Yes there have been some recent developments. Sorry for not updating. It was already discussed in the thread I have going at Winner Online:

Our caruso has been looking into this case and, through his diligent efforts, was able to get a hold of the person in chare of the PR for Playtech's IPO launch. He gave this person my details and was promised that my case would be taken to Playtech for review. Hopefully, we will hear something back from this next week.

I only wanted a $1000 cashout an I it was taken away for bonus abuse even though I more than met the wagering. Playtech contacted me after I sent them a few e-mails and the reply I received was that, "African Palace said they worked out a resolution for this problem" If their resolution is we will not pay you then I guess they did work it out.

IF any playtech casino operators read this than you should take an interest in this as I am not playing at any playtech casino till this issue is fixed. How can I trust playtech to settle disputes with other casinos using their software if they can't fix this? Hate to group all PLAYTECHS into one group but its my money so I can in protest.

The FT journalist who originally reported on the float asked me to keep him in the loop if things don't work out, so either way things should happen.

Although it'll bust my nuts to see 80,000,000 of public money going to the people behind so many player funds-confiscation issues, it won't be a bad thing for the players themselves since I'm pretty certain that at that point Playtech will become criminally liable in some shape or form, and will be persuable in the UK courts. Granted it's technically about the licensees and not Playtech themselves, but if this stuff gets out where it matters I think Playtech will probably have to settle all claims one way or another, be it out of court or in.

It'll certainly suck for the "instituational investors" if the share price ends up taking a tumble.

update...

Caruso reports that the PR representative at Playtech he contacted did not get back to him with any progress on my case. He now feels it is fruitless to continue working this angle.

Enough with Playtech. It's quite clear to me by now that they have no desire to police the actions of their licencee African Palace. Very sad, not just for me but for every other new player that gets sucked in there.

This is NOT over. We WILL continue to take this story to other media outlets in an effort to warn as many players as possible about this place. Continue to watch this thread for updates.

Kind of fuels the fire for the anti-gambling briagde, doesn't it? Software provider on the verge of hitting the UK stockmarket, with undisputed debt to one single player for $30,000. Self-regulation at its best, LMAO.

These people certainly know how to shoot themselves in the foot. Shouldn't they be looking to at least do a bit of image-wallpapering at this time (if not a genuine effort to clean up) by prioritising customer service?

Isn't this the exact opposite of what they're doing?

Or does AP / Indio somehow assume they'll be able to just carry on regardless through it all?

Anyone feel like mentioning this to them?

Some of you may remember me some time ago from such threads as "African Palace stole my money", and "African Palace are a load of *****"". For those who don't, I was owed €5000 from this outfit, and spent a long time making sure I got my money, which ended with calls to Playtech Marketing Director's mobile (hello Iris if you are reading), visits to the Playtech stand at various trade shows (yeah it was me who changed your screen savers and then the passwords), and ended by threatening to go to the national newspapers.

I got my money, and now I even make a little more from my sly purchase of Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) , which redirects to my own casino portal (Bryan if this breaks forum links rules accept my apology and email me).

Anyway, i've been away from this forum for a fair old while, due to the stress of the African Palace problems, and just wanted to check in to say to everyone owed money- it is possible, you can get your money back, just keep at it. And if anyone wants any advice on more specific tactics I can't mention on here (not illegal, just polite to keep it off forum, phone numbers etc), then let me know.

Good luck everyone

TJ

PS- My offer stands- if any of you lot are good at SEO etc, then i'm happy for the africanpalace.co.uk redirect to be used for an anti- African Palace purpose. If it will help counter the PR being put out by them and maybe rank high in Google, then i'm happy to put something else up (though will include a link to my site)

Hi Sookie, how you doing? How's 32 red treating you these days? Respectfully like the high roller you are? And African? Or shouldn't I ask??

