Your Fur-Babies 2019

Sad News this morning. After putting fresh food in for the 2 dwarfs we noticed only one got up. So we had a dig around the sawdust to find pip but she had burrowed to the bottom and sadly passed away in the night.

My hubster was playing poker with a couple friends and our baby Huskie was being bad so I put her in the pot and told her if she doesnt stop chewing ankles, she would be gone to the winner!

I'm not sure if i'm liking the sight of of the pug,the beer or chips most

She was a rescue cat. We got her after she was ran over and was in recovery as the owner refused to stump up for her surgery. Her age was a guess by the vet but she was over 20 when she died :(

That is a great age. Cats do seem to be living longer and longer, although I was advised by my vet not to expect cats over here to live as long as their UK counterparts. I guess it is due to a combination of ticks, weather (extreme heat), snakes, goannas, etc. And people, who seem to think hunting cats is a great sport.

Poor little thing. Was it due to age, or totally unexpected?

My Manx kitty Tank Girl....she's majestic AF

You are right...she really is as majestic AF! :D

You can tell I am a cat person, but all those doggies are absolutely adorable.

However....and I am really sorry, @LadyJelena - but I can't get my head around dogs in the bed. Cats - Yes. Dogs - hmmmm.

@ladyhawke - Well, I'm a bit extreme when it comes to dogs :D There's really nothing that makes me eeeew coming from them  Like moms who think everything is so cute and funny coming from their baby, that's how I feel about dogs and especially puppies :D But also my dog is a poodle and they don't smell nor moult ( I actually don't know a proper word for that) :)

My precious two that have ‘gone to be stars’ over the last 18 months:

And my new pup:

Your new pup is gorgeous. Love the white bushy end of his tail. :)

There is a lovely scene in 'The Last of the Mohicans' between Hawkeye and Cora, where he says: "and the stars he threw into the night sky to remind him of her soul...to be her monument."

So your two fur babies are the brightest of stars - with an eternal monument.

My brother and SIL have a labradoodle (a very close relation to your poodle. :D) as he also doesn't moult. However their little borderjack more than makes up for that. I just can't believe the amount of hair a small, smooth-haired dog can shed!

My cat sheds as well - so much that I almost have enough fur to knit a sweater.

I know most ginger cats are male - shame on me for making that mistake. Sorry Sookie! - BUT...in our local RSPCA, there is a ginger cat called Bobbi waiting for adoption. A female Manx.
Yeah 99% of gingers are male and 99% of tortieshell are female, male torties are renowned for being very strange cats.

Loved Tru Blood. Read the books years before the series came out, and had a hard time adjusting, due to the characters being so different. But in the end it won me over.

Tabbies are the best. She is truly gorgeous - how old? My oldest was 21 when she died - with me for 17 years, and she never lost her bitey/scratchy ways. At the end, she used to gum me as she was missing most of her teeth, but the claws were still in good working order.:D

It’s the only way I have ever been able to explain death to young children... no matter what question they throw at you, there is an answer in the stars...
“Will I see Oscar again?” “Where is Oscar?”
They know stars are beautiful. Stars are real but beyond stars are beyond their reach.
