couple of times i had such a good session playing slots that by betting just £1 i won £1000. Everytime i spinned i won at least 40 quid. How often sessions like this happen? Since then i do win but its not the same. I didnt have a good session in months.

A good session would indicate a slight profit and knowing when to withdraw. A spectacular session might be 1 in a 100, where everything goes right and the RTP gods are having an off-day.

So not that often then :(:(

My experiences of late...

Poor sessions (nowt happening, few or no features, 10-20x hits at best, quick bust) = 4 in 10
Fair Sessions (few 'stay level' features, odd 30x+ hit but eventual bust)= 3 in 10
Decent session (regular features, ok but not huge, few reasonable base game hits, small cash out) = 2 in 10
Sweet session (100x + Hits, plenty of bonuses across many games, cash out 10+ X your deposit) = 1 in 10

and then there's the can't put a foot wrong which happen about once a year, had mine at Redbet in June 144 euro ND chip, £5,760 WR, 4100 euro cash out :D

Now when I set out I expect a bust so have a back up plan ready, 99/100 its called 'An Early Night'

So do you think that if you have a good session you can play any game and win? I remember having really good session when any slot i played was going crazy. Just throwing money at me when all i bet was 40p max 80p. Recently all games i play just take my money and give me middle finger :(

I wouldn't say every slot but certainly when things go well, almost every game plays well for long durations. This is why it feels like a 'session RTP' as opposed to each slot's individual RTP.

These are commonly referred to as "the f*cking jammy times", and as rare as hen's teeth

*except for Jonmincher. He's always jammy.

I think Jon gave you a good practical answer without going to deep into theory. Generally speaking the lower your bets the slower your death and the more unlikely such a "miracle" session will be. If you still want a decent shot of a 4 figure withdrawal on bets ranging from 40-80p try some high variance slots with big hit potential. Many will recommend Dead or Alive as such a slot but imho it's terribly boring and there are some other good slots around. Queen of Riches and Book of Dead are 2 newer slots which also can produce very high returns (far above 1000x stake).

So if you ask how often you will be able to withdraw 4 figure sums with those bet-sizes on the standard Netent games with say £50 deposits my estimate would be roughly every 50-100 times.

I always go big or go to bed so 1 out of 250.
When it happens it's magical. Turning 50 into 5000 is really fun and will make me loose the other 249 sessions with joy.

So if for exaple you would deposit £500-1000 what would you bet to come out with a profit? Im always trying to practice with play money but i dont think i can compare that with real play. Im quite new to casino, only started playing this year.

You haven't taken our pearls of wisdom onboard yet? ;)

There is no 'method' to the madness with slots, or else we'd all be doing it.

If you have a healthy starting balance (£500 - 1000) you just adjust your bets according to that, say 80p - £1 bets or so and see how that goes.

If you have £20, you bet small like 20p (or less!!) and build up the balance if possible.

Important thing is to set yourself a cashout target before even starting. If you're happy to make a £200 profit, then stick to it. Don't get too carried away in the moment and don't go crazy with high bets.

There are those that would 'just go for it' with a £1000 balance and start doing £5+ bets from the outset. If you're going to do that, be prepared to be likely out of pocket, very quickly!

Over time, you should expect to lose around 4% of your funds. Let's make it more like 7% percent to include all associated fees.

It has been my experience that 10x your deposit sessions are not all that frequent. My average deposit used to be $25 - $50 two or three times a week depending if I'd had any recent wins, and I'd say I had a $1000 plus cashout around once a year. Quite a few years ago, I lowered my cashout point from $1000 to a more modest $200 profit, so there may have been times I would have won more, but $250 produced a lot more winning sessions than enabled me to keep playing. I can't tell you how many sessions I'd had with nice $700 or $900 balances I blew trying to reach that $1000 point, hence my decision to be more modest.

Those sessions where everything just seems to be going your way are REALLY rare. More often, it's one or two big hits that produce a big cashout.

Only deposit money you are prepared to lose. Each session (each spin actually) is independent of past events, so never chase your losses.

Keep track of how much your hobby is costing you. You can lose $100 an awful lot of weeks in a row without a cashout, especially if you are only cashing out at $1000.

I learned to cash out at 200 profit or sometimes even less. I havnt had a great session in a long time. Only happened twice so far and it was when i only began playing at casinos. I wish i knew then that those amazing sessions are rare and i should have bet more money for a chance of bigger win. Now im praying for another miracle session, and if it will happen will try to bet big.

In addition to my other post, if we are talking cash out strategies (if we get that lucky ) then I always withdraw 75% of peak balance after completion of wagering (and no I haven't copied Dunover :p, I have always adhered to that self set rule)

If playing straight cash then I set a target of 6 x D, if reached (for example £150 from a £25D) and apply same 75% rule.

Odd exception would be a massive early hit with no wagering where I'd bank 90% or if wagering had been a massive struggle and I was a touch pissed off, again 90%

Very rare exception, if mega tired or totally bored then I'd withdraw 100% of balance (minus any odd pence)

Well i think there are definitely some things which can help sometimes. Like for exaplme after playing big bets i reduce iit and nearly always at least get back what ive lost. Another thing is when playing fast i noticed that machines tend to eat your money, but taking your time gives more chances to win. Also when a game is not giving you win after first few spins, i mean even small amount chances are you will not win in that game. Those are the things i noticed playing everyday.

Thats what i started doing recently. If i deposit 20 and win 100 i withdraw it. I rather do that, make another deposit if i want to than keep playing and loose it all. Done that 2 days ago. Won 100 on titanic, took it out, made another deposit of 20, kept playing titanic, got to about £4 deposit money left, hit bonus round with 80p stake, won £700 :D