I'm not a techie at all- I run this portal with a friend, and it makes literally a few $ a month (more of a bonus portal really), so the AP redirect helps a little bit, but as I said, if anyone wants to design a landing page etc, be my guest, i'm happy to host something (within reason)- I think well written stories about people's nightmares would be more useful, or even just a few links back to CM telling people to read them before making a decison. As I said, i'm happy for anything so long as it's legal, not too defamatory, and has a link or two/ banners to my site, as i'd like one or two decent and happy high rollers this side of 2009.

As for me, i've switched to the real casino. I play for £5 a hand, lose or win around £200 a night on a Saturday night, get fed and watered and the dealers all act like they fancy me, just as they are paid to do. And guess what, when I win they give me my money there and then, no ID, no waiting, no phone calls, no forums. Madness

What you should do is instead of redirecting that URL to your portal, is to set up an information page on how players can solve their problems if they have any at African Palace etc. Links to Playtech, here, Antigua, wherever. There should be nothing derogatory - just straight forward informative stuff to assist wayward players (or ones smart enough to google African Palace).

Redirecting to a portal seems too opportunist.

Point taken about the lack of African Palace warnings - that page DOES seem a heaven-sent opportunity to get the information out which is not being best utilised. There should be a link to the facts about African Palace / Indio, high up on the left hand menu, or even better planted directly on the homepage.

However:

Top marks to you, TJ. Yours is the perfect example of what players need to be prepared to do to collect their rightfully-owed money - action all the way. And as we see: it works.

May others now follow your lead.

at WOL. The last one lasted about three days in the job before throwing up his hands in exasperation. Maybe this one will stay the course and sort things out.

I recall it was the arrival of a new affiliate manager that resulted in the final resolution of the Angelciti debacle.

Thanks for the heads up. This new development does seem encouraging.

I have just emailed Paskaran with my details and am waiting to hear back.

Good luck to all the other affected players.

Hmm, that's very odd, because I know for a fact that on January the 15th at least that entry read differently, with the "issues being resolved" (or something like that) message. I know that because I contacted someone on that date, which was when I first noticed it, about their issue, curious as I was to apparently learn that all matters were in hand. I have the communication date-stamped accordingly.

Anyway, looking forward to updates from either the affiliate manager or the player.

Nope, make that February 17th.

I think that date must have got a bit out of wack in the software, Bryan. Never mind, not an issue. Important it reads like it does. :)

:) I'm liking the new management

Well, it's been 10 months since I won at African Palace and alas, their new rep Parastan, is a definite step in the right direction. He is very responsive. I got his IM (instant messenging address) from his profile on here. Couldn't believe he had it on here. When I added him to my contact list and saw him pop up I immediately asked him about my remaining withdrawal, and he got it to me.

I'm not jumping up and down or anything, after all the hell I went through to get my money, but my experience with Parastan was the experience I should have gotten from day one.

Three cheers for throwing out Denver and David....old management...losers

Casinomeister, I told you David was a loser, even Paristan admits that old management was dishonest, and that's why they are no longer there.

Again, I'm not saying the experience wasn't painful. It was. But I prey for the sake of everyone that they are now back on track.

Good luck everyone getting their money. SDADDY are you paid in full yet?

This is new affiliate management, not new management-management - unless you know something I don't. As far as I know, management here has not changed.

Nice one; hopefully a portent of things to come.

Not yet. There are still some things to work out, but I agree that Paskaran has been sincere in his efforts to help. I hope that for all parties involved I can report a successful resolution soon.

So sookie you're saying that David, the accounts manager, is gone? I spoke with him just a week ago about my case. I had been trying to reach him this week but no luck.

The Playtech float is imminent, according to the latest Casinomeister news.

Although bad news for anyone with an ounce of general integrity and sense of fair play, this IS reasonably good news for the screwed players as it adds another layer of backup.

Online casino software provider Playtech, newly admitted to the UK AIM, unresponsive and apparently indifferent to undisputed $30,000 winnings claim.

I like that headline. :)
