So, I was just about to deposit for the first time with Mr Green since I recently reopened my account with PayPal and for some bizzare reason it is not even listed......

So yeah any idea why? I asked live chat and they basically said if it is not listed then it is not available. I said that is nonsense. On CM I was told others have said they used PayPal in the UK at Mr Green and they can use it just fine. I said it is your website that is the problem and that it only displays a maximum of 5 deposit methods.

Well Mr Green can go and get stuffed then, so much for me starting to play here again. So I thought I would not have any issues at this casino again and what happens. The first time I come back I get a issue STRAIGHT AWAY..........................................

Honest and detailed review of Mr Green here.

If I recall, it's there on the website, but not in the apps.

So I went back to live chat and asked them to remove skrill from my saved deposit method which they did because I said, PayPal is not listed. After that they said me to logout and back in again which I did, They then abrubtly closed the chat when I was not even finished so I then had to start a new chat explaining PayPal is still not listed in deposit methods.

I then sent them a screenshot. They then told me to hold while they contact the payments team. And after like 10 minutes of waiting they got back to me saying that you need to deposit with Card first now because you are classed as a new customer again. Which clearly I was not. I just closed my account and reopened it. My account was already fully verified and I used Skrill there in the past before I closed my account. I did about 500 or so deposits with it.

But basically I said, so you are saying that I have no choice and if I deposit with my card first which will then trigger a ID check for the card. So then I will need to take photos of my card front and back etc etc, which again wastes more of my time and then the PayPal option will be displayed? And they said Yes that is correct. I said well what happens if I did choose to do a deposit with my card and PayPal did not appear? Then what will I do? what would happen then?

They said you would need to come back to Live Chat. So then I said, but I refuse to deposit with my card first just so that PayPal will be displayed, which how do I even know it will be anyway. I do not want to for security reasons I said to them. I said surely you could ask the payments team to make an exception for me, I am a old player that reopened their account and yet you are now like you stated are treating me as a NEW customer. I mean this is just silly and stupid, it is like your casino is farming everyones card details for what ever purpose you are doing it for. I have never knew a casino to ever force people to deposit with a Card first in order for all other methods to be made available. I then said. So why can I still see Skrill and Neteller and a few other options. PayPal is an ewallet too. So surely That should Be listed from the start regardless. They could not answer that question, then they just abruptly closed the chat again.

Seriously they are very rude. This was another reason why I closed my account a few years ago too, fact I did around 500 deposits and only about 5 withdraws and had issues with certain things and their live chat was just awful. I mean William Hill taking over, I would have thought, surely they would have improved Live Chat. But no. IT seems to have gotten 100% worse.

I mean seriously has anyone heard or saw anything like this before? I mean why on earth would they limit PayPal and only make it available to players after they deposit with a Card first?

So it appears I will not be playing at Mr Green after all. So I will again have to search for yet another casino to replace the void left by VS lol

@maxd - I just wondered if you know what I should do in this scenario? Should I just not bother chasing this and just find another casino? Or should I keep at it and keep trying but keep refusing to provide my card details just for me to be able to see and use PayPal to deposit with?

Sorry I tagged you, I just thought that maybe you have some experience and might be able to shed some light on this matter?

Thanks in advance :)

Why bother? - Did you not use to play at Pokerstars? Why not just use them - decent RTP on the bulk of their slots; though they appear to have got rid of PP as well.

Wouldn't be rushing to play at a site that charges for each w/d, doesn't even have decent RTP ranges and whose offers generally suck as well (in addition to giving some absurd reason abt PP and card registration)

Pokerstars does still have PP actually lol. And I have pretty much only been using Pokerstars and party casino since I quit VS. Then to answer your other point about pokerstars it is also because they do not have quite a lot of providers either. So the likes they do not have Relax Gaming slots or No Limit slots, Microgaming to name a few. There is some others to, like isoftbet they also do not have. Those are the other main providers I play nowadays.

So I need a casino that pretty much has the same or close to the same providers that VS had and have. :)

Party Casino also do not have relax gaming or microgaming either. And they removed some Isoftbet slots recently too for what ever reason and did not even let us know why they removed them?

Also why is my reasoning so obscure as to why I refuse to give a casino my card details? I will tell you exactly why. Because databases can be leaked or hacked some times and any data stored on them even encrypted can be decrypted with the right keys. So that is why I do not give companies my card details. I use PayPal for all online payments now. I used to use skrill then neteller in the past too but even then I still used PayPal for none gambling related orders online.

That protects your card details. I much prefer and trust PayPal more than I trust a casinos servers to store my data on that any staff member can access at any time. PayPal is far more secure and less likely to be hacked or get info leaked from than any casino anyway. Just saying :)

If a casino is PCI-DSS compliant they shouldn't be storing your card details anyway :)

But yeah, i don't see much point in perusing what is essentially an average caisno at best - you'd be better off going to Novibet tbh. They have an even bigger selection of slots, albeit they break quite often.

But that is not what is just stored though is it. It is the pictures I was referring to the most. So even if the vast majority of people do black out the middle 8 digits on the front of their cards, it is still not very hard for them to crack those 8 digits. The security number is also only 3 digits too. Not everyone blocks out any of those details either. Some people are not always aware they are allowed to or need to block out certain digits etc etc. Sometimes Lice Chat agents do not even tell you that you can either. So that would then just be down to punters using their brains or not.
