The biggest max bets were at Intercasino (and maybe others with the same games). More than once the only thing that saved me from making a $250 spin was not having $250. Not only did the number of coins change, the denomination changed as well

3Dice does have the option under their max bet button of setting the number of coins to use while betting max. So it is definitely not that it can't be done.

It doesn't increase revenue though, whatever i deposit they will normally get to keep whether i do all small spins or mistakenly press Max Bet once or twice. all it does is annoy players which may make them change games to another supplier, Netent to Microgaming for example, so then Netent do lose revenue.

As has been said before the best way to have Max Bet is if the button just changes the stake but doesn't spin the reels so all spins are done by the spin button then there are no issues with it.

That is exactly what I just said to the Vera & John rep when they replied to my PM

They kindly did compensate me with a free bonus chip, but losing my money (no matter how annoying - it was my fault) was not my main reason for contacting them.
Apparently the software supplier said that increasing to max coin VALUE instead of NUMBER of coins bet was a deliberate incorporation of the slot's design and they think it's good because it's different from other slots.

Some Playtech casinos used to default the bet to $1 coin, 10 coins per line on their 20- and 25-line slots upon the new download. A new player who just clicked "SPIN" (not even Max Bet) would effectively bet $200 or $250 on the single spin. Not sure if the issue is corrected by now. The worst part was that even if you hit a win, and you played with a bonus, you may have problems cashing out unless you kept betting large, as some casinos have explicit terms which prohibit significant lowering of your bet after a win. Well I wish I HAD hit Max Bet before this spin!

V&J gave me a €75 bonus to make up for my error, so I went back to the same slot for revenge - and much to my surprise, I got it!
Did 150 or so spins at 75c - got free-spins a few times, but not great returns. So decided to do a few at €1.75 and lucky got free-spins again...

Play N Go have the Max Bet button set so it just raises the stake but doesn't spin.

I just don't see the need for the button at all though, if a player can't find the buttons that raise the stakes then he shouldn't really be playing.

On MGS slots, the 'Enter / Return' key on your keyboard repeats the value of the previous spin & you are correct, pressing the space bar initiates the spin at max bet.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that on Microgaming's latest releases there is no max bet button and pressing the space bar only spins at your current bet size.

However they have NOT updated the older slots so if you forget and then go to play an older slot it will still max bet at your current coin size when the space bar is pressed.

What i find extremely sneaky with these keyboard shortcuts is that they aren't mentioned anywhere in the slot itself which means that most people have no idea that the space bar can mess them up.

If anyone from NetEnt are reading this, it's time to get rid of the pesky Max bet button and how about one-upping MG and doing it consistently across the board

Imagine you pressed betmax and 5 scatters appeared though how epic would that be a simple slip up wins a fortune hahaha! I once did this on Thunderstruck original I bet 4.50 by mistake and saw 2 scatters if only the third had appeared! One of the worst games for this type of error is MGs tomb raider when coming off the bonus game if you don't click in the right bit of the bonus exit button it presses betmax of £3.75!

Funny how a similar thing just happen to me before logging in here and seeing this thread again.

I don't hit the max bet button, but I play a lot on my mobile, and I forgot to go into the settings and reduce the bet. It was only a small amount of $15 that was in my Guts account, so no major deal, but I thought I'd use it for some fun at minimum bet. Stupid me forgot to change the auto bet after waiting for the game to load, and my first three spins were at $4 before I noticed.

Would have been great if I managed a win from those first three spins, but I didn't, so now I just feel stupid and annoyed, lol. Needless to say I only have myself to blame for my shorter then expected session :-(.

On a brighter note I just won €700 from 25 free spins at redbet, so that makes up for it . It's the most I've ever won from free spins ever, and will convert nicely to AUD.

I once made the mistake of betting max when I was intending to bet $0.30.

But! I got lucky and hit the bonus round. You have no idea how happy I was considering I had less than $10 left and was down to just $1.51 moments before.

I got 5 of a kind so thought i'd play 3 spins @ $0.60. When I tried to lower my bet I accidently double clicked because the button is broke from all the slots play. It done a double click and placed bet on $3.00.

When that feature landed....
