Whats the best Christmas promotion anyone has seen so far? I logged into 32Red this morning and saw their new Christmas wheel and man there are a lot of goodies on it, not just deposit matches either but real goodies like tv`s laptops and camcorders :D I have my heart set on winning the tv but something tells me its going to be one of those whoever wagers the most and takes top slot prizes somehow :( Still, having had a look at all the goodies their currently offering this month, i have to say its unusual and impressive

so far, have been receiving newsletters from 32red, redflush ,royal vegas, and another MG I can not remember.
32red has the best value. today, I took the deposit bonus and had many good hits. Did not find the cashout button but hey man I am happy.

Today:
32red - deposit match - excellent(150%)
redflush - 10% cash back - + 5 spins on SWR
royal vegas - 15 spins on SWR
another MG - deposit match - not too bad(50%)

X'mas is coming, peace on earth and good will to everyone (except bankers :p)

Cheers

plasticnote

Ladbrokes 50 free spins on SWR, no deposit. Managed to win 200+ at a minimum bet.
Did not cashout but it was my fault because i was playing a bit crazy. :D

Did not really see any other promos yet.

Had the 32Red one already, no luck unfortunately. Played the wrong slots again:rolleyes:.

Fortune Lounge - saw the calendar, but NO free spins waiting for me.
Red Flush - can see the calendar from email, but when trying to access from the lobby in order to opt-in, I just get "page not found".
Jackpot Factory are doing one where for a 50 credit daily deposit, one gets some free spins. Not tried yet, so don't know how many, and how many lines/coins.
Casino UK are supposed to have an advent calendar, but no sign of it so far in the lobby.

GNUF - the WINNER so far. 100% up to £500 - and that's just today. 32Red are in with a chance over the long haul in terms of value, but on December 31st, the GNUF new year's eve offer is 100% up to £1000. This is of course due to me being Platinum level loyalty, and a VIP - and being down over the life of my account (I woudn't get a bean if I had a lifetime win, UNLIKE 32Red where I am 35K UP, and STILL getting the Club Rouge offers).

Casino Rewards, standard fare, nothing expecially Christmassy so far.

I did get the offer from Ladbrokes, but they are a Neteller hating outfit, so I haven't even bothered reinstalling the software. Their 200% bonus looks good, until you see it's a £5 deposit for a £10 max bonus. I would also have to wager that £5 20x in order to qualify for the tenner.

Love 32Red's promo! I would love that new laptop ;) I took advantage of my 150% bonus, got some good playtime then well...got greedy ;) Look forward to this month's play thanks 32Red!

And as I only play 32Red now I've seen the other promos sent but so far 32Red the best.

I think the prizes are entry to a draw, with one of the day's players winning it. I can't see every player that spins the wheel getting a TV, iPad, or laptop. I won't know for sure til the day comes that the wheel lands there. I could do with an iPad 2 or a Laptop, but will take anything that's going.

I figured that would be the case and still a chance at a pretty prize. And ditto@take anything that's going eheh

Best offer so far...

Logged into Jackpot Party and had £100 on there. I went onto Live Chat to ask what it was - just an early Christmas present apparently! No WR or restrictions at all. I withdrew it immediately and they've already processed the WD.

Then I deposited £50, doubled it and withdrew that.

A good Christmas so far...!

Free spins from Royal Vegas/Ladbroke`s, spin the wheel stuff from 32Red and a £10 NDB from Gnuf, my best ever to date was 2-3 years ago from Virgin a daily draw that cost a few V points, I won the prize for the 22nd, a gift voucher which I exchanged for the cash equivalent and received 2 payments = £400 no restrictions or w/r, username Threelions, that`s a great buzz when you check the days winners and see your name :)

.

I checked Nordicbet. They have several Christmas promotions including for example a calender every day and a spa tournament.

