben via PM and he is sad at what has gone on today, the division, I think with the amount of effort he puts into the other threads he deserves credit even if you don't agree with his conservative political views.

I didn't agree with stevie earlier other than when she said at least playford is honest and has guts to call out people, she was right, he is an honest, plain speaker and a decent fellow who believes in right and wrong and law and order.
Also he is an ex marine not ex social worker so that needs to be taken into account when reading posts, and it's a better forum for having members with experience many of us will never have.

If someone wants to have a reasonable dispute/debate with the above, that's fine but if you just want to post ad hominem attacks [eminem for SIS] then save me the aggro.

The charts above are rather outdated - do you have anything more recent?

That said, those statistics do support the claim that the "majority of males who were accused of violent crimes in 2009–2010 were black."

However do you not think that when anyone makes a claim such as, "The majority of crimes are committed and proven statistically to be people of one culture", it should be accompanied by supporting evidence to identify exactly who the 'people of one culture' are? None of that was forthcoming, which is a major omission.

My main problem though with Playford's post, and what I find racist, was his statement: "It makes perfect sense to target those people more for stop and search for example".

No, it doesn't. That is what leads to discriminatory behaviour, with no regard for the principle of 'innocent unless proven guilty', and leads to the situation that George Floyd's death has exacerbated.

I did say you can debate those things, but if you take areas under labour or liberal democrat control [local and district councils] you can't say they have sat on their hands for decades and done nothing to help the BAME communities, and that they turn a blind eye to racism. If they have they need to admit their failings and stop blaming conservatives for everything.

Theresa is a strange woman, and statements like that are part and parcel of tokenism and virtue signalling, whereas under her role as home secretary knife crime continued unabated.

It's passing the buck to my mind, judges have to sentence according to the guidance, the cps prosecutes if the evidence is there, juries make up their mind based on the evidence presented. No previous crimes are mentioned, they don't know the person from adam.

What room is there for systemic harsher treatment, there can always be individual cases of unfair justice, but we are talking in the thousands. The police force have neither the time nor inclination to make up the evidence and witnesses etc...in some grand conspiracy to target black people.

I'm rather exhausted now and it was not easy finding a chart that wasn't bound into a pdf and of a decent size; that was taken from google images, it could be a day's searching to find up to date charts. [also it has to be said the home office can make comments about racial inequality till the cows come home, but they are then remarkably short of ideas to fix things, it's a political football that just gets kicked down the road]

I presume the White category will also include the eastern european citizens that have come and got involved in crime [many polish I believe] but I'm not tarnishing every central/east european for a minute (could be 5-10%) but it is a factor since the EU labour movement extended east in 2004 or something, that more criminals have set up shop here.

I do put a fair bit of effort and research into my posts, it is very time consuming, I don't expect anyone to agree with my posts, [nice if they do] and I don't know all the answers which is why I like debates. And reading other opinions as well from different countries.

But I can't deny my own sense of the change in attitudes to crime and falling standards of decency/behaviour in the UK, it's a slippery slope and I'm unconvinced of the 'liberal' cures. [I hesitate now when I use that word as people clearly get annoyed but it is the only shorthand way of putting it]

Maybe it is because the basis of your post is more conspiracy than fact? When I replied to the post I pointed out that I would have no problem putting my trust in vaccines as I believe that they do more good than harm.
I will park this one here, its an interesting read that debunks most of the "facts" put forward by that post.

And i will state again, my personal believe is that vaccines will do more good than harm, as all medications do carry some degree of risk or intolerance there will always be the possibility of adverse reaction but this risk is far outweighed by the protection that vaccines will give the vast majority of people and the eradication of so many diseases in the last 50 years, plus the increased longevity that we humans now enjoy is solely down to vaccination.

You can go into the reasons, socio-economic etc.. but the statistical facts ^ are undisputed and stand out for all to see. If you looked at knife crime in London the perpetrators and victims are mainly black youngsters, again not racist to point this out, so no point stopping and searching an equal number of white young boys just to be PC. There is plenty of white crime too, no one is forgetting that, but statistically per million it is far less, especially if you add the non white groups together. (even though the country's population is majority white)

I've seen loads of people over the years use figures like that to justify racism being a major problem in this country. On just the bare figures, I disagree with that. It could just be that people from BAME are actually committing more, or more serious, crimes than white people.

I remember about 20 years ago, a national newspaper ran with the headline that police were racist, or something similar. It was a big story at the time and made it onto most news outlets at the time. The justification was that they had checked the figures and in London, something like 75% of stop and search was on black males. When you dug into the figures though, and what wasn't mentioned in the paper, was that the data set they looked at was from a very small area of London, around 1sq mile IIRC, which had a population of around 87% black people at the time. It also showed that almost all the crime committed in the area was by black people, so obviously there wouldn't be a 50/50 split on black/white arrests/searches.

Being honest, I see very little racism compared to 30/40 years ago. That doesn't mean there isn't any, there is. There will always be racists, of all races and colours.

I think the problem is once again the poverty. Where you have poverty...you have crime basically. That seems to be the constant problem for black people. Something needs to be done to address poverty.
That kind of city planning where you have all poor people or other people with some other difficulties in one place doesn't help either. It just creates slums and that itself makes life crappier there and keeps feeding to crime rates too. Black people aren't in any way more prone to criminal behaviour. It's just the circumstances of their lives. If all people had the same living standards...then I'm pretty sure all races would be equally represented in crime rates.

Maybe it is because the basis of your post is more conspiracy than fact? When I replied to the post I pointed out that I would have no problem putting my trust in vaccines as I believe that they do more good than harm.

And i will state again, my personal believe is that vaccines will do more good than harm, as all medications do carry some degree of risk or intolerance there will always be the possibility of adverse reaction but this risk is far outweighed by the protection that vaccines will give the vast majority of people and the eradication of so many diseases in the last 50 years, plus the increased longevity that we humans now enjoy is solely down to vaccination.

As I stated a few times in that thread If Robert F Kennedy's claims where not based on fact then the might of Bill Gates wealth and that of the WHO would have had him in court a long time ago and his career in ruins so it has nothing to do with what you dismissively claim as "conspiracy theory".
