New Slot Announcement Immortal Romance 2!

Would be great if companies didn't desecrate their esteemed IPs by handing them over to baboons. But then, money talks, integrity walks.

Giving built-up franchises to amateurs is sad to see, but nothing new of course, and with it, allowing them free rein to 'alter' existing titles is all too apparent.

One glance at the recently released Star Wars Battlefront collection in video games will attest to that; taking a pair of 20 year-old games and have them made playable for modern consoles....

Except they went and botched up the easiest layup in history, all courtesy of a studio called 'Aspyr', the Games Global of video games. Shame! đź””

That would be Stormcraft Studios, who actually I believe developed the original Thunderstruck Slot and also Immortal Romance. So if anyone is going to butcher the sequel, only fair it is them :)

We actually interviewed Terence Igesund from Stormcraft here on Casinomeister back in September 2021.

Interviews with Casino Game Studios - Casinomeister
Interesting interview to have another read through. Terence has obviously been around the industry for a long time, and been involved in many of the big hits of Microgaming.

I'd clarify your summary slightly because

, although I'd agree with your observation that one or more people who worked on the originals have worked on the sequels, although possibly in a different capacity (e.g. developer vs manager).

Having a look at Games Global as a whole - they currently list 35 (!) studios on their website. However, having a look through their "legendary slot portfolio" (their words), I recognise a lot of them and my initial reaction was "that's a clone of...", or "that's obviously inspired by..." (similar to Jan's comment above)

And perhaps that's the state of the industry, with so many providers trying to make a name for themselves, if you do come up with something innovative there's a risk you don't actually see the reward for it because dozens of other studios will quickly rip it off. After all, people were paying for the megaways brand given how many games were released that didn't look like a megaways slot - and probably weren't in the original meaning.

In which case, playing it safe and pumping out dozens of rehashes, clones and variations may be the prudent option? Doesn't make for much of a slotting experience though!

Quickfire was their distribution platform, which apparently they also sold to Games Global (so Microgaming Quickfire becomes Games Global Quickfire).

Somewhat at a loss what Microgaming has left then - they have a "platform system" when seems to be yet another back-end platform (which will also be used by Games Global, as a client), and then the "sports betting" which has one client - Betway.

oh wow, how confusing! My head's spinning lol

I took a break from gambling back in 2018 but just started again last week, I played immortal romance at the weekend, I noticed something I had not seen before, There was human like figure and next to it was a number saying 49 thousand something, Is that how many are playing the slot at that time and is that a global figure or just your own country ?

Got to say Immortal Romance 2 isn't bad at all - better than the TS2 rehash.

They've used the framework from old rolling reels games like Cricket and Basketball Star.

I've played out all 4 features, so longish video here.

Cheers for the video.

As a life time fan of the original (well at least until I could no longer afford 30p spins ) it does look pretty good to be fair.

They do need to iron out the lag and "clunkiness" before release, other than that not bad at all
You can play this bugger for 10p!

Not for me yes it looks nicely made but the fact they reduced the pays makes it a no go for me. I will be avoiding this like the plague.

What also pissed me off is the jackpots. Why do Stormcraft and all other crap slots now always come with jackpots all they do is take away from the RTP and the chance of winning them is also very rare too.

Also the fact they made the jackpots increase overtime is again something I hate. Slot providers do this mechanic to make it so people continue to invest and play the slot because they visually see the jackpots growing and growing.

But what they do not say is this, as the jackpots get higher and higher the chances of winning one of them decreases over time as well. So you could play it every day doing 2000 spins a day and maxing the jackpots and never actually win one of them or win the highest jackpot.

Then brings me to the max win. The max win is only the max jackpot amount the 15000X - 100% you can not win that 15000X from base game or wild desire or any of the free spins rounds. Thats my feeling anyway.

It is just more of the same old shit from that provider.

Move along, nothing to see here or get excited about. I will stick to the original.......

Some fair points there. The jackpots are a hybrid of static and progressive, they are capped at 50, 75, 200 and 1000x respectively and start off at 10, 10, 15 and 20x. This applies across all stakes IIRC. So they aren't that dramatic in their effect on RTP.

The 5-reel Wild Desire would be 5x 1024 = 5120x so 15360x if hit on max 3x multiplier capped to 15,000x.

As for symbol pays, you have a progressive 1-6x wild multiplier in the base game to alleviate those effects, due to the rolling reels which also allow more wilds to drop.

As for the way-pays, in Amber FS you could get Sarah at 4.5x on a 18x wild multiplier so 81x per 5OAK way, but I agree it gives the player a slight lack of belief as far as probability goes.

