Well said. I too share that view and although nothing of late, I did come in for some stick over the years, I chose to smile inside or let out a "idiot" chuckle but then I'm over it, water off a ducks back
I think some forget its a public forum where there are going to be a multitude of differing opinions, express yours freely but then allow others to do the same without reprimand or fear of reprimand.
Also those who REALLY don't like him, no one is expecting you to have a beer or dine with the guy, take a deep breath and get over it, there are far more important things in life to worry about.
FWIW, I am not taking sides just asking ppl to look at the bigger picture and think "on a scale of 1-10 does it really affect ME personally" - Sure i disagree, maybe strongly disagree but end of the day its keyboard talk and I will live.

finally being boxed in kroffe? the road was wide, he ran to the left of the parked truck as the bloke stood there expecting him to continue jogging, instead he darted to the right side of the truck, run around it and attacked the guy.
Totslly innocent, jogging and looking into peoples houses, jogging but walking into private property, running out as fast as possible 5 mins later, once a car has passed who might identify him.
Afaik the police told him on the phone, to keep following until police arrive.

I don't think trying to shame other members as a racist is part of sharing opinions on a public forum. Playford doesn't hide his identity either, which makes accusations like that worse.

I'd like to know who keeps making all these complaints, getting people banned when they probably flame and try to wind people up themselves. I've not reported anyone ever, I did mention to someone I wasn't happy with a post once [not their post but another persons] and they threatened to counter report the other person involved's post, and I hadn't even mentioned reporting the post I didn't like. If that kind of thinking goes on, it's easy to see this reporting function is being abused.

I have reported the odd post in the past I wont pretend I havent . This time it certainly wasn't me as I was not around when the original posts were made. I did just go back and reread some. I am afraid playford definitely started the argument that caused the whole meltdown. Should he be banned. I have made exactly one report, and not in this thread.
I reported this --> Thread <-- because missed seeing where the thread was located.
I looked back a while later, and now the thread was locked.
Hah, my mighty report has done its work i thought.
I then noticed the thread was not locked at all, i just wasnt cool enough to reply in that thread, and my first report that i waited so long to use was wrong.
I give the whole experience 2.8/10 Honeyjars, and will wait atleast another year for the next report.

If Playford was told by the big boss not to mingle in the political threads and he accepted that as part of coming back to the forum, why would we need to discuss that? It's an agreement they made and he decided to violate it.
I mostly stayed out of that particular discussion because it was a rerun of what we already had done, I didn't see the need of rehashing it and knew it was gonna get heated to the point there were gonna be reports.

That's BS calling someone a coward in this instance, people should not be allowed to abuse the report function to silence the members they don't agree with or like. It doesn't matter who it was in that instance I mentioned.

Playford is either entitled to react or it shouldn't be said in the first place, my preference is for the latter, so the forum is as friendly as possible amongst members.