Their calender will give players free spins, tournaments, cash back etc. I especially liked the promotion on December 14th- players will receive 1 free spin on Robin Hood. The player with the highest win on this spin will be awarded with EUR 1000.

bet365 have a promo with prizes like HDTV's, Porsches, trips to the Maldives... but the prizes have to be earned based on comp points from the month so the higher level prizes may not be easy to claim. All players above a certain level get entered into the draw for an Audi TT Roadster, so that would be pretty nice :)

A Porsches is nice, but you have to play like hell to stand a chance.

I took a look at this promotion. I am not familiar with the comp point system at Bet365, but I see that the player must earn 3,000,000 comp points in December to qualify for the draw.

3,000,000 comp points means that the player must wager about EUR 10mill ?

I absolutely HATE these sort of promotions. There geared only for the large depositor and i mean large, recreational players or people who can only play modestly have zero chance of ever winning anything significant.

I think you're right... when you put it like that, it doesn't sound very attainable!

At least you get put in the draw for the Audi TT if you reach level 4 of the promotion, which I believe is around 12,000 wagering...

Playing a few now.

32Red - still going strong, along with Fortune Lounge and GNUF.

Jackpot Factory just hit the buffers - worked fine yesterday, but today it's a let down. Deposited and played 50 as required, but no free spins as promised. This means only day two and already faced with chasing CS down over problems.

Casino UK - complete failure, got today's mailer, but STILL the promotion isn't in the lobby, which is the way you are SUPPOSED to play it.

Red Flush & La Vida - epic fail, been going since 28th November, but software failure means STILL can't opt in via lobby as specified. It isn't even possible to opt in through the mailer, as only the calendar is displayed, which doesn't have enough instructions on each day's promotion, even if I had managed to opt in.

Ladbrokes, can't be arsed to try because they don't apply to Neteller deposits unless all wagered 20x regardless of promotional qualification criteria.

Casino UK, Red Flush, and possibly Jackpot Factory getting uninstalled on 4th, rather than suffer the pain of the next MGS update.

Keeping 32Red, GNUF, Fortune Lounge + the current crop of Casino Rewards casinos as my VIP host has tipped me off that my "bonus ratio" has been increased for December.

Errant software has until the 4th to start working again.

I didn't know you were a VIP at the casinos you frequent vinyl.

Oh and how did you get $35k up at 32Red???

It's not just the potential for bugs, but the fact that each casino can take up to 2 hours to update that has made me set the 4th as the deadline for getting rid of the poor performers, and keeping over Christmas the better ones. I am STILL getting glitches from the last update, including the fix update released recently by MGS. The worst is that sometimes my desktop icons will vanish during the launch process, and the only way to get them back is to "turn the PC off & on again", as the usual "refresh" function simply refreshes the corrupt desktop, which has the top half of the first row of icons on the left hand of the screen up until a quarter screen wdth, and nothing else but the background showing. I also get repeated "game error 511" during Video Poker play, and when closing a game the entire casino freezes and is marked by Windows as "not responding", and has to be forcibly closed by task manager. I have also found that when closing a casino, the process itself fails to unload, and then REALLY causes havoc the next time I launch any other MGS casino.

It is likely that a major uninstall and clean is needed urgently, and only the casinos that have performed as advertised with their Christmas promos are getting back in during the first wave of reinstallation, as this can take HOURS per casino, and also stops the computer from responding to most other tasks, such as web browsing, or even playing already installed casinos.

The problem with promos that don't work on the day is that the promotional period is only a day, so by the time CS have replied and sorted the issues out, it can be too late to actually play the promo. Most say specifically in their terms "cannot be backdated".

It will be more entertaining just to stick with those that work as intended, rather than face repeated contact with CS, who are probably burdened with other players suffering the same problems, making the getting of what could be an extra £2 off a few free spins into over an hour's work.

I am a VIP at quite a number of casinos, not just 32Red.

These include GNUF, Jackpot Factory, Red Flush and Casino Rewards, but NOT including Casino UK. Other than 32Red, the VIP progress is based on deposits and wagering, both past and present.