You have to play 1000 spins to buy the WD here.

Yeah but again for UK players we can not buy so that achievement means nothing for UK players lmao

So again that is also silly and stupid adding that as an achievement when UK can not even buy it lol

I was surprised how much they had retained the theme and visuals. It looks impressive and quite faithul to the original. You can tell a lot of effort was put into it at least. But the pays and the jackpots are the only thing that would put me off playing it regularly.

It's odd that they've even bothered to make a 96.x% version.
The 96.x% version of Thuderstruck 3 (whatever it was called) is quite rare.
Even the sites that do TSII and IR at the max 96.x% (32Red, Etc) added TS3 at 94%.

It looks like one of those games where there will be Loads of tiny wins and a few Big wins, But nothing much in between.

It's out now.
Apparently, it's exclusive to 32Red.

BUT, They've opted for the 94.30% RTP, even though they have the original at 96.86%.

So, I'll be waiting for the full RTP version to appear on other sites, before trying it.

I would be somewhat doubtful as to the validity and accuracy of that. Unless they mean "exclusive to 32Red where UK players are concerned".

According to the winners list scroller on CR, this slot has been out at least a week already with several players (who do not play in GBP currency) winning big on it.

Its been out for a while been playing it since middle last week at Nostalgia (casino reward)
I like it actually withdrew 320$ from a 50 deposit last friday playing it 🙂
Almost through all the activements as well
Had about 7 wild desire not more then 2 wheels wild yet
Paid from 10x to 120x the best

Tried it tonight and it's... not... horrible...

Played long enough to hit the "jackpot" bonus a couple of times, it almost always seems to land on the lowest amount (surprise!) except for 1 Wild Desire that went for a whopping 4x.
Cycled through all the bonuses and Amber is still the best.
Also had a 2 Wild Desires landing in the base, one of them did pretty well: 3 wild reels but only 5oak 10s and Js for about 150x.

This might just be the first good game from Stormcraft. Who'd have thunk it :eek2:

It's also exclusive on Unibet, naturally at 94%.

I'm really not sure what to make of it yet. Lost 433x stake so far, and 4 poor paying features, no Wild Desires, and in 1600 spins best hit was a 40x base game. WD multiple is at 2.5x so far so takes ages to build.

1000007607.jpg

First 100x lasted over am hour and 600 spins, and even without a bonus in that time it churned really well. Since then its been quite naughty. And reminds me of the Thunderstruck and Jurassic Park sequels, in that feature frequency is too low, ( well north of 300 spins for me) for features that 'can' pay so poorly. I gave TS Wild Lightining about 80,000 spins and best it gave was 300x. Even had a four reel WildStorm pay 120x which is awful (and minimum in originals would've been at least 900x)

Things I do like:

243 ways - so better than TS2 and JP remakes
Stacked multiplying wilds - so guess base can pay with 243 ways
Top Notch production value and plays really well even on phone

Things I don't like:

Why Jackpots - 7%RTP goes to these and its all personal stored value. Just put it in the base or bonus. Had loads of Jackpots and it always pays the lowest value.
All the potential seems to be in the WD.

Will give it 5000 spins to reach 'immortality' but if it doesn't perk up doubt I'll play again. Or maybe give the 96% version one chance, if I can find it anywhere on realease, though best most will take the 94% version.

Not saying its a bad game just cos I've lost so far, but haven't seen anything to excite me yet.

I played it at 32 Red.

It’s been quite good to me. Deposited £10. Had 300 spins at 0.10. Net gain £20.

I’m put off by the 94.30 (thanks Casinomeister forums for making me aware 32 Red had opted for low RTP version).

I pretty much quit gambling but loved/hated Immortal Romance 1 so decided to bet modestly to play this one.

I like it. Overall I think it is a worthy successor.

I just played it also at 32 red, Couldn't hit the bonus despite 7-8 teases and achieving wins above 1 to 2 times stake felt an impossible task.

Although i like the quality of the sequel in terms of graphically and it sticking to its theme. It is all sadly ruined by its god awful pays and shitty jackpots taking up half your screen.

Which if you actually hit one! haha you joker.
There hardly worth taking up half the screen of the game for.

So yeah I guess I will have to try again in the near future at a higher R.T.P and see if its any better.

Side Note.

I just found this article from 2010,

Immortal Creatures?

Immortal Creatures Slot

What happened to this game?
Another slot wiped from the archives ?
I couldn't find anywhere to play it in the U.K........

I think it is a slot that is exclusive to Casino Rewards mate.

And before you ask....no...it ain't worth a try. It's so far beyond shit, even the world's best sewage processor couldn't wash the crap out of it.
