Your Input Please Disgusted With Videoslots

A few days ago,i was unable to log in to my Videoslots account, getting a login error message.I had not changed any of my details so went onto live chat to try and resolve. This failed so I was advised to change my password which I did and this seemed to resolve the problem. However when I checked my balance I found that £96 had disappeared (it had reduced from £96.55 to £0.55).Back onto live chat who advised that three Live Roulette losing bets totalling £96 had been made at 00.45 that morning. Now firstly,at that time I was in bed and secondly I have never played any form of roulette at Videoslots or any other online casino.I also reminded them that I had contacted live chat before I was aware of the issue with my balance so they aware that their was a possibility that my account had been accessed illegally.I iwas told that the matter would need to be passed to their security department which I was quite happy with.
Today I receive a reply that despite the fact that these bets were made from a different IP address to my own, this was not enough to suggest that my account had been compromised.Furthermore I was told that that the security of my account was my responsibility and that ''false claims are not taken lightly''.So basically they are saying that it was my fault the account was hacked into and that I was telling lies to try to get a refund of my losing bets.
The amount lost was not a fortune but I am incensed that they could directly or indirectly accuse me of being a liar or a cheat. They even finished by saying that if I wanted to reactivate my account I would need to make a request in writing and their security team would make the decision as to whether I would be allowed to play there again. So as far as the last part of their reply is concerned, they need not have bothered as I have asked them to close my account.

It is a very easy process to see if your account was breached by a hacker or whoever.

They do an IP check to see if it differs from yours. If there is a suspicious one, they search to see if a VPN was used and the location of the IP address. The cookies used by the site that are placed on your browser will also give them information. So it would be pretty hard to get anything wrong.

You should ask for more information. I know it is limited because they dont want to give away their security protocal but they can atleast give you the IP address that was used then you can see what they are seeing and go from there.

When my paypal account got hacked paypal was more than willing to give me certain details including the IP. So I doubt videoslots wont especially since you have brought this public

That sounds like they believe you're guilty and will never be able to prove you're innocent :eek2: It sounds really scary since what you're saying can be true, and the fact that not every gambler is a liar.

Theres a bit more to it than that. For example, I can access videoslots tonight using a browser I have never used before and an IP that won't match in any way to any I have already used. Thats just using a different phone. If I wanted to cover my tracks I could do a lot more.

I was meaning to be able to tell if it was him or not. I doubt he would switch browsers that hasnt been used before. so they would be able to see if it was really him by the cookies they placed. Also, switching your IP will still give you the same location upon search unless using a vpn. But a vpn can be detected by search but most likely their security system

hey i very similar problems.. i already msg dan in private..

anyways.

i started off the night with a 200 deposit and played it on my desktop pc, and i lost it all fair and square.

than i had to go out with a friend, and decided to play on his phone cause his phone is faster than mine. so i deposited another 100. i played wizard of gems and my balance was between 200-300 and i was in a middle of some free spins (i think). than i was busy and just activated my lock screen. when i came back my balance was gone so i checked under account history and game history and everything. from the 100 deposit nothing was recorded.. even the 100 deposited wasn't recorded.

so i msg dan and i decided to deposit another 23 dollars and play while i await for dans reply, and everything was recorded properly. apart from the 100 dollar deposit session.

dan replied back and said everything seems to be fine, and i told him to look at my bank statement. my bank statement showed all 3 transaction. 200 , 100 and 23.

whereas on videoslots it only showed 200 and 23.

.....

That is a strange one. I wonder if something happened when using mobile.

Dan will be able to see the $100 deposit and where it was played in the logs. If it isnt there at all but your bank shows the $100 deposit thats pretty concerning but there has to be a trace of at least the $100 deposit hitting their banking

IP location services are pretty useless, this is mine

  • Your Public IPv4 is: 80.234.xxx.xx
  • Your IPv6 is: Not Detected
  • Your Local IP is: 192.168.1.114
  • Location: Sanquhar, SCT GB
  • ISP: Daisy Communications Ltd
I'm nowhere near there, like 100's of miles away :)
Just pointing out those methods aren't likely to be given much importance when a casino is looking at this type of thing, although obviously if the IP was the same as used earlier it would be :D

Yep I know But if you go and search that ip location using a tool it will show you where the person is. Its the same thing for wifi. If you unplug your router and get a new ip address, it shows a completely different number but the same geo location. Its how we used to catch spammers and multiple accounters on another forum that tried to mask themselves. Things may have advanced since then as it was a couple years ago but thats what we did anyways :)

Why is it everytime I see threads like this. I always hesitate on believing the posters?

I am not saying they are lying. But the second poster issue seems very strange to me!

Hopefully Dan will update this thread with the outcomes of both posters claims. So we know if it was lies or not!

I agree that threads like these should always be updated - for transparency reasons. Also, I understand where you're coming from - when posts like these are made by newbie members I also have my doubts (e.g. The bloke who's van was robbed :laugh:), however the OP David has been a CM member for 5 years. I'm not sure he would post a lie for the sake of £90..:thumbsup:
