Definition of an a-hole

Admin note: this thread was my response to the "old" Plexgaming. Not to be confused with the new. :D

Besides several ways in which an a-hole can be described, an a-hole is someone who uses your brand or personification knowingly in order to profit.

I was notified by one of our members that there is a member at Twitter.com who is using "Casinomeister" as his handle:
xhttp://twitter.com/Casinomeister

and he even has the gall to post a link to his website:
xhttp://casinoplex.blogspot.com/
Where he is posting as "Casinomeister"

What a dick.

Anyway, I'll be contacting Twitter to have his account shut down. And I'll be contacting the affiliate managers of the casinos he's promoting to have his accounts shut down as well.

What a bloody waste of time.

It's actually a form of theft, exploiting the years that you have put in developing the reputation and content of the Casinomeister website, so this cretin deserves everything he gets.

Casinomeister is also a registered trademark, and this a-hole is knowingly violating this.

And this is the typical "evil webmaster" shit that keeps popping up. Stupid a-holes who are too damn lazy to do any work themselves and try to exploit the work of others. They fill the Internet with deceptive garbage just to make a couple of bucks.

They have no business ethics whatsoever, and yeah, they deserve everything they get.

What I'm getting tired of is Blackhat crap.

I work hard for my placement - and dangit - when some scum site that is just ads manages to pop up way ahead of me - it's like AGGGGGGGGG not freaking fair.

And it seems like the Rogues are the worst at it.

I just can't understand why people try to be sneaky and non-transparent when trying do business in this industry. There is no need, people need to understand there is plenty of "cake" for all.

Did the guy actually think this would not go unseen??? I mean, what was going through his head? Apparently nothing.

This is a true definition of an A-Hole (with a capital A!), another nice definition would be a - Shmuck.

I can't believe somebody would be that stupid, to try it with the Casinomeister "brand". Did the guy actually think you wouldn't find out? These "things" really do deserve what they get.....

What is odd is that most of the casinos and links all point to Flexgaming properties.

I've emailed the casino rep to see what's up about that.

...

Ok, 'impersonation' complaint filed at Twitter regarding the fake account. This person is in direct violation of Twitter Terms in that they are using the fake account to promote their own business interests (see 'Help Resources / Terms of Service and Rules policies / Impersonation Policy' at

You looked so poor with 0 follower that I felt it was my duty to be your first, and for the moment, your only follower.
Don't worry, this situation will change, you'll grow and soon you'll be a Big Twitter Boy.
Any other Twitter on CasinoMeister ?

PS
At the moment I was writting this post, I noticed I had a new follower....life is so big !

It's a pretty sorry situation when there are "rip-off" scumbags that will take advantage at every possible aspect of marketing regardless whether it's ethical or not.

I've already complained to both Twitter and Plexgaming. Anticipating a response...

Sorry BT, what is 'Thing'?
I think T is referring to the a-hole and whether or not he/she has an account on the forum.

I think T raised a good point. If it were me in Bryan's shoes, I'd ping Twitter and find out if they can/would release the IP addresses that this a-hole was posting from, and then compare those against the forum....maybe you'd get a hit, unless they were using AOL or something, then it'd be virtually untraceable.

Or, maybe they were dumb enough to use the same e-mail address to signup for Twitter and here...

I have a funny feeling that it is quite possibly a member of the forum pulling this stunt..maybe a lurker, maybe not.

Needless to say there is no useful info available via the fraudster's profile on Twitter. Official channels are probably the only hope for that kind of info.
Yep, and I think that copyright/trademark infringement is enough of a reason for them to cough it up. :)

I think he did know that he would eventually get caught. Dude was just trying to ride it out with lots of tweets until then. That sucks. Hope he is shut down really quick:mad: If any cm members are on twitter, send out tweets about fake CM all over the place.
