WARNING Affiliates Who Target Problem Gamblers

I know it seems far to big a coincidence that we were promoting conquestador but I can send and will send Duncan pretty clear evidence that it was a complete and 100% coincidence and that our partnership with them couldn’t have happened at a worst time to make it look like it wasn’t. I will send Duncan the correspondence and evidence to clarify this which shows we had no idea when we started our affiliate relationship with them that they were not on gamstop. I know this is offcourse our fault for not checking but as I stated earlier I genuinely believed every UK licensed casino had to be a gamstop as a fundamental prerequisite to hold a license and had no idea any uk license casino could operate without being on Gamstop.

I’ll leave it with a Duncan if he feels that the evidence should be shared here.

See to be fair to you, the UKGC did say they would make it mandatory as of July this year in some of their publications but it's not transpired and I know it's because they are not fully satisfied that it's as effective as it should be. It seems like the old Agile method of most viable product and developing it from there. Fair play to you for coming on and explaining.

Also spoke to Conquestador as a separate act today and they confirmed that they are at testing stage with Gamstop as suggested by you. Hopefully they will be on soon and can put all this bad press behind them.

Just to let all know, the GiG Affiliates team has taken appropriate action and terminated this affiliate's account as well as requested the removal of our brands; it appears he was not actively sending us any players, but we have taken the necessary precautions regardless. We too were unaware of this affiliate’s unethical practice, and since being notified of our presence on their recommended UK casino page we have taken action. GiG will not tolerate nor condone this behavior and are committed to ensuring our players’ wellbeing. And thanks to Casinomeister for flagging this!

No idea how your GIG Comply tool exactly works, but maybe notify guys who are managing that about this thread. It's very used tool with many big operators using it, so it to recognize this kind of keywords (or what so ever, i'm useless in any SEO etc... stuff) would in future spot these with very good coverage as so many affiliate sites get scanned through that tool based on news on your site how many customers you have signed to use it.

Yeah they said that to me 3 months ago when my issues started. How long does it reasonably take?

They use misleading and innacurate terminology in their emails regarding verification and AML/CDD. Their answer “it’s a learning curve”
They allowed me to play without sufficient verification.

Not bing on GamStop is purely a tool to access problem gamblers and I have it in writing that they aren’t on it due to your mentioned testing phase (seems to be taking longer than testing for the Atom bomb) and also they are not legally obliged to be.

Caring for the community at its finest.

Totally understand your concerns. However Conquestador in their defence did not say they were on Gamstop, did pass the test against appropriate Verification checks which I conducted and went into some detail with checking before allowing activity on account. Can only give my own experience. Its casinos who do not abide by their own rules and those of the LCCP I am looking at and Conquestador, for all the morality or not with Gamstop, are abiding by the terms of their licence.

I’ll send you info if you like to suggest my experience was totally different

In defence of Fruity after reading this thread I went onto u tube and watched his stream from 2 days ago the banner at the bottom of the stream was advertising the casino you lot are all gabbing about yet right beside the banner was the Gamstop logo.
Which would make anyone watching without any knowledge think that the said casino was signed up.34D3D6DC-1A69-4AB5-870F-ADB319F9C8A7.png

I was under the impression that streamers and affiliates are obliged to have the GamStop, 18+ stuff on their pages/streams now.

Maybe @dunover can clarify this as I know he did a good piece on YouTube about why he was pulling out of the real game play videos etc.

Also some people may take that screen as “yep they are on GamStop” but others will still look out of curiosity and then possibly be in a world of trouble.

I can’t see how they can be forced to have it showing when the UKGC hasn’t set a date for all casinos to be registered.

As I say, I’m not 100% sure but most if not all reputable streamers/affiliates have these logos etc on their platforms so they are all doing it through good nature or there is possibly an obligation to do so.

Someone in the know will clarify I’m sure

Yes, you re supposed to have begambleaware which seems to be the industry standard RG awareness soundbite, you get it on all radio and TV ads and I have it on my YT banner as do most YT slots channels. I also include their link in all casino ads on my site, plus as you say the 18+. GamStop is not commonly used as that's one specific programme rather than begambleaware which has a full library of information and help links including GamStop, i.e. it's an umbrella site for the general issues including debt, exclusion etc.

I stopped real-money play as I felt it was imminent that using casino backgrounds, mentioning casinos and actually gambling would be sanctioned by YT, although that hasn't materialized yet despite some affiliate programmes sending mails out regarding YT standards they expect affiliates to meet. As I have a lot of website content on YT, much of which is here with new slots reviews, I didn't want to risk what happened before and get any strikes leading to closure which leaves gaps in threads on here, plus sites which use the videos. I was playing safe, but it seems so far I was being over-cautious.

P.S. as far as I know the CAP and UKGC do require begambleaware and 18+ warnings. This is why it's in all the crucial terms affiliate programmes supply to us, but there's no official requirement for GamStop links or logos, possibly for the reasons above, it's incorporated into begambleaware.

Wow, poor fruity!