My play at Red Flush stopped abruptly in March after a loyalty update screwed things up so that I hardly ever got the promotions, and they became intermittent in arrival, and thus unpredictable. This is despite the fact that nothing was supposedly changed in regard to this. I also found CS dismissive of problems that I reported, and frequently filed my issue into the waste paper basket, despite repeated assurances they would get back to me with a reply. They often had "no record of" a previous issue when I was chasing up a lack of reply.
I reinstalled the software for the recent leaderboard contest, but it repeadedly failed to let me opt in, telling me such BS as my screen name was "already taken by another player", even though it had been confirmed by mailer that it was still reserved to me, and I only had to "confirm", rather than choose a new screen name. Now it's failing AGAIN for their "season's winnings". The mailer says "players must opt in via the lobby", but no such option has existed in the lobby from the start on the 28th, until now.

Casino UK is supposed to present an "advent calendar" of sorts in the lobby, which gives the day's event. The lobby has no such thing, and mailers don't give any indication, nor do they provide a link to any calendar of events.

Fortune Lounge have something along the same lines, but their software actually works, and I can link through to the calendar, see what's on, and opt in & play.

I may try again to sort out the Jackpot Factory issue, because it at least worked yesterday, whereas Red Flush and Casino UK have not only never worked, I cannot even start the ball rolling by opting in.

Hey Vinyl try connecting to Casino UK, saying no to buying chips then disconnecting again but leaving client open then reconnecting and saying no to buying chips - advent calender pops up then for me. Been having the same problems as you!! That way works for me.

Also Red flush I cant opt in either and support have been terrible for me also. Got invited via post and email and still havent been able to take part really annoying! But whatever.....

I have to agree that Red Flush support is abysmal. My mother plays and not so long ago she entered one of their competition leader boards, she placed quite highly too but she never saw a penny of the prize she should have got. Admittedly there appeared to have been some form of error on the casinos behalf as she had accumulated more points than were possible with how she plays but an email to support confirmed the error, but that it would be honored as it was their fault. They never followed through nor was anysubsequent emails ever responded too about the issue. I advised her to dump Red flush and actually stick to a reputable casino as in my opinion this outfit is clearly not.

Well, that actually worked.......... once. The second login presented me with the "opt in to the advent calendar", which I did, and it then showed today's offer to be pretty lame. 3x loyalty points on ONE slot only. I tried the trick again to confirm whether opting in had cleared the fault, but this time it again failed to display the pop-up with today's offer. I will try logging in again tomorrow, repeating this trick if nothing shows up first time.

I also tried the same trick with Red Flush in case their opt-in was also on a pop-up, but nothing doing. Couldn't get a pop-up or "Pitboss" slider to activate.

Perhaps this is yet another of the bugs introduced when MGS screwed up the update, and one not fixed by the later patch. It seems to cause intermittent failure of the "message of the day" lobby pop-up, and if casinos are carrying key stages for their promotions on it, it's failure means some players cannot participate.

I do realise that uninstalling all MGS casinos, common cache, registry keys etc, and reinstalling from scratch has a good chance of clearing these issues, but the sheer TIME this would take would leave me out of play for days, not hours, until I could get the entire portfolio installed and updated.

I plan to do this anyway as soon as the last component for my PC refurb turns up - a new hard drive. One has died, and the system drive is on a go-slow. Because of this, I don't want to have to do it twice by acting now because of the current problems.

I will stick with the casinos who's Christmas promos I can get to work under the current configuration.

This could be an icon cache problem, when/if it happens again try this........

