Devices
These is a device that persistent drunk drivers can have fitted to their cars that measures their level of intoxication before releasing control of the car to them. It is programmed to recognise who is taking the test too, so no cheating. We need a USB version of this device, which installs itself onto the PC and measures the competence to gamble online. If the player fails, then access to online casinos is blocked. It will be set so that even to uninstall it the player needs to pass the test first.
A drunk player will have to reinstall windows followed by the casino to get round it, by which time they will probably be sober!
I have come to grief on occasion, not from alcohol, but from the buzz of winning really big, and increasing bets (and not doing too well). The large sums from the earlier win mask the actual amount that is pissing away till a good chunk has gone. Some players have posted that you should increase risk when winning, but this may not necessarily be a good idea. This is a particular problem with WR still to complete, as I have tended to try to get it over with to cash out and have not played in the best manner to retain as much of the win as possible. 45 spins on Thunderstruck - well about 4 and then I thought I had better not continue - probably the best way, give yourself, say, 5 big bet spins and hope for the bonus round (it does sometimes come this way), and if nothing comes of it don't press on. I have played these slots in fun mode on their maximum settings, and they can take thousands in a matter of minutes if spinning blanks, and even the bonus rounds are only in the low thousands or high hundreds.
I would not have minded my 5 scatters in the Spring Break free spins being at 45 a spin though (rather than 2.70), that really would have been huge - but this does not tempt me to throw 45 spins at Ladies Nite to try to get it there too (I would certainly not autoplay at that stake level, it would be spin, and pause for thought).
