Is this true, affiliates are now going to be regulated directly?

Find reviews for more UK-Licensed casinos in our reviews section.

In prison? Seems a bit harsh, even if you don't like him :p

If he breaks the rules and gets dragged to court there could be a fine I guess. Since I don't watch him or know much about him I don't know what exactly he's doing (wrong). The topic you linked is a bit vague and afaik promoting crypto casinos isn't forbidden.

Firstly there is no indication as of yet this is true about affiliate licensing - you are effectively 'licensed' anyway as your licensed casinos you promote will make you do things by the rules anyway, all the CAP, LCCP and UKGC ones. It's been talked about in the past but would be expensive for the UKGC and they cannot control affiliates promoting to multiple jurisdictions outside the UK anyway.

I am editing the title here from " Should Chipmonkz be in prison?" to something more reasonable as it's very perjorative and inflammatory, plus we don't approve of (or allow in the CM rules) cross-forum posting, where you got this subject from and copied that image from.

Incidentally, the image contains one big error - the words 'to the UK market.' should be added to the end. No rules or laws exist, or likely ever would, forbidding a UK resident to run an affiliate site that promoted to markets outside the UK.

There's no laws against what he does as far as I can tell, he's not even doing it from the UK anyway IIRC. There's no laws in the UK preventing people playing at unlicensed or crypto casinos either. Or from promoting them as long as the offers don't use wording directly aimed at UK residents on behalf of unlicensed sites - the rules apply to UK-facing casinos that allow and advertise for UK players. Many on here from the UK play 'grey' crypto sites.

I dont watch chip, but all I see now lot of UK streamers are pushing to very bad crypto casinos, most of this crypto casinos are own by same scam casinos they target gamblers in gamstop, BC K8 casinos are the same company own by casinos they charger when you make deposit from Africa Turkey etc is really bad, and chip is one of them pushing everyone to join this scams crypto casinos

I can't see how the UKGC can stop for example me promoting a Crypto casino that is not regulated by them. They have no jurisdiction or authority to do so in my opinion.

Why should they? It shouldn't be any business of the UK Government where I spent my money that I already paid tax over via my wages.

Not knowing the full details I could be wrong but I like to think that while our freedoms are slowly being eroded, we have a long way to go before a nationwide ban on Twitch like Iran.

But I guess there is nothing actually stopping them, we would probably roll over and accept it.

Impossible to enforce. Unless its a total ban of a social network such as twitter. Not gonna happen and neither would many want it to. Even though I find said streamer in question odious to say the least. Its there own business what they do outside of the UK. If you dont like it just block it yourself. The above quote you shared was a total ban on Twitch. To ban individual accounts can only be done by the moderators of each platform. Impossible to enforce or manage a goverment ban on individuals. Enough damage has already been done to the UK gambling scene by the UKGC they need less involvment not more. But not gonna happen. Which is why I play exclusivly now at offshore none UK registered casinos. Never had a single issue.

Think the thread should be titled 'Does Chipmonkz or any other streamer give a flying about advertising rules?'
Well I changed this to something more appropriate since our membership nor Google wants to read about Chipmoknzzzzz stuff. Seriously, can we lay off the personal agendas? Thank you.

No personal agenda, really. He nor anyone else in the industry is that relevant in my life to warrant any personal agenda. The title mentioned Chipmonkz so I did also.

I will endeavour to exclude his name from any further posts

yes they can (which can easily be bypassed) but they are not going to block youtube for the sake of gambling. Neither will they block twitter. And they can not block and individual account on a social media platform. Not gonna happen.

I have been hearing a lot about The Restrict Act, its all-encompassing definitions around data and outlawing the use of VPNs.

They (The USA) will be able to block whatever they want if it comes into force, regulating any information across the net.

The net is tightening. But it's all for your own protection, for the sake of national security, nothing to do with controlling your speech, and there is nothing to worry about by having your freedom stripped.

some thinks is all about one person, not the way GOV see it, they are 110,000 jobs over 4b paid in tax, they never going to let Black market take it away, is like USA is talking to ban all tiktok 😂