1. Close all folder windows that are currently open.

2. Launch Task Manager.

3. In the Process tab, right-click on the Explorer.exe process and select End Process.

4. Click the End process button when asked for confirmation.

5. From the File menu of Task Manager, select New Task (Run…)

6. Type CMD.EXE, and click OK

7. In the Command Prompt window, type the commands one by one and press ENTER after each command:

CD /d %userprofile%\AppData\Local

DEL IconCache.db /a

EXIT

8. In Task Manager, click File, select New Task (Run…)

9. Type EXPLORER.EXE, and click OK.

If the problem persists create a new user account and see if this cures it, if it does you have a corrupt user profile.

Hope this helps ;).

P.S.

Have you recently lost icons in your browser bookmarks also?.

Is this any different from the "TweakUI" powertoy? This has a "repair icon cache" tool, which I think does the same thing.

I have noticed that when I launch the software, the desktop seems to refresh all it's icons in some kind of "flicker", and it is at the end of this that sometimes they don't come back. It seems to be somthing in the MGS software that does something to the desktop as a whole, even though it should only be operating in it's own window. I have noticed this before, but this is the first time it has wrecked my desktop. I notice that the new "pitboss" slider for "Immortal Romance - coming soon" also causes the desktop as a whole to flicker.

It looks like the client is messing with global OS settings during the launch process, rather than just those for it's own window.

I do not believe the software should even touch such settings, as this can lead to it crashing other open applications through the creation of conflicts.

It seems to happen often enough that I should be able to verify whether any particular fix has made a difference.

I checked and repaired the icon cache a short while ago, and the check came back "no issues", but I repaired it anyway.

I will look into this being an icon cache problem, and maybe try the repair steps next time it happens.

Sometimes when you launch a programme the desktop refreshes itself, however, if your desktop icon cache is not set high enough this can cause problems, the remedy I gave is a basic windows repair method and not a powertoy remedy, I sometimes use the fix-its from here though.

Try 121 and 157 i`m pretty confident one or both of these will help you ;).

I do not think this is a direct problem caused by MGS but one that exposes a problem you have, and believe me there is nothing better than software updates/patches for exposing such problems......

I`m pretty confident also that you have the latest GFX-card drivers so I will not insult your intelligence by suggesting this lol ;).

Once again hope this helps.

Complete derail, Tom Hanks should not have played the lead role in The Da Vinci Code, 1st time i`ve seen the film, not a patch on the book.

Casino Euro (netent) have an advent calendar with different prizes each day.

Todays offering is wager 20 euros on any of their live casino games to be entered into a prize draw for an iPad2.

Tnc:

Wager a minimum of 20 euros on any product in live casino and you're automatically qualified for the draw
Only valid till 23:59 CET
The daily winner will be selected at random within 24 hours after todays calendar draw

You can check their homepage for the calendar I think.

I have a new card, earmarked for install once the remaining new component turns up for the refurb. There is a later set of drivers for the current card, but Windows rejects them as "unsigned", which deterred me from proceeding, as I would have expected an official set of AMD drivers to be properly signed.

I have used the Kelly's Corner tweaks before on my Windows 98 machine, but couldn't find a direct match to the icon cache size increase for XP. The windows 98 powertoy has it, but the XP version only has the repair.

I am sure I already maxed out the cache size by finding a site showing the relevant direct registry edits, but it doesn't seem to have made a difference, the desktop is still refreshing.

After the refurb, it will be a complete OS reinstall on a new, faster, boot drive. I will not use the Dell partition due to it being stuffed with out of date crapware such as AOL internet wizard and free McAfee from 2006!

Ths makes it a little harder, as the install disks supplied do not have even the USEFUL bundled software, so I will have to select the ones I use, and install them separately. I have done this before on my 98 machine, more than once, and also on another XP machine with mixed results (I found crapware somehow snuck back in, and old files from the previous install were left behind). I expect to have to do it again:mad:

Back to the promos.

Jackpot Factory is sorted, you only get the free spins once per WEEK!!!!! So only 3 lots, not a daily promo like the rest. Boy that is TIGHT!

Casino UK failed again, couldn't load today's advent calendar offer, even using the trick of launch, connect, disconnect, reconnect that worked to present the opt-in scheme. Red Flush is also still broken, no way to opt in.

