You should also avoid it .... or it can happen also to you:
<snipped broken link>

Don't do it, your life is much more import. You have your family, friends. Look at your self, your behavior, is it changing when you are losing /winning?

You will never win, there are so many factors that you can not influence, it's just about luck and its not worth your put your life at risk :(

In how many other forums did you post this? Asking for donations?

I will report your post so the mods can look at it whether it is spam. Have not clicked on your link, just did a search on Google and found more forums where you posted exactly the same text and link.

4 forums. Seems to me it's funny for most of you. You don't have your kids next to you for last 3 weeks, I do. I wish all of you not to make so stupid things I did. Sorry for my post.

My life is not that import anymore, more export if anything. Especially since my partner ran off with the milkman.....she had become looser (sob)

We do not think it is funny when somebody has hit rock bottom and usually are a friendly and welcoming bunch. What we do not like are spammers or active links from newbies.

BTW, your link does not seem to have been complete as it would not open the site.

There is help available if you are in trouble, look up your local phone register or google for GA or the likes. You can also find a lot of information on this site under the "Play responsibly" tab/Quit gambling now.

No one round here finds problem gambling humourous, but trying to elicit a sympathetic response from members in one statement and using spammy links doesn't really wash. There are ways of conducting yourself especially considering no one knows you from Adam....

Why register at a gambling forum in the first place, only to tell us of the pitfalls of gambling. Most are already fully aware of this without the need of unknown links. If I had a problem with gambling, I wouldn't even come anywhere near this place to begin with, sorry!

Harry, I will post a valid link, if you want you can read there whole story. Anyway, I know I made mistakes and its only myself who is responsible for that, unfortunately with my blinded eyes I didn't see what I'm doing and that it influences also others in very negative way, the ones I truly love.

I agree with the opinion that the last place you need to be joining is a gambling forum. You should not be asking for money (which will only fuel the thought that you'd be using this for gambling) - you should be seeking help via counseling. Please check out this page for further information:
https://www.casinomeister.com/quit-gambling/

I'm also reassigning your account to the "quit gambling" user group.

Good luck with that.

Admin note: renamed thread from "looser" to "loser" and moved it to here: Quit Gambling.

This guy asking for 27k! I bet I lend him 20$ and it's on a roulette table 5 minutes later.

I am sorry but I have no pity for anyone. We all spewed money at some point, made bad decisions and made bets we shouldn't have.

Asking for money after 7 years of gambling? Really? What happens when you loose too much? You stop. You find yourself a second job to earn extra to full your bank account and you don't complain about it. When you go to sleep exhausted after 16 hours shift, you think about your bad decisions.

Sorry if I am harsh. If a friend of mine with kids would endanger his family like that, I would smack him in the face.

That really does not impress me that much to be honest. I feel sorry for your family but that's as far as it goes. You went into a gambling bash and now others shall sort it out for you.

At the same time you have not shown a single thing how you will start to control you addiction, nothing, not a single word. And you want people to trust you and give you money???

As i said contact your local Gambling Anonymous office or similar organization, they will support you in talking to your bank to stretch your loans, lower payments; they will put you into a recovery group etc. At the same time take your wife to the bank and ensure that only she will have access to your accounts, cut all your cards in half etc.

Show some conviction that you are prepared to eat "dirt". Easy to start a fundraiser and if the money comes in quickly, which i doubt, you will carry on as nothing has happened and on the next difficult occasion in your life you'll be back gambling it all away.

First of all, if you doubt it that it's true I can show those that can help access to my gambling zone, bank statements, etc.

Second, it's hard to prove that someone will stop with it. Steps that I want to take are: lock my access to gambling website, and the most important is to give access to my bank account to my wife (who read my story will understand), I can give read only access also to someone else who will help significantly, I can sign some documents if necessary, etc. As I stated, I have had one year break, it's no need to gamble from my side anymore (there was another reason for that and my misunderstanding of the situation, it's lesson of my life).

If someone wants to help, can ask me whatever question and will get answer. But not publicly.

My email is: [email protected]

Thanks.

You desperately are trying to get a solution to your problem by asking others to flock to your donation page and make that 29K magically appear.

Well, sorry, it doesn't work like that.

1. From what i gathered you have a debt of appr. 100K EUR / 8 years-84 months = appr. 1200 EUR + interest = appr. 1400 EUR monthly payment and you are debt free. That is not overly much, it is a lot but nothing to start going around begging for financial help.

Since the bank gave you the 100K you must have some sort of sizeable income + you can take on a weekend job. That should be sufficient to cover your payments. What is left goes to your family, might have to do without some presents/holidays but definitely manageable IF YOU DO NOT GAMBLE AGAIN.

2. You will not overcome your addiction just like that. You will be a gambler for the rest of your life but if you seek the right help/counseling you will have it under control. It is not any different to drugs/alcohol addicts.

Repeating myself, but do contact a local GA or similar organization to assist you in getting on the right path. They will also go with you to your bank to negotiate the repayment of your debts or at least show you the possibilities, they are experts in that.

3. Stop crying: "I am the poor soul who needs money NOW!". It doesn't grow on trees and nobody will donate 29K to a gambler just because he is shouting loud enough, speak posting the story all over the internet and forums.

4. Talk to your wife, show her every little bit of debt you accumulated, sit down together to work out your total income, your total expenditure/month and what a realistic repayment amount can be. You might even have to sell your car, your expensive watch, jewellery, whatever valuables you have, but if you work together you can make a plan and get through this mess.

