A few days ago,i was unable to log in to my Videoslots account, getting a login error message.I had not changed any of my details so went onto live chat to try and resolve. This failed so I was advised to change my password which I did and this seemed to resolve the problem. However when I checked my balance I found that £96 had disappeared (it had reduced from £96.55 to £0.55).Back onto live chat who advised that three Live Roulette losing bets totalling £96 had been made at 00.45 that morning. Now firstly,at that time I was in bed and secondly I have never played any form of roulette at Videoslots or any other online casino.I also reminded them that I had contacted live chat before I was aware of the issue with my balance so they aware that their was a possibility that my account had been accessed illegally.I iwas told that the matter would need to be passed to their security department which I was quite happy with.
Today I receive a reply that despite the fact that these bets were made from a different IP address to my own, this was not enough to suggest that my account had been compromised.Furthermore I was told that that the security of my account was my responsibility and that ''false claims are not taken lightly''.So basically they are saying that it was my fault the account was hacked into and that I was telling lies to try to get a refund of my losing bets.
The amount lost was not a fortune but I am incensed that they could directly or indirectly accuse me of being a liar or a cheat. They even finished by saying that if I wanted to reactivate my account I would need to make a request in writing and their security team would make the decision as to whether I would be allowed to play there again. So as far as the last part of their reply is concerned, they need not have bothered as I have asked them to close my account.
