WARNING Affiliates Who Target Problem Gamblers

Maybe the ukgc is missing something here then, this could be the future, a joined up system secured by the bank's id checking protocols.

And it could be used to prevent payments to 1668/JAZ shithole casinos and the like, integrated into the UKGC list of licensed casinos!

Dream on Dazza...

BankID is actually available in the UK, the banks have just not started using it for whatever reason.

Let's put it this way, the software systems are in place to support BankID, I don't know though on what it depends to be allowed to use.

I've added an edit to my post above, I still feel a uk player new to the gambling world may find the content confusing as it doesn't stipulate anything about being country specific, however as background info and possibly the future way things will be done everywhere [incl uk] it's fine.

ps. I knew it was a mistake to post on industry matters  I better go back to the nk thread, I only get things half wrong there :p

There was something in the news yesterday about contactless cards in the uk using fingerprint technology, so that would also tie in well to this pay and play system.

I still owe you an answer in the NK thread, just been too busy and also too lazy to look for the pages I wanted to post for the answers.

We would like to inform you that the PlayFrank Affiliates team has taken the relevant action in regard to these particular affiliates and have since terminated the accounts with immediate effect, requesting also that their brand be removed and dissociated.

The PlayFrank team were also not aware of this affiliates unethical and highly irresponsible practices and would like to make it known that we do not tolerate or condone this type of behaviour. We at Playfrank are committed to providing a safe casino experience with our customers wellbeing at the heart of this.

We would also like to thank Casinomeister and Duncan from thepogg for their help in bringing this information to their attention.

Brief update after going through a lot of emails. The following have informed us they have severed ties with the identified affiliates:

- White Hat Gaming (my understanding is that they are dealing with this as a license wide issue rather than allowing individual affiliate programs to make the decision).
- ComeOn (Katy's already been pretty clear about this so this is just conformation)
- Calzone Affiliates

TP

The LeoVegas Affiliate team has been informed about these affiliates, and we will be taking the required action. We were unaware of these unethical practices, and have informed our affiliate compliance team to be on the look out for affiliates targeting problem gamblers to ensure that LeoVegas has no association with them. Here at LeoVegas we are committed to the wellbeing of our players,
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.
and will not tolerate this kind of behavior from our affiliate partners. Thank you to Casinomeister for flagging this issue!

Nice to see most casinos have removed themselves from the sites mentioned earlier in the thread, in fact casinomir seems to have removed all UKGC licensed ones.

Shames theres still a couple of accredited ones listed on choice and quite a few on their other associated sites like maxbets. Suppose we know now who don't care about stuff like this and just want the money.

Yeah, it seems pretty much a full house as far as that site you mentioned goes, which was the worst IMO with the scam 1668/JAZ sites offered to PG's. FTR I contacted EGO about this as thePOGG and CM as far as I know didn't have them on their lists to report it to. They have assured me 'action is being taken' and I did point out that this thread demonstrates the accredited sites have taken termination as the appropriate action, so hopefully this will come to pass shortly, if it hasn't already.

Are those few that haven't taken action ones that have terminated C*****mir but are maybe not aware or need reminding about M*xb*ts?

well choicecasinos still have

casimba
casumo
nobonuscasino

listed

maxfb still have

genting
comeon
leovegas
energybet
mrgreen
32red
royalpanda
unibet
yako
fun
casinoeuro
abc
rizk
casumo
playojo
bgo

still listed.

zamsino still have loads listed too

Just to add, as mfb were using the same affiliate accounts as choice, then even though the casinos that are still listed on mfb were removed from choice, clearly the affiliate accounts are either still active, or they have been allowed to open new ones.

I just wanted to say its great to see everyone rallying together for one common goal.

From a punters perspective, this is very positive.

Thanks for all the summaries, I hope this pans out to a satisfactory resolution, it looks like it can and will be such a positive achievement.

I would suspect new ones, unless the casinos have closed the aff accounts at the worst sites and made them amend or remove PG SEO on some others. It's a mess. Judging by the names on the second list, I would suggest this site has been excused on condition, or missed.

Alas a new torrent of filth has been detected. Exclusive shithole casinos. It makes you wanna weep.
xxx ... nongamstopcasinos.com/

Now they're even buying the f*cking domains. It gets worse.
***…. bestuk.casino/not-on-gamstop/

Still 2 'reputable' casinos there, Volt and Cashmio

well if they were allowed to open new ones, then shows its just money money money for the casinos and what they have said in this thread is just lip services doesn't it.

I'm talking generally here - not saying this is the case for any specific operator and it would be good for each operator to confirm the issue themselves - but there are some technical issues with redirecting aff links in some cases. This means that if the affiliate refuses to take the listing down the operator look implicated regardless of any actions they can take.

We saw similar problems with the mass WordPress hacking a few years back - where the people behind it were intentionally leaving certain listings up to cause trouble even though their account had been closed.......

Here is one more site that targets "nogamstop" keywords beatthecasinos.co.uk/gambling-at-casinos-not-on-gamstop/.

And here is a chunk of text from their site "If you are tempted to find Casinos not on GAMSTOP, then read on."

There are also banners from Videoslots and Allbritish casino. Would be good to let them know!

I'm not sure what the problem is there tbh, unless I've missed something it doesn't seem to list a single site that isn't on gamstop and specifically tells people not to try to get round it or use unlicensed casinos?

they can 404 the links surely? Which is what they should be doing regardless.
Then cease and desist notices etc.

It's not a badly written article with some sensible advice/points, but 3 or 4 times it uses the phrase "Casinos not on GAMSTOP " for me with the sole purpose of keyword loading, which I think is a bit cynical as they're looking to benefit from people searching google for this. most likely addicts who are struggling with not being able to gamble after signing up. I don't think affliates should be using the topic of gamstop as filler content to attract traffic and sign ups, it's too cynical for my taste.

But they aren't going to get sign ups from people searching those keywords, as all the casinos they advertise are on gamstop?
If it does attract hits like that, all the people are going to see is reasons why not to try to sign up anywhere.
