I boycott Qatar !!!
You think Qatar is bad. The House of Saud is seriously considering a bid to host the 2030 World Cup. The Kingdom of Saud have a recent record of sports washing, with events such as Anthony Joshua fighting there twice, Formula 1 and also WWE all hosted there. The Saudis have stated it will be an alcohol free tournament if they do indeed win the right to host it.

Let's teach them upstarts what Soccerball's all about :p
Waiting for the lesson.

What I learned so far was ZZZZzzzzz. No fights. No penalty cards. No fans rushing the pitch. Wtf? :p

Well that's that sorted - England avoid a 4-0 or worse defeat against Fales and USA beat Iran and both tonight's teams are through. If the USA fail to beat Iran, then Iran and England go through. What a crock of shite all round.

Sadly one of the things that spoil these tourneys and even annoy me a bit are all the "equation experts"

If England draw with x and y wins 3-1 and z fails to turn up and there is a full moon.....

Just play the bloody three games without all that and if people want to work this stuff out for themselves, then that is up to them.

One thing, why is it that these players all act like pussies? It looks as though most are in tears when they fall down and go boom.?
It's showmanship, they pretend to have been grievously hurt so as to fool the referee into booking the opposition player.

But here we have South American teams, who are taught this side of the game from a young age, plus it's a bitter rivalry, so they'll stop at nothing with the theatrics :p

European football isn't quite so melodramatic

They dont have all that soft padding that Americans use when they play football.
:p

But on a more serious note, they do it because it works.
Pretend to die when you fall over and its more likely the ref will give you a free kick and possibly card the other player.
Its pretty silly, they fall over and act like they are about to die, ref calls for a free kick and then they get up and play on like nothing happened.

You could say its a form of cheating that is sort of allowed (It is against the rules but its pretty rare that players get a yellow/red card for diving)

Argentina have a player called Mac Allister. And yes, he has Scottish and Irish ancestry ?‍♂️

Crazy world we live in
And Jose Luis Brown in 1986. Lot of Welsh, Scots, English and Irish went there in late 1800's plus another wave (like one of my great uncles) in the 1930's. And Chile.

So it's any two in that group, a 'convenient' draw between Argentina and Poland means it's likely they'll both progress if Saudi don't win. If Saudi win, then a draw does it for Poland and thus the Argentinians must win and Poland go home.

Ironically Ummmm-Bappy and the French are definitely through thus far as are England (barring a mathematical catastophe.)

Been having a little think about WC's gone by and international teams in general.

Conclusion is that it is amazing how our parents (more so fathers) rub off on us and influence future thinking.

No reasons personally for not liking teams such as Argentina, Germany, Uruguay and a few others but having sat and had a little think about it have several memories returning of my Dad saying negative things about these teams and I've without really thinking about it until now carried on this train of thought and feelings towards said teams.