Let your wife install GamBlock

on your laptop/PC/tablet/smart phone, whatever you have on devices where you can access casinos.

Cut your bank cards today! In front of your wife.

Self-Exclude from every casino you registered with! In front of your wife.

If your wife is not prepared to do it, which would be understandable, then talk to your brother/sister/good friend/parents/grandparents/uncle/aunt and see if they are willing to assist you in your recovery.

Well, Harry thanks for your advices. I mentioned that I tried many things and this is my last chance. Do you really think that as a first step I asked for a help? Don't get me wrong, but I tried everything (bank, friends, colleagues, my part of family, etc) I can, many things that you mentioned already. Some of the steps I can not make as I don't want to lose kids. You have your assumptions which will fit into 80% of cases, but those are not right in this case. My wife will not give me second chance, I know it for 110%.

I posted my messages with aim to prevent others from such an stupid things I did and to put down pink glasses. I'm really desperate and you are presenting me like a person who lost money so is immediately asking others for a help. I really tried everything possible and I can show it to somebody who truly wants help me, but it doesn't seems to me right to discuss it here.

Robert, at the end of the day we all have to suffer the consequences of our doing, no matter if bad or good. If you have two kids you just don't go and gamble money away like that, it is totally irresponsible. Claiming now that you love them more than anything does not convince me as in those days/months/ hell, 7 years you gambled happily away you didn't think about them.

I made my assumptions with the information i had available. Trust me i have seen (repeating myself again) the bad, the ugly and the real ugly bad during the years i worked for an organization and gambling addiction has to 99% the same scenarios at that moment when a gambler is asking for help, always, no exception --> The gambler has hit rock bottom and the first time they convince themselves to seek help they think it will be done and over within a few days or weeks at the max. Well, it is not.

You can always go for "personal insolvency". Since you are in Europe that should be covered by the law. It will mean 7 hard years but you will come out debt free.

You will see you kids on weekends, holidays etc. and maybe your wife will give you a second chance when she sees that you are getting your act back together. This is the harsh reality but it is most certainly not the end as you bring it across. There are literally 100.000's if not millions worldwide in exactly the same situation as you are right now and anybody who is really willing, will find a way to get his life back.

Last but not least, asking for help on gambling issues in a gambling forum is definitely not the right place. We can give advice and direct you to organizations which can assist you, that's pretty much what is possible.

Look - due to the very nature of the activities we indulge in on this particular forum, and the inference or actual real effects they can have on one's finances I would say it is unwise of anybody to give money to anyone, unless it's direct to a charity or a prize etc.

That includes loans, GoFundMyAddiction pages or any other gifts. It's a bit like seeing a street-sleeper asking you for a tenner, swearing that it's not for smack or booze as they want it to "sort things out and I don't do that any more..." It may be true but 99.5% of the time it certainly ain't.

The worst thing you can do for a gambler, or 'ex gambler' is offer financial assistance as it's like asking a recovering alcoholic to store a few cases of wine for you in his cellar. You are simply providing a means to temptation or relapse. Unfortunately the only way people find a route forward from these issues are when they reach rock-bottom, despair which then instils a permanent and deep resolution never to go there again, and always to remember the pain they caused themselves in case they are tempted again.

By helping to shorten the long and arduous path back from the edge actually does the recipient no favours in the long run. The only route by which they can repair the damage and take the consequences is to put it right themselves. Unlike heroin addiction, there is no 'methadone' for the gambling addict.

Banks, friends, colleagues would be mad to offer financial assistance if they know your issues. Give the ex or partner shopping for the kids because you've left them in a hole with your behaviour, stuff for the kids or help for the mother with rent/mortgage direct to source but NEVER cash. Sounds harsh mate, but that is exactly where you are and how others see you. You can't get others to wave a magic wand and overnight nullify the effects of a lengthy period of essentially self-indulgent behaviour by yourself. If they did, you'd be straight back to first base.

Good luck but believe me money is not the answer for YOU.

OK, thanks all for advices, mental support.
I can see that everybody agrees that there is no reason and it makes no sense to help me financially as there is still zero and it will never move above, I understand that it's stupid thing to believe to former gambler. On the other hand I know that I will not gamble anymore. It influenced my life in such a way that it's just not possible to come back. Only people that went through similar situation know what it is to live like that, to have 7 sleepless nights a week, to try everything possible and impossible, try to smile when you are having such a problems in your mind and to finally understand who I'm going to lose. I really appreciate your efforts and I know that you are giving me best advices possible, but you don't know all the crucial details (I mentioned loans related to gambling, not mortgage, etc), I have no things to sell, you have not clue about my income, what is the banking system here, .. and all things that I tried to remedy. I'm not looking for myself, but only for the future of my kids and there are many options that I'm considering. If they are going to be without me, there are still options how to make their life better, without debts.

Anyway, this is my last response, I would rather concentrate on last 3 weeks with my kids, those two are/were the reason of my life. I just can not live without them and to see them 2 days (max) per 2 weeks (best outcome possible from this situation in my country, man has such a little rights and if the divorce is his fault it's almost 0, even if the situation was opposite mother will get them). But I know that it's only my and my fault.

Finally, why gambling forum? I knew that the chance to get even EUR100 support is around 1%, and to reach my goal and to survive is 0.0000001%. But I wanted to pointed out what can gambling cause and to allow all you to think about it. I thought that everything is OK, everything is under my control, but it was not. And I truly believe that it's the exactly right place for that to avoid another ruined life, if it help at least to one person I will be happy.

Take care all of you.
