OK, it's that time of year again! Last year I composed an unofficial poll of major new slot releases from 30-11-2015 to 30-11-2016.

The winner was [strike]Novomatic's[/strike] Play'n Go's Book Of Dead if I remember rightly!

There was a bit of criticism as I only selected slots I had provided video reviews for on CM and these were only major releases. As you are all aware this year I have reviewed just about every new game available for UKGC or EU players from many developers. ALL can be searched for on my YT channel or on CM's 'New Slot Announcements' in the search box, should you need reminding of how good or crap they have been.

Like me you may be surprised that some of the games you think you've 'been playing for ages' only went live in the last 12 months!

OK, the voting is a simple reply on this thread and will close Sunday 17 December so you've got over 3 weeks to choose.

The system is the same as before: you pick FIVE slots from the list in the post below and rate them in order of preference as your top 5 of the year.

On Sunday 17 Dec. I will collate all the results and name the winner, second etc. in a table plus overall developer scores, slot that was most voters' favourite (it's possible for it not to win on overall points).

There is a second task: You should also nominate ONE slot from this list below for the TOSSER 2017 Award - (The Overwhelmingly Shittiest Slot Ever Released)

The list is in no particular order, not sorted into developers so you need to scan all the slots to make a more informed decision!

The scoring is the same; your first choice gets 5 points, down to 1 point for your fifth choice. So please people, I need replies like this, no qualification necessary, just a simple post, for example:

You may see it as negativity but I see it as constructive comment. I appreciate the time and effort that you have put into your reviews and this pole Dunover

The slots that have legs to go on being popular for years to come has to be DHV and Bonanza. I would also add White Rabbit to that list. But because I view them as dangerous slots to get into because of their seeming ability to get folk too addicted my vote for best new slot of the year goes to Reactoonz.

Reactoonz has the capacity for very big payouts and in my experience with that slot the base game alone can keep your balance fairly steady more often than not.

Wow that's a long list. But I'll be honest, I'll be damned if I've even heard nevermind played half of them

I like games that have some payout potential, this is what I think slots should be all about. If done stylishly with entertainment to boot, even better

1. Bonanaza -Oh my goodness, has it only been out this long?

2. Danger HV - Once my favourite but beaten into 2nd due to its balance-busting basegame

3. Jungle Spirit - Netent's best release since CFTBL

4. Moon Princess - Impressive little number by an emerging provider

5. White Rabbit - BTG clean up. Base game boring as hell but bonus on par with its older brothers (once it gets into swing)

Tosser goes to Twin Spin Deluxe. Somehow Notent thought merging an all-time favourite with Aloda Clusterfuck would hit home with fans. No one likes Aloha, and this effort simply insults all that believe in good slot design. Lazy and catering to the lowest common denominator

Right here goes, no shockers, I'm afraid!

1) Bonanza - Fair game 7/10 - Can hit huge 'x' from my piddly little bets for that chance of either a decent cash out or even an hour in the "fast lane" at higher bets - Let down by the rarity of the 'D' where almost every other cascade you see the other scatters drop so easily

2) DHV! again chance of great low stake hits, nice choice of 2 unique(ish) features, let down by base game but have had/seen some nice hits with the x6 reel strips.

Quite easy most of the time to tell when these are in munching mode without losing too much also which has to be a plus! (I'll leave it there for another time another thread )

3) Blood Suckers II - Had to think about this one, only recently started to play but found it always seems to give a fair crack of the whip and 'bonus' is quite regular to keep that session going. Paytable heading towards a bit pissy but generally a decent release.

4) Jungle Spirit - Yup not one but TWO Netent's in my list - Gone off the boil a bit lately, scatters seem a lot more scarce than when first released. However chosen due to hit potential from low bets, base game and feature both have good hit potential and game speed is good. Like the feature variance choices.

5) Jurassic World - Had difficulty in choosing a 5th, especially from MGS! - However I like the game speed and the ability to win a multiplier on the total win rather than the total staked. Features are interesting (apart from the one on the LHS!) - Stacked wilds actually show quite often which although don't deliver huge wins, can keep you playing for a while.

Hands down best slot released in 2017 has to be Danger High Voltage even though it can be quite streaky. I have had some bad features on this slot but equally good features and honestly can't say that about too many slots. Also potential is huge on this and even though few will see the potential most people will experience between 100-300x on I think.

Coming in as my number 2 vote would be Planet of The Apes, the first new Netent game I have liked and enjoyed for a long long time. I like the fact that you have two different bonus round and three in game features which keeps me entertained and have helped build my bankroll more than once.

Worst slots of the year goes to Oink Country Love. Stupid game stupid theme robs your money just a stupid slot all round. To be fair I have hated all the new MG slots this year.

Play'nGo I vote worst slot being Moon Princess too streaky for my liking. I know a lot of people like this slot but generally I hate the tiled themed slots and this one in particular features. The in game extras often produce zero results and that bloody Storm removes symbols often that would be a win in drop down. Also don't like the childish Ainime theme but that is just me.

Edit: Of course the worst slot release has to be first romance. What a horror show that review was but since it's from a obscure provider and will never be available or at least I hope so in any casino that we play at.
