I was having a good session with VP - i hit 2 royals from a couple of hundred quid deposit and i was up to around 4K.

I hit the roulette table and decided to lump 100 on 23. On about the 3rd or 4th spin (i cant remember, i was hammered) it came in!! About 3.5K or something like that. :D :D

I was hooked for quite a while after that....

"23" is my lucky number - maybe I was on the same roulette table at the same time :D Let's pretend i was. You owe me ;)

23 -

Probably the amount of fags i smoke a day
Probably the amount of glasses of wine i drink a week
Probably the amount of times i log on to CM a day
Probably the amount of times i check all my casino accounts for a bonus each week
Probably the amount of time i think about girls every minute
My birthday!!!

10K on Syracuse, NCAA basketball. Ask my ex wife the outcome.

Ha ha ha!!! I'd say the ex part gives us a pretty good hint Jonevegas. :D

I don't make too many crazy bets....but I guess I'd say last summer at VIP Casinos the night I won 7K, I got up to over $3,000 and got brave (and drunk) and was betting $9 a spin, which was their max bet. Got lucky and hit the feature and won almost 5 grand on it. And I did cashout...and it was a $25 deposit which is even sweeter.

about 200 on a BJ hand.

I did work for this rich fellow once who would blow an average persons salary in one night at the casino. He would then tell staff about it the next day or tell them he was too broke to give a pay hike. Now through bad investments, excessive gambling, greed etc he has lost a lot of it and those staff members don't feel at all sorry for him.

Hi all,

as you may be aware bacarat offers decent odds and often when it hits on one side it will hit on that side for a while and then change.

I was using a strategy where I increased my bets going one way for as long as I thought it would last and then I'd change the other way and that's when the craziness started.

I've since made larger bets but at the time i was in new territory because what I did was bet like $50 on bank and if it hit player (again, since it had started out on that side) then on the next hand I'd bet $50 (to recover loss) and another $100 (because in my mind at the time, I thought i'd never get a better chance than now for it to come up bank) - so make enough of a bet to make it profitable: and it didn't hit ... sigh. so I went $150 to recover loss and another $300 ... didn't hit.

finally went up to where I had more than $900 invested and it finally hit and I played like that all night long (at a riverboat here in Kansas City) until they closed down the place at 5 am and this Asian man had been betting along with me (for every $5 chip I was betting, he was betting $25) and anyway they ended up prying us both away from the table and making us leave ...

next morning (2 hours later and still on the rush...) it opened up and guess who was at the door waiting for it to open as I approached?

Yep, you guessed it. He and I stayed and played another half a day and to this day though I've won more at times ... I've never experienced such a roller coaster ride as that and even though we both finished way up ... I've never tried it again because its just too damn hard on my nerves betting those kinds of stakes.

I forgot about this one . Business was bad a few years back but there was one NFL week that seemed like a shoe in, I went balls to the walls and bet 5k each on 9 games, didn't know how I was going to cover it if I crashed but hit 8 out of 9 games, cleaned my book out, he had to pay me in 3 installments, isn't that funny, he pays me over time and I get no interest, if i can't cover it I loose my knees??

3.5K in two spins

cool, it's always been a dream of mine to hit a number with £100 on it, then a double or triple would be nice :) (greedy!)

Once in a B&M casino in London I hit 26 with £50 on it, now whenever I hit big I always double my bet, on this occasion I was so excited and also they changed dealers that I didn't. Yeap you guessed it, 26 came in again, still £3500 from 2 spins made my night thank you very much.

Good times.......

My craziest bet was on accident. I was playing a $5.00 per coin video poker machine at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. By accident I hit the max bet button which was very close to the "bet 1" button. At first I thought "What the hell, it's only 5 coins.. $25.00. But the max bet was 30 coins... or $150.00 on that hand. Didn't even get a pair to break even. Man! was I pissed!

From Golden Palace, who would've known?

Not sure if this is considered a real bet. I was playing bj at Golden Palace and was up about $500 including bonus. But in order to cash out, the Terms said i cant just wager the bonus (which is what i had been doing) and that i'd have to wager my own money. so i put about $500 down which was just enough to meet their terms and wager about $5 bucks of my own money. I put the money down and was hesitant on pressing the button. But when I did, I hit a BJ and my brother and I went crazy ahhaha.

From then on, i've bet $200-$300 hands :), not just in GP but other online casinos.

Did you cash out anything in the end?:eek2:

Heres my biggest bet ( it was a sad moment that hunts me since then :( )

LMAO...sounds exactly like a seinfeld episode! :D

[edit]He wouldn't happen to run an online casino would he??? If not, he should...he has the tactics down pat

[edit2]Tantalos....I feel you there...I've lost probably $50 from 'misclicks'. I don't see why (wait, I see why) MG/RTG/etc don't have a box pop up saying "you have hard 17-20, are you SURE you want to hit|double|surrender?"

I remember some years ago I was in a B&M casino bullshi**ing with the dealer...I had a hard 20 in front of me and was joking around, took a few seconds trying to decide whether or not to double....(yea right)...Anyways....can you guess the next card out of the shoe??? Of course it was an ace.....we all cracked up ;)

Ouch - vul with that bet gfkostas :eek2: :eek2:

Errmm..as far as i remember, i think i cashed out about 4k - I wasnt much of a slots player at that time (around 2 years ago) and I think I went back to VP and was spinning the max bet - 25, and lost quite a bit. :o :o

I have also lost a double totalling 200$.I had 10 against 9 and the next card was a small one so dealer cleaned up and left my agitated in a abyss that took me a while to recover

Cheekymonkey do you frequent any of londons casinos? Free buffet twice a week in Russel squares casino:D

LOL - I think most of them offer free food now, dont they?