Why is everyone so quick to condemn? I would give most people the benefit of the doubt in the first instance, after all with all the RG standards, it is a bit of a minefield and sometimes content can be overlooked, I am sure we are all guilty as charged at some point in our lives :)

I am not the biggest fan of streamers but did everyone have to jump on the bandwagon re: fruity - come on play nice peeps :)

Competition, see a fallen comrade kick em while he is down, at least they had the decency to accept blame and possibly refund the players who used there link, only one I have seen make that effort. Gotta remember in this game you don't have friends only competitors just go through the thread here and you can see who is in it for money, who accepts they rely on customers loosing and who avoids the blame by passing it on through numbers.

erm I'm no expert on affliation or the ukgc's rules/regulation regarding casinos but this page struck me as a bit odd, is this another strange bit of content on fruityslots website that maybe the clueless seo approved?:

Casinos with no-Account

No Account Casinos - Explained
Online casino games have become quite popular with gaming enthusiasts signing up on different websites for a chance to play their favorite games and win some money. To make the process of accessing the games easier, next generation casinos offer No account packages that have been quickly embraced by players.
What are Casinos with no Account?
Casinos with no account are those that do not require registration to play games. They are quite convenient because they eliminate the lengthy process that players often have to go through to set up an account. If you are looking for ways to enjoy playing different games online or are not a regular casino game player then this account is the best one for you. Players only need to deposit money with their preferred casino and they are allowed to play their favorite games.
Besides eliminating the registration process, no account casinos also offer bonuses to players that engage with games on their site. Some of the bonuses that they provide include free spins, cash backs, and welcome bonuses among others.

So how do Casinos with no Account work?
In earlier years, signing up on an online casino was a quick and easy process. However, with the many laws set up by countries to regulate online activities, it has become more complicated. It is for this reason that no account casinos uk are becoming popular because they shorten the process and allow players to get onto their favorite sites with no registration. Thankfully casinos with no account are pretty straightforward to use as they eliminate all the time-wasting activities that are associated with regular casino accounts.
Online casinos with no account allow players to pull funds directly from their bank account to use for playing games. Most times, they use a third-party application to make the handle the deposit process on behalf of the customer. Although signing up with the third party may be required they do not store any personal information of the player. Ultimately, they save players time which allows them to enjoy playing their favorite games for an extended time. Additionally, the bonuses offered by these new generation casinos are sometimes better than regular ones and withdrawals are much faster.
Where can you find No Account Casinos?
The best casinos with no account are many but some offer more value to players than others. Some of the popular casinos that allow games to be played on their platform without an account are listed below.

and it then lists a few casinos before the text returns

How are No Account Casinos different from normal ones?
The debate surrounding no account casinos and regular ones has been going on for a while now with many players choosing the option that works well for them. However, casinos with no account have a great advantage over the regular ones in areas such as being user-friendly. Whether you are a beginner or have been playing online games for many years, you can easily use no account casinos. The casinos do not require personal information, registration or fees to operate as is the case in regular account setups. Also, the risk of getting your identity or money stolen is greatly minimized when using no account casinos.

Conclusion
Overall, casinos with no accounts offer a better experience while saving time, which allows players to have a good time whenever they get onto the platform to play online games.

^^^is all the above about playing games in demo/free mode or an alternative world of casinos I've never heard of, seen debated anywhere or encountered?

Edit: Following on from the helpful posts below, the above relates to systems available in parts of europe, linked via an app and your bank account. So read as background info it isn't wrong, such things do exist except are not yet available for uk players

I call such a page a "SEO bitch" because it is basically a keyword farm. Just check how often they mentioned among other keywords "casino + no account" very close to each other. :D But it shows that the SEO guy FS is employing is rather pathetic. Google specifically warns of too high keyword density and ranks you lower when they detect it.

Pay&Play Casinos use Trustly/BankID to verify you, so the casino still knows who you are, you just don't have to register an account.

You enter your deposit amount, get redirected to your banking page, log-in, deposit and you are good to go. Withdrawals are going back to the same account and are usually done within minutes.

This sounds like it's alluding to social casinos which you often see on faecebook and twatter. Nothing wrong with most of them, you often see excluded gamblers using them to avoid monetary losses. Although if this keyword-loaded text was created by an 'SEO specialist' my cock's a kipper as they say....

P.S. And it appears Harry has spotted the difference I missed in that you actually play real cash.

In fact I have been advised this is Scandinavian thing whereby they use a Govt. ID tied to a personal bank account to register without having to fill in details as the site can get what info they need off the Govt. database. A bit Big Brother but it works well apparently?

AFAIK, Pay&Play works in Sweden only. Some in Germany and Finland but not the UK.

In the uk is this? I've never heard of it, and it was just normal casinos listed, 'pay&play' isn't mentioned anywhere. I could see how the idea might work, the app or central site, does all the registration stuff for you, and then ukgc rules would apply to them regarding SOWs and responsible gambling tools and controls.

Well, if your teenage kid gets hold of your bank login+password, plus has access to your phone to retrieve the OTP then yes. But it is not known so far to be a problem.

No, Harry just said not available in the UK, but it does have advantages. So there's nothing wrong with the guy's website page, aside from the amateurish SEO keyword loading.
:)

Yup and verification is kept much stronger (as Harry pointed also) as you are using your personal bank id which is also used for example Spelpause exclusion register which is kind of impossible to circumvent if you don't use other persons identity and bank account to play which probably is quite impossible to detect. Some Sweds here have been pointed how strong their Bankid verification is and it saves so much hassle as you don't need to send your pictures to get verified when it's done automatically.

The BankID is a tool to verify people for banking-related stuff and this is a new application for them. It is actually one of the most secure ways for a transfer as there are multiple security steps built-in. You usually need to enter an OTP to access your online banking and then another OTP to authorize the transaction.

Plus, all what Slottery mentioned....thanks for saving me the typing. :)

Mack, here is how the front page of a Pay&Play casino looks. There are no other banking options, no promotional offers, no welcome package..... simply play, win or lose, carry on - all cash. :)

Whilst playing, you can set-up deposit/loss/wager/session limits, etc.

Maybe the ukgc is missing something here then, this could be the future, a joined up system secured by the bank's id checking protocols.
