Bad experience!

Dormant account
  :(

I just have to write to you and tell you what happened to me today at INTERCASINO.

They have a progressive jackpot game called Rags to Riches. That Ive heard so much about. The only problem for me was that I had never enough money to keep on playing "rags to riches". Last time I played I couldnt efford the $3 bet to get the bonus wheel.I ll tell you, its really frustrated when you get the 3 "rags to riches symbols" and you are only betting $1! So No bonus Wheel for me that time.

But today I worked my way up to a nice sum of $200 in total, played from a deposit of $25 . It took me a while but finally I thought I had enough to play the game that I heard so much about. I didnt expect to win the jackpot!

I was really exited when I got my first spin of the bonus wheel. ... but.... I got the lowest winning of them all.. $10 ! Well, well I thought maybe it will turn, all of the other players who reviewed this game, they all Cannot be wrong!
Now I was down to under $100 and it kept on falling.
I didnt get more than a few $12 winnings at. And remember the bet was $3!

But I wanted another spin at the "Rags to Riches Bonus Wheel" and I was sure I would get better winnings this time. So .. finally it came .. my second spin at the wheel.... and.... it stopped at $15 dollars! I couldnt believe it ! But kept on playing and loosing my whole sum.
It took me about half an hour to loose my hard earned cash of $200 that I really could (should) have been using on my bills instead

Not only did I loose $200, but it was really a dissapointment playing the game that I really thought would be something extra!! ..... be aware of Inter Casinos "RAGS TO RICHES"

p.s If you have any questions or experiences you would like to share... youre welcome to email me if you like or post a reply here at the forum. d.s

thank you for your time

God whats up with people these days, did you think the wheel would land on a few hundread each time or something, i think the most i ever hit on rags to riches was about $50 or something, i very rarely play it, if you needed your money for bills you shoudln't of been gambling it away.

Sounds alot like Micro's Wheel of Wealth or Spectacular Wheel of Wealth. I don't play them too often, cause they're $3 and $2 a spin respectively. But once in a while, I do get the urge. I think out of all the times I've played I won $600 one time, all the others, never more than $50 max. And I've seen my balance drop from $1000 to $500 in no time. But hey, that's gambling. People seem to forget it's called gambling, not winning. There's been so many times I've been mad at myself for continuing to spin a slot that is so obviously not paying out at that time. I think that maybe the one you're mad at is yourself, and not the casino. JMO.

I have played the wheel of wealth and ended up a couple thousand ahead - over two days.

Ever since I have hit nothing higher than $50 on it.

Yes, that is gambling. :p

I disagree Rags is not a bad game, the wheel may not pay much although I have hit $200 but I have hit the 3 hats as well as the "hobo suitcase" a few times, and for wheel of wealth it is usually ok, one day on the same game I hit the $1000, $800 and $600. Its never fun loosing your money but it sounds like sour grapes to me.

Lucky bugger, lol. There's some games I love, but just couldn't win if my life depended on it. Then there's others that are just so good to me, it's freaky. I usually end up building up a nice bankroll on the goodies, then blowing it on the ones that hate me, all the while convinced that "this time" I'm gonna beat it, lmaooo....

Hey Jones, you're in B.C.? Lucky bugger again, lol. I love B.C. It's probably the most beautiful province in our country. :)

Pina I know how lucky I am I am from the TO area, I am going to be in Cambridge on the week of the 7th cant wait for all that lovely humidity.

But today I worked my way up to a nice sum of $200 in total, played from a deposit of $25 .

Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain

Yep Jones, you'd best prepare yourself. Last week was actually beautiful here, but starting yesterday the humidity reappeared, and we are well into the 40's again. Not to mention the air quality, or lack of it. Neither myself or my little one even go outside in this unless absolutely necessary. Maybe it will be okay for you when you come to Ontario, I'll cross my fingers for ya.

And KK, yep that's me, and I don't think I'll ever change. I'm like the little engine that "thinks' he can, lol. :)

Bad experience

Thank you all for your answers, even though they were not what I needed that day. I guess they were true, and now that it has been a while I can see it too. Sorry for making you part of my lousy day. And my dissapointment of loosing. :o

But i want to comment on Chucos reply and I quote: "Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain"
I really dont understand your last sentence but I think you will have to read my thred once more since this wasnt my "bad experience" I tried to share with you.

Anyways .... as you said, you were right: "that Is what gamblings all about". We have an expression in Sweden that goes: "om du ger dig in i leken fr du leken tla" in english that means something like this: If you play the game_(want to win the game) youll have to stand loosing the game... or something like that.

Bttre lycka nsta gng*

I advise you not to gamble amounts that will make you very frustrated if you lose, even if you can afford to lose it. This may cause you to do stupid things like trying to "win back" money, and then gambling can turn into a pretty scary experience.

*better luck next time

That's the nature of the game. A game with a big progressive jackpot will have a poor payout to those who don't win the jackpot. That's why the game can have a big jackpot.

Did you think the game was +EV?

If you don't want to lose a vast majority of the sessions, stay away from games with big jackpots and play the games that have smaller wins instead. Then you will win more frequently.
If you can't stand losing at all, don't gamble.

Welcome to the mind game of gambling.

I have on occasions a couple years ago, put $500 through a $5 slot machine, hit for some small amounts maybe once or twce but it was gone soo fast. $3 a spin is a lot, with a $200 bankroll. I personally hate slot machines with a passion. But if you are going to play them, be smart.

The only way to do it is with a stuctured shut down an quit strategy. Play X number of spins, if you are not up by X amount or down by more than Y amount force yourself to quit. Or drive yourself mad wondering if that next pull would have been the jackpot.

"Bad experience - turned to a valuable lesson"

Since I cannot seem to find my thank you post to your replies I am sending it again.

Thank you all for your answers, even though they were not what I needed that day. I guess they were true, and now that it has been a while I can see it too. I AM SORRY for making you part of my lousy day! And my dissapointment of loosing.
But one thing though that I would like to comment on Chucos reply and I quote: "Your post is headlined "bad experiance" If turning a $25 deposit into $200 is a bad experiance, then I would love to see a good one. So you gambled, won, but then did not quite while you were ahead and not complain" ..

I will stay away from the jackpots slots in the future, and I promise I wont post anything to the forum after me loosing my money at the casinos ;)