32Red, stellar performance. Today was lucky draw for a telly, and in a way I won it;)
I had been depositing in lots of £200 trying to annoy the fruit machines into paying out something decent. After a series of prods, and keeping them up til 2am, they finally gave in and popped. Both Cops & Robbers and the Hippo had a total of 4K wrestled from then over a series of bonus rounds (well, one top feature on Cops, and half a dozen lower winspins on the Hippo, the first of which tried to trick me by giving me loads of cherries and bars off 15 spins for an insulting £500 or so).

Withdrew the 4K in the small hours, and got paid two hours ago into my Neteller:thumbsup: That's a blistering 8 hours turnaround at the weekend, which is indeed "second to none";) 4K is a better prize than the telly, so in a way I have won the draw before it has even taken place:D

PS - that link for Kelly's corner doesn't work. 503 DNS error, server not found.

try disconnect/reconnecting and saying no to buying chips more than once on casino uk vinyl, sometimes takes a couple of goes but it will pop up eventually...

Today/tomorrow they are doing 5% back on losses

In other news I STILL cant opt into red flush lol

Is that really worth the effort, given that Royal Vegas are offering a 10% bonus on all deposits, and Jackpot Factory give 10% up to a monthly limit even when NO other promos are running.

Damn VWM sounds like you have a whole heap of crap going on there, I think a fresh windows install is the best way, no matter what always partition your hard drive you can do this via instalment anyway`s, I always split mine into at least 3, keep C for your OS and programmes, E for casinos and F for your goat porn :p, that way if you get problems you don`t lose all your personal stuff just re-format C and re-install windows etc.

Another tip which you probably know anyway is when installing make sure the recovery console is a boot option, by far the best windows repair tool, system restore is okay but if it`s a virus problem you are pretty much fubared anyway.

On a sidenote do you use hijackthis?, as it looks like you have a malware problem or two there also, appears your hosts file is affected.

One more tip, after your instalment, increase your page file and allot your page file to one of your partitions (a lot quicker if you use a drive with hardly any data in it I use my F drive)........

PF.webp

Also, gratz on the fruities clean up, and sorry for the derail :).

P.S.

If you wanted to try those fix it`s for the link you cannot use PM me your email and I will d/l them for you and mail them, in the mean time see if you can access this site and d/l the error 503 fix-it....

I'd love to, but Microgaming doesn't give you any choice. It's C:\microgaming\casinos\ possibly the WORST place to install programs, and guaranteed to wear out any SSD being used as an OS boot drive. It USED to be possible to put all Microgaming casinos wherever you wanted by selecting "custom install", and specifying a location. (I have been wondering whether there might be a "hack" to circumvent this restriction, and allow MGS casinos to be installed in a directory chosen by the user, as used to be the case).

The problems all started when the D: drive died (I can hear it clicking, and it can't be accessed via Windows). This is why I am having to wait for the new hard drive to arrive before I can do the reinstall, with the current C: drive then becoming the D: drive.

The flooding in the far east has generated a world shortage of hard drives, and it has been on order for a month already. I had also ordered a new D: drive, but Amazon cancelled the order after a month "unable to source". I can buy a "piece of crap" from Currys, but it has had poor reviews, yet is only £10 cheaper. Everything else is here already, even the basic tool kit and air duster.

I even got a new PSU for good meaasure, to replace the 305w unit currently installed. The graphics card recommends "400w minimum", so I thought "might as well". I have also read that an under rated PSU can be the root cause of many odd looking problems in using a PC, and that their output efficiency falls over time, so mine may not even be delivering it's rated 305w any longer.

I also suspect the current graphics card struggles with HD, which is what MGS casinos are now using for the lobby and many games. The only thing that should still be managing OK is the processor, as I went for the top option supported by the motherboard when I bought the PC.

After this, the next step WILL have to be a brand new PC.

