African Palace Casino STOLE my money

sdaddy said:
In November 2004, Neteller very creditably agreed to step in and started investigating this case. After several more months, the casino management finally proposed a settlement of $28,740 for the two accounts, which I agreed to in the interest of resolving this case.

The best option here might be Neteller, because the casino is specifically welching on a deal with them.

I know Bryan has contacts high up, another forum member knows one "Colin", and I have a good contact from a Neteller issue I had a while back (assuming he's still there).

Seems to me that between us we can make something happen.

Update: African Palace Casino management has been alerted to this thread, and I specifically asked them to come here to respond to these serious accusations I have made. We shall see what happens...

Well, my contact there worked pretty hard trying to get the casino to live up to its agreement. I know she went to the higher-ups about this to try to get something done (like maybe punitive action). But if you think you can put me in touch with someone who can do more, then let me know.

Glad to see someone else (not glad to see but glad you can relate) to how I feel. This place needs to be removed from business.

Good luck with getting your money - and you're right I'd shoot for every penny you rightfully won!

What a disgrace!
Thanks
Hi sookie. Yes indeed, I feel your pain. Thanks for your support. Frankly, it would be nice if there were a little more outrage here about this. I mean, it's pretty whacked when we spend more time on this board bitching about unwanted $50 bonuses than a player who has nearly $30K confiscated. (End of rant.)

Hi sdaddy, I just wanted to comment that I think there is plenty of outrage on this board regarding this particular Playtech issue, as well as others. I'd hardly call a 16 page thread ignoring the problem. But you have to remember that each case is relative to each person. A player not getting paid $1,000 is just as important as a player not getting paid $30,000, if both claims are legitimate. I really don't think anyone is overlooking you or this thread or any of these issues, but there is a ton of stuff that goes on here every single day....and more than just unwanted bonuses. I truly wish you the best of luck in getting your money...and only wish that more people would come here and read PRIOR to playing at any casino. {Sigh} :)

Hey, I thought I'd lighten up this thread a little bit and copy here African Palace's "Values and Principles" from its website. The ones in bold are my favorites. As Bryan would say, I wonder how many bong hits they had when they were writing this.

Values and Principles

At African Palace Casino we believe that the only way we can sustain our success is by focusing on the founding principles of our organization : to treat our Members the same way we would expect to be treated.

Being affiliated with the leading online gaming software company, Playtech, we understand that we cannot be successful if our Members are not winning. For us a winner is not a sinner.
Winners are our ambassadors to the world!

Fundamental Values and Principles

We believe that everyone should be free to do as they choose, so long as they don't infringe upon the freedom of others.

We respect the individual. We believe that individuals who are treated with respect respond in kind.

We insist on complete honesty and integrity in everything we do.

We do what we say and we say what we do. We always live up to our commitments.

We believe that your complaints and suggestions bring out the best in us, by allowing us to continually improve.

We insist on giving our best effort in everything we undertake.

We strive to be friendly and courteous, as well as fair and compassionate.

We believe in the Golden Rule and treat you the way we would like to be treated.

We take any and all matters related to our Members very seriously and with a sense of urgency and responsibility.

We believe that Gambling is entertainment, and it should be fun.

We believe in the Golden Rule and treat you the way we would like to be treated.

I sincerely think you would be treated better at McDonald's buying a Happy Meal...oops, that's the Golden Arch rule.

That is truly funny sdaddy, hypocrisy at it's finest. Make sure you keep the thread updated as to any progress. Lots of us don't always post in these threads, but I bet almost everyone checks occasionally to see what's going on with these cases.

Best of luck to ya!

Talking of hamburger joints, that might be a better industry for these African Palace/Indio guys - they are clearly unsuited and unfamiliar with reputable online gambling practice.

• We insist on giving our best effort in everything we undertake, not necessarily with the way we conduct our business, rather in our personal hobbies.

• We strive to be friendly and courteous, just not all the time. Depends on what side of the bed we get out of...

• We believe in the Golden Rule that you may be wanted to be treated a certain way, but we'll treat how we want to, when we're damn well good and ready.

• We take any and all matters related to our Members very seriously and with a sense of "laissez-faire" urgency and responsibility.

• We believe that Gambling is entertainment, and it should be fixed... errr fun.

• We believe that all players should only listen to TOTO 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

Geez, you REALLY got be careful when reading the fine print.

Oh JohnSteed, we're not in Kansas anymore, lol..... I like your list.

Somehow Jetset I think they may not even do a Big Mac justice. Career change is a stellar idea though.

Merci beaucoup. But the "TOTO" reference was the band from South Africa ('82 Grammy Winners), not the dog from Kansas. Boy, now that would be annoying, having to listen to some dog barking in your ear 24/7...

Haha, that list is too funny!
What I find to be -really- odd at this Casino is that they actually lcome across like a truly decent outfit with a very nice looking website and software design, an existing newsletter and decent customer support.

Unfortunately... They just do not pay.

Thanks, Pinababy. Glad you enjoyed that. I'm sure it won't be too hard to keep more good material coming on these guys.

Well at least they have good taste, right? I'm sure they bought something real nice with my money.

And Caruso I think the folks at African Palace may be feeling the negative attention of this and are trying to get their message on Google also. Another highly-ranked search result is a press release from yesterday by their holding company, First Grand Gaming, through the site PR Leap.

Shes been with the casino for about 4 months and has been an avid supporter of the slot machines, more exclusively - The Chinese Kitchen.

When asked about her feelings towards African Palace Online Casino, Janis P said that she had enjoyed the convenient game play and was simply ecstatic about her win of R17,982.87 from her mere R200 deposit.

There's a thought - if Curacao is "ethical" they should be prepared to assist, too. This is an article about this jurisdiction and its CEO Herman Behr:

Yeah, right - like sdaddy here after his experiences!

They have paid me in installments

3k a month. This actually violates their terms of use because I was a one year player with them January 2006, yet they continue to pay me in installments of 3k per month. I will say that I'm just about paid off though.

This does not mean they are off the hook. In my opinion, as a regular VIP player, this is absolutely the last place I would ever play in my life again. Not when there's places like 32RED that pay you within 24 hours.

I've waited so far 9 months now to get paid in installments, and I'm still not fully paid.

Would you rather wait a year to get paid, or 24 hours? Since we all know the answer to that, we all know also not to play at African Palace or Indio Casino. They'll be happy to take five times the amount you win instantly, but when it's time to pay, you'll have to take it (and beg and bitch at someone for it) in installments.

This place is an absolute disgrace to the online gaming industry.

sookie,
It's good to see that you're ordeal here is about over. And I know from reading this thread that other aggrieved players were paid, if slowly. But let's examine what's going on...

I see a definite pattern here. The larger your withdrawal, the more hassle you're going to go through. Probably my withdrawal was the largest this casino had to deal with. And that's why I've been targeted for the worst treatment. It's pretty shrewd actually. Instead of having many players continuing to be up in arms, just limit it to the smallest number possible and still have a great impact on your cash flow.

Doesn't seem like it matters how much you win

at African Palace, just the fact that you win, you are treated like a criminal from the moment that screen lights up with a jackpot. I know stories of people that waited forever for 3K, 5k. Don't know what your story was, tried to search for it, but if your jackpot was bigger than mine, I can only imagine how long you've waited.

Love to hear your story though. I'm sure I can relate....

Again, they treated me great until I won. Reminds me of a comedian, Buddy Hackett, that once said...."You habloed great when I had the money you had the chips. Now it's time to cash in, and suddenly they no hablo inglés anymore."

That's them....as soon as you win, you can't find anyone that wants to even talk to you.