I work just off Tottenham Court Road. I occasionally pop into the GALA on TCR. I have been to a few other seedy places in Soho, but i much prefer to play online. :D

Hey gfkostas, who owns the casino now?

I remember when it was a Stakis casino, a class joint then changed hands to Ladbrokes then Gala... who has it now?

Stakis is the name of a cypriot guy who used to own the casino there. For some reasons they still use the same chips with the stakis name on them.
Now the casino is owned by Gala. The only decent Gala casino in terms of service to my knowledge is the one at baker street named Baracuda. They even got a private high stakes area which I patronised once:D

Actually you won't find more than 1-2 that offer free meal and not just sandwiches at the tables. I prefer to avoid soho and its shady, seedy places:eek2:

You will find me at golden nugget on shrewsbury avenue where I frequent:D years now. You get to know the staff which is useful in more ways than one;)

I think you mean Shaftesbury Avenue?

Yes, I've been there a few times too - but i don't get very lucky there.

Does this count?

Back to the topic..................................

Note:

1) Win amount (bet+win)
2) Size of bankroll after bet+win
3) Doubling against an ace (I was on tilt, split 8's against a 4, got 18 and 15, lost both to 19)

 :eek2:

One of the bad things about playing a very agressive game of BJ...:D

All this off a $50 deposit at 32 with the monthly bonus :notworthy .....not to mention only 4 hours have passed, and I've already doubled the WR hehe

anyways, lack of sleep contributed to this :p

I bet HK$10,000 for many hands several years ago on paikow tiles in a cruise ship. That night was unforgettable. The dealer lost about $1.5M to the seven players who occupied the seats and those placing bets behind them. The max bet is $10000 for each occupied seat and this was an extremely bad night for the house. After that fateful night, the casino arranged some 'fung shui' plants and reduced the number of seats to 6. That was really crazy and I won 100K. BTW one USD = $7.8 HKD.

After a long, horrible session at InterCasino i bet $500 of my last $1000 on BJ. I got 11 against dealers 6, so i had to double. Hit a 2, but luckily the dealer busted :)

Also autoplaying Thunderstruck with $45 pr spin is a little crazy. Got the Rams, but only around $400 in payout :(

$135 x 15 spins with a $400 return stinks. I would be totally gutted if that happened to me! :eek2: :eek2:

Yeah, it sucks bad when you see the spins fly by and you only manage to hit a few staffs and hammers. To make matters worse 3 Rams pay $225, not $135, so you can imagine how few wins i had in free-spins.

I have hit 3 Rams several times on both $22,5 and $45, and only once have i passed $1k in winnings. My best free-spins has been on $4,5 and $9.

My highest win (5-6 times) has been single line RF for 1000$ and highest
bet until this was 20$.

But TODAY I had 600$ left after wager, 300$ of these was phantom/sticky... Max bet on roulette was 500$..

So I could withdraw 300$ now... OR win at the roulette and withdraw 800$.
So this 18/37(48.6%) bet was way too favourable, but I was nearly shitting myself while doing it.

Sorry for 'promoting' this casino though. I just want to try all casinos for more insight into the industry and try myself how I get treated. (I havent been paid for this yet though). I also tried the new Harrods Casino today(Kismet software). No luck there though, but I can say there is room for software improvements. It reminded me of the older Boss Media software, but it 'gives' the impression of a very reliable casino though.

Ooohh.. The screenshot, here it is ( had 500$ on red)

I bet my last 2000$ in bj and get blackjack.2000$ turned 5000$.continued to play and cashout 4000$ : )

your LAST 2000$! bloody hell how much did you start with :p

I get the shakes at anything over 10 a hand in BJ, so how do you feel when betting $1K plus? and what do you do if you have to spilt or double, man you have guts

A while back when I had an 'issue' with a casino that had reversed a processed withdrawal because they said I had an astronomical WR on my winnings (that I'd won off my own damn deposit) I went back into the casino (after 2 days of emails and phone calls talking to brick walls) and I bet as high as I could on Break the Bank. What's the max? I was so mad, I don't even remember... $50 a spin? $25? Whatever, I busted out in a very few spins without hitting a darn thing. Zilch. Nada. Nothing.

(Sometimes I think back on that little tilt and remember that just because you bet big doesn't mean you'll hit something.)

You don't have to have guts but cash:D

once, playing roulette at Global Player with $1 bets, accidently placed $50 on 10 and 4 numbers around (almost $200), I noticed it and tryed to remove it  , but it was too late. I closed my eyes and prayed , wenn I finally looked - my balance was over $2000 ! :D
It was only one time experience, later I tryed it on purpose, I never won
And I already told about Lasseters experience somewhere in the forum - I played slots (I am low-roller) and it was Blasing Saddles with countless lines. I placed small bet and hit maxbet, then I noticed that suddenly my balance (about $200) was $0  Again, it was too late to correct my bet, but I had Luck:lolup: - I won $7000 !:D
Unfortunetly, also one time experience - it happened never again
