so Go Spain Go!!! :D :D

last C Ronaldo Game with Portugal????

Interesting fact:

Lamine Yamal, a Spanish footballer, is only 16 years old and already plays for the national team. And according to various sources, earns €5 million a year. Not bad, eh?
Well... This guy is the golden-boy fr following decade I hope.defending fcb team...

Laugh or cry? The clearest hand ball in man's memory and VAR remain silent. And at such a crucial stage too. Yet, earlier in the tournament they have penalized every little imaginary offense they could think of. What a pharse. Feel for the Germans. 100% penalty not given, and boom! Auf wiedersehen.

You are thinking of the traditional handball rules, it's changed quite a bit in recent years - such that there has to be some intent and/or an unnatural position - neither were true and so it wasn't called as handball by the referee or VAR.

Interesting first match anyway, not quite the game to set the tournament ablaze, but also not the snorefest we've had a few of this week! Hopefully Portugal v France brings the fireworks.

Of course Anthony Taylor let the game run away from him, and of course he had to find a way to be the centre of attention!

Aided by his fellow stooge-in-waiting Stuart Attwell opting not to give a blatant penalty, it has all the usual hallmarks of 'engineering' favourable outcomes for certain teams. Who knew!

Nothing subtle about it, it wasn't rocketed at fro-boy from a yard out, and it matters little whether his arm was coming down or whether he was doing star jumps, the defender blatantly had his arm out and prevented a goalward-bound sizzler.

VAR and its perma-inclusion in these tournaments going forward shows no sign of becoming properly deployed, so long as the referees continue to be biased gimps. The football has clearly suffered as a result, with the natural ebb and flow, as well as passion, completely thrown out....

Haven't seen a dirtier team than Spain since Holland '10, the filthy bastards were committing 'tactical fouls' every 15 seconds. F**k Spain.

As for England, f*** them, too. With another rose-pettled favourable half of the draw, their listless displays and media hype have once again made them believe they're world-beaters. Their jamminess knows no bounds. There's just nothing there from the unlikeable muppets.

Football died in this tournament, it's nothing more than a corporate plaything. Which is a shame :D

Can't really judge intent, though... All I know is that the shot was heading for the goal, but a defender's hand stopped it. Back when I learned football, that was a penalty. But yeah, the game's indeed changed. For the worse! 😄

Belgium got denied a goal by the VAR because of a handball after Openda was pushed and shoved into touching the ball with his hand.

Intent my ass.

Fuck the VAR.

Just seen Ronaldo's miss, time for him to hang up his boots and peacock strutting (though he's a bit more subtle these days), there's a reason why not many nations decide to field a 37 yr old up front!

Saying that, by the time I've corrected the mistakes writing this he'll have scored and make me look a doughnut 😅

The former does not need to happen for the latter to be the case *

* Jesus Christ, I went full bitch mode there!!:eek2::oops::p:laugh:

I'm ever so sorry, mack. Genuinely and honest to god I am guv'naaa

Wow mystic mack is still in business, france seem to have a knack of winning all sorts of games, Deschamps is a good coach, similar to his playing career he'd surprise you from time to time, wily.

Obviously he's not in Southgate's league, as we will find out in the mack predicted final 😊
The man is a winner, simple as that.

And so the lacklustre French makes it through. Can't believe a side fielding Mbappe is the snooze fest of the tournament, England aside. Fans of defensive, tactical football might have had their moments of joy watching this anti-football but in truth, France have allowed their opponents a lot of 50/50 opportunities to score and are undoubtedly somewhat lucky to still be around. Hoping Spain takes it home now, for the sake of enjoyable football, or the Swiss for the sake of pure team spirit and their role as underdogs.

Even Sam Allardyce would have had more of a clue on how to manage this England team.
This match was here for England to take control of but the negativity of Southgate has cost them a chance of a semi final spot.

That aged well 😂😂😂
But the subs should have been on 15 minutes earlier and they mightn’t have been behind.

I see Mouthgate and England have slithered into another semi-final. For 3 of the last 4 tournaments the spawny twat has somehow inveigled the easy half of the draw, on those occasions where a top side is left in their half (i.e. Spain in WC 2018 knocked out by Russia) someone else does the dirty work and conveniently gets rid of them. Of course in the one of the last four when this didn't happen, (WC 2022) we were easily binned off by France in the QF.

So 4/5 games thus far England have drawn after 90 minutes and are still in somehow. The conky creep lives a charmed life.

And the 2nd half? :p

If you zoom right in, there is a toggle switch to flip the pitch, all good mate :p

Regarding tonight, I have a sneaky suspicion despite the Spanish being by far the best team I've seen this Euros and the French being way off point, we are going to see some sort of "upset"

Thought I'd tune in for the last minutes of this match, and majesty on display, and true to form, I've not been disappointed.

Just the nine tactical Spanish fouls, three feigned injuries and eight minutes of time-wasting!
