Cheekymonkey do you frequent any of londons casinos? Free buffet twice a week in Russel squares casino:D

LOL - I think most of them offer free food now, dont they?

I work just off Tottenham Court Road. I occasionally pop into the GALA on TCR. I have been to a few other seedy places in Soho, but i much prefer to play online. :D

Hey gfkostas, who owns the casino now?

I remember when it was a Stakis casino, a class joint then changed hands to Ladbrokes then Gala... who has it now?

Stakis is the name of a cypriot guy who used to own the casino there. For some reasons they still use the same chips with the stakis name on them.
Now the casino is owned by Gala. The only decent Gala casino in terms of service to my knowledge is the one at baker street named Baracuda. They even got a private high stakes area which I patronised once:D

Actually you won't find more than 1-2 that offer free meal and not just sandwiches at the tables. I prefer to avoid soho and its shady, seedy places:eek2:

You will find me at golden nugget on shrewsbury avenue where I frequent:D years now. You get to know the staff which is useful in more ways than one;)

I think you mean Shaftesbury Avenue?

Yes, I've been there a few times too - but i don't get very lucky there.

Does this count?

Back to the topic..................................

Note:

1) Win amount (bet+win)
2) Size of bankroll after bet+win
3) Doubling against an ace (I was on tilt, split 8's against a 4, got 18 and 15, lost both to 19)

 :eek2:

One of the bad things about playing a very agressive game of BJ...:D

All this off a $50 deposit at 32 with the monthly bonus :notworthy .....not to mention only 4 hours have passed, and I've already doubled the WR hehe

anyways, lack of sleep contributed to this :p

The biggest bet I have ever made was 500 on William Hill on Blackjack 2 years ago during a 1500 "on tilt" losing streak. It lost of course:lolup:

I bet HK$10,000 for many hands several years ago on paikow tiles in a cruise ship. That night was unforgettable. The dealer lost about $1.5M to the seven players who occupied the seats and those placing bets behind them. The max bet is $10000 for each occupied seat and this was an extremely bad night for the house. After that fateful night, the casino arranged some 'fung shui' plants and reduced the number of seats to 6. That was really crazy and I won 100K. BTW one USD = $7.8 HKD.

You guys are high rollers....

Only when I'm on the houses money ;) I think the most I've started a session with (in the past 3 years) is ~$200. More like $50-100 recently. Just have to build it up...I just love to take advantage of streaks (BJ) and make them the most profitable by continually raising the bet each hand.

After a long, horrible session at InterCasino i bet $500 of my last $1000 on BJ. I got 11 against dealers 6, so i had to double. Hit a 2, but luckily the dealer busted :)

Also autoplaying Thunderstruck with $45 pr spin is a little crazy. Got the Rams, but only around $400 in payout :(

$135 x 15 spins with a $400 return stinks. I would be totally gutted if that happened to me! :eek2: :eek2:

Yeah, it sucks bad when you see the spins fly by and you only manage to hit a few staffs and hammers. To make matters worse 3 Rams pay $225, not $135, so you can imagine how few wins i had in free-spins.

I have hit 3 Rams several times on both $22,5 and $45, and only once have i passed $1k in winnings. My best free-spins has been on $4,5 and $9.

My highest win (5-6 times) has been single line RF for 1000$ and highest
bet until this was 20$.

But TODAY I had 600$ left after wager, 300$ of these was phantom/sticky... Max bet on roulette was 500$..

So I could withdraw 300$ now... OR win at the roulette and withdraw 800$.
So this 18/37(48.6%) bet was way too favourable, but I was nearly shitting myself while doing it.

Sorry for 'promoting' this casino though. I just want to try all casinos for more insight into the industry and try myself how I get treated. (I havent been paid for this yet though). I also tried the new Harrods Casino today(Kismet software). No luck there though, but I can say there is room for software improvements. It reminded me of the older Boss Media software, but it 'gives' the impression of a very reliable casino though.

Ooohh.. The screenshot, here it is ( had 500$ on red)

I bet my last 2000$ in bj and get blackjack.2000$ turned 5000$.continued to play and cashout 4000$ : )

your LAST 2000$! bloody hell how much did you start with :p

I get the shakes at anything over 10 a hand in BJ, so how do you feel when betting $1K plus? and what do you do if you have to spilt or double, man you have guts

A while back when I had an 'issue' with a casino that had reversed a processed withdrawal because they said I had an astronomical WR on my winnings (that I'd won off my own damn deposit) I went back into the casino (after 2 days of emails and phone calls talking to brick walls) and I bet as high as I could on Break the Bank. What's the max? I was so mad, I don't even remember... $50 a spin? $25? Whatever, I busted out in a very few spins without hitting a darn thing. Zilch. Nada. Nothing.

(Sometimes I think back on that little tilt and remember that just because you bet big doesn't mean you'll hit something.)

You don't have to have guts but cash:D

once, playing roulette at Global Player with $1 bets, accidently placed $50 on 10 and 4 numbers around (almost $200), I noticed it and tryed to remove it  , but it was too late. I closed my eyes and prayed , wenn I finally looked - my balance was over $2000 ! :D
It was only one time experience, later I tryed it on purpose, I never won
And I already told about Lasseters experience somewhere in the forum - I played slots (I am low-roller) and it was Blasing Saddles with countless lines. I placed small bet and hit maxbet, then I noticed that suddenly my balance (about $200) was $0  Again, it was too late to correct my bet, but I had Luck:lolup: - I won $7000 !:D
Unfortunetly, also one time experience - it happened never again