I hope to test the MPV tournaments again after all this to see if I can get back the kind of performance I once had before the lobby upgrades slowed everything right down.

Doh forgot about MGS and their obsession with being installed directly into C drive (blame the J.D. I bought for xmas but drank it last night, just knew that would happen).

As far as PSU`s units go, they can do some weird conflict stuff especially with CD/DVD drives, I find that having these on their own power lead with nothing else on the chain cures this problem.

Anyway`s gl with this ;).

I may need it. I have only changed RAM and cards before, and a hard drive upgrade on my old Win 98 machine. A PSU is a new step, although hopefully not a drastic one. I went for 600w, to give some leeway above the 400w minimum recommended for the new graphics card.

I didn't want to pay for over specified upgrades that wouldn't really work to their full potential on this motherboard, so did some looking around the internet first. I changed my mind quite a few times as new information came to light, or what looked good seemed to have many "geeks" complaining it turned out to be a disappointment when they tried it.

I also found that there is a simple tool available for overclocking an AMD card from within the Windows environment without any need to start fiddling around with BIOS. Sadly, the easy option for the processor is NOT supported on my board's NVIDIA chipset, so no need to buy a fan kit (yet).

If I am going to fiddle around at this level, it will have to be on a PC that I can afford to screw up, so will probably wait till I get a new one, and then I can more freely experiment on this one to see how far it can be stretched, but without a four figure sum going up in smoke if something ends up getting fried during the learning experience, not to mention a total loss of access to my favourite casinos for an unspecified period.

32 Red

WISH US PLAYERS COULD PLAY THERE. CAN NOT FIND A GOOD US SITE YET

Here is hoping they treat me good this year. My play has been strong at:

Bodog
Slotastic
Club World
InetBet
Sloto

If most follow the same MO as with Birthday bonuses, I doubt I'll see much.

Nice work there on the fruities....what was your net profit?

I just upgraded my pc with a 600w PSU, a new MB with Intel quadcore, 500GB HD, NVIDIA 2GB GPU and 4 GB RAM. Best thing I ever did and it only cost me $500.

You will notice the difference even with just a decent GPU.

Well, I had put around 2K in 32Red recently before this hit, so estimate net profit to be between 1K and 2K. I about 1K further ahead than my previous personal best at 32Red. My lifetime profit at 32Red is a different matter altogether, almost 40K ahead:D

I was almost 10K ahead some years ago, but a series of unlucky sessions with few withdrawals ended with me being some 17K down - and then the Pirate Ship found the mother lode, and I shot way ahead:D

Ladbrokes are offering me my usual weekly bonus of £15 and 20 free 0.30 spins on SWR this month(min 20 deposit 80 turnover to qualify)

Also they are offering 35 free spins on TS2 at 1.50 a spin when I deposit and turnover £50 on any of there top 10 of the year slots, this is weekly also . So easily qualifying for both at the same time with a 50 deposit and playing TS2 or LOTR for a few hundred spins.

£15 paid to cash account, winnings from free spins on SWR 10XWR and winnings from TS2 free spins 4XWR which is excellent!

I try the santa promotion to day at 32red! nothing special ... 50 spins .... 14.59 win!

I did pretty well with SWR. Managed to hit free spins, and ended my spins with a little over $90. As Club Rouge, spins were at 3 coins.

Although I did clear the WR, I probably should have played them after my own funds, so as to not tie up my deposit with a WR.

Nope,

As promised, I uninstalled them on Sunday ahead of the Immortal Romance release. It is a chunky update, and it seems casinos are updating TWICE OVER, and thus it is taking even longer to get the update into the casinos currently installed.

The ones I did yesterday are starting over today when launched, so I am back to square 1, despite having spent some 6 hours solid yesterday running updates.

Seasons winnings

Hi Guys,

I have to jump in here as I am not aware of any technical difficulties with the promotions. Please send me your details in a PM and I will sort it out right away.

Best regards,
Wayne
