Disasters Whilst Drunk?

why the casinos in las vegas give endless free beer and cocktails...

for me i can say, my wagers are much higher when i had some beers. i'm not really drunken, but the willingness to go for higher risks is given.

I saw the title to this thread, and thought you guys had unearthed some hidden video of me.

Good topic by the way Nafanny, not sure if I'll own up or not. Have to think about it. :)

If there's one out there, I get first dibs on a copy. ;) :D

As far as GWI (gambling while intoxicated), I've come home from a night out a few times and dropped maybe $50 into Intercasino for a whirl.

It's even funnier when the only hazy memory I can pull out of the mental cobwebs is me and my buddy both squinting at the computer screen trying to make out what cards were there ... and why I had six cards instead of the normally dealt two.

Oh, yeah, I was seeing three of each of my cards ... at least I didn't split the 10's like my buddy was yelling at me to do.

Worst I've even done is $7.5K or there abouts at a land based. Fortunately $7K was the casino's money, unfortunately I'd won that in the previous hours. I just accepted too many free drinks which makes me feel 10 foot tall and bullet proof. Least to say each time I feel like a land based punt I never go, I've still got a bad taste in my mouth from that night 7 years ago.

I don't think I've ever drank much while playing (B&M or on my home computer), but I have played AFTER a bender. At least for me, statistically, not good.

a) I generally don't remember too much the next day... except something about losing all my credit.

b) While playing (despite not really remembering what was dealt/what was spun), I'm probably just trying to keep my eyes from closing, and my body from falling off my desk chair (I've had more success with my balance than my game-play  ).

c) I find that if the reels are spinning and not hitting on something like "Thunderstruck", I find that the session can be hypnotic. Which isn't true, because it just means that I'm going under... (glub, glub, glub, grrrglll...) :p

cue shit-faced man falling-off chair, to the ground, which will be his bed for the next 10 hours...

On the flip-side, after a losing session while being intoxicated, I go straight to bed and don't ponder the losing session (until the following day... that is  ).

I'll admit that I probably (generally) make higher bets (crazy ones at that), which could go either way. It just hasn't worked. :(

Unfortunately I never get drunk while gambling...at least I could blame beer effects on my brain for my stupidity and big losses:eek:
Last week I was on a short cruise to Sweden, on the boat there were slot-machines, I had previously drunk a bit at the buffet and than I went to play...well I hit a jackpot!!!! 40 euro:D
Maybe I should drink more...

Hi Paris ;)

Sounds like you all need to start smoking weed. It'll make you paranoid and you won't want to mess with your computer since the US government knows what you are doing - they have a secret alliance with Bill Gates and have installed tracking devices in every version of Windows since October 2001.

Expect a knock on the door by the men in black. Wait a minute...somebody is watching me through the window. Bye.

Note to anyone who's got an outstanding PAB: Don't hold your breath!

Actually, it was Intel that started tracking everyone when they put a unique identifier in their CPU's, then partnered with M$ to track everything you did online. If I remember right, it was before 9/11...

Sad thing is, this actually did happen for a period of time. M$ kept track of this identifier and associated it with your information once you registered windows...the rest is history.
Seriously though, I'm glad they stopped doing that sh!t.

If I had her money, I sure wouldn't have to resort to making videos, lol. There's no video guys, really. REALLY! Well, not that I know of anyway. :D

Was up 2.5k and started betting $90/spin on T/Struck, I think it was about 7 mins. What a hangover!!

God, I resemble that remark. At least you can remember WHAT you bet, lol. Only happened one time.

Hmm but then she did have her money, and she did make THAT video, although admittedly it wasn't for "commercial" gain. Well...directly. Always wondered if it was "accidentally" stolen on purpose, if you know what i mean!

Yep, I know exactly what you mean Simmo. I think she likes the "bad girl" image. Especially if it pisses off the family, lol. It's funny how some prefer infamy to fame. Me, I'd take the money. Who needs to be famous?

As funny as that sounds, I heard that one loud and clear!

Devices

These is a device that persistent drunk drivers can have fitted to their cars that measures their level of intoxication before releasing control of the car to them. It is programmed to recognise who is taking the test too, so no cheating. We need a USB version of this device, which installs itself onto the PC and measures the competence to gamble online. If the player fails, then access to online casinos is blocked. It will be set so that even to uninstall it the player needs to pass the test first.
A drunk player will have to reinstall windows followed by the casino to get round it, by which time they will probably be sober!

I have come to grief on occasion, not from alcohol, but from the buzz of winning really big, and increasing bets (and not doing too well). The large sums from the earlier win mask the actual amount that is pissing away till a good chunk has gone. Some players have posted that you should increase risk when winning, but this may not necessarily be a good idea. This is a particular problem with WR still to complete, as I have tended to try to get it over with to cash out and have not played in the best manner to retain as much of the win as possible. 45 spins on Thunderstruck - well about 4 and then I thought I had better not continue - probably the best way, give yourself, say, 5 big bet spins and hope for the bonus round (it does sometimes come this way), and if nothing comes of it don't press on. I have played these slots in fun mode on their maximum settings, and they can take thousands in a matter of minutes if spinning blanks, and even the bonus rounds are only in the low thousands or high hundreds.
I would not have minded my 5 scatters in the Spring Break free spins being at 45 a spin though (rather than 2.70), that really would have been huge - but this does not tempt me to throw 45 spins at Ladies Nite to try to get it there too (I would certainly not autoplay at that stake level, it would be spin, and pause for thought).

I found that I lose my ability to count cards after 4 drinks, but I can still play basic strategy.

Too late judging from your avatar. Spontaneous combustion is a nasty one to pick up and quite untreatable so I'm told.

I'm afraid you're right Simmo! Last night I had a dream that I was sinking in quicksand.... but when I looked down I saw that it was indeed coffee beans and not sand that was sealing my fate. Why me?

Duh, never ever have that big of a problem with drinking and gambling. Cant remember them damn neteller numbers if I get a bunch in me :eek2:

Hahaha, I truly wish I had that problem of not remembering the right things at the wrong times "liquidsoap". Just my luck, I can punch-in my NeTeller numbers like a mad pianist while my mind is trying to fend off a blitzkrieg of Korean whiskey (a.ka. "SoJu"), yet I can't remember anything from the session. :p Chalk it up to some form of muscle memory I guess.

re

Uggg, what timing for this topic, lol

I have the worst hangover in 10 years. I never drink anymore, until yesterday.

I went out at 3, and met up with some freinds. Ended up going out later to sing kareoke and was there until 2am, then went and drank more beer
afterwards.... I came home and blew 300 bucks I didnt have and lost it.

Talk about loss of judgement. ..... Didnt get a royal, just the crown royal.
Oh yeah and jeggermeister, and some wierd apple shots... and I NEVER do shots, and did them all night. .....

Note to self:(or to my husband) If I go out drinking, hide the computer before I get home:) lol

Hee hee. Been there, done that. Good old Jagrmeister, man I haven't drank that swill in years, used to love it. Apple shots? Probably apple schnapps, good shit too, lol. At first I thought maybe you meant Apple Jacks (not the cereal kiddies), which is Jack Daniels mixed with Apple Juice. Amazing what you'll drink when there's nothing else around. :D

Hope you're feeling better Amatrine! :)

I won't get into specifics but I know when your drunk and you can't sleep because of what you just tilted it's one of the worst feelings ever.

For me it doesnt seem to bother me until the morning. Then I feel sick inside all day and keep thinking "I cant believe I did that" and "never again".

Theres always a next time though LOL
